141  Local / India / Re: Question about opening current account for bitcoin trading on: July 25, 2019, 06:23:37 PM
When I asked about opening a current account for crypto trading they said you need to have GST tin number for having current account so literally you cannot open current account in India for crypto trading and also RBI said your account will be blocked if you are using it for buying or selling cryptos.

You can't open even current account for bitcoin trading because bank transactions is barred for any transactions of crypto.

That's why mostly exchanges closed in India.
Yes I did explained the same thing in my above post but you know faking the documents in India is not a big task so people who can use their current account for bitcoin trading and can use other documents for filing the taxes.

It is not assumption anymore. It is coming. OP updated accordingly. What's next?
So this news is an official statement of Indian government?

But didn't see much of buzz around the forum about this ban yet.

143  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are some things all gambling websites/apps/games should have? on: July 24, 2019, 06:20:09 PM
Everything should be quicker; I mean from loading the game to responses from customer-support must be quicker. We are all at gambling sites to find entertainment and making us waiting for more than expected/usual time must be annoying for any gambler. I support fun-seeking gambling still customer support is more important when gambling sites are dealing with actual hard-earned money.

Sadly depending on the chain, the betting can be pretty slow if it's not centralized. At least in the sites i've played on. Luckily it doesn't affect anything else being slow.

you forgot that the speed of the pages will also depend on your connection because its useless if the site is centralize and known to be fast but if your connection is capped or lower than 4g  . also not all decentalized sites are slow   . ive been using some dex sites on the past and my connection is only average (3.5g) but the site loads okay  . costumer support on the other hand is not my main concern because i dont experience any issues when playing a gambling online  .
When you do stick into a reputable gambling site then you wont experience too much when it comes to problem unlike on playing into new and shady ones. When it comes to loading times it do only matter with internet connection or into sites ui itself would have the problem.

What matter most to me is fairness, security and fast support.
Loading pages also causes serious issues on the sites like dice or sport bets because we might click the wrong or double the bet amount if we click refresh.

So site needs to be sleek and fast as well.

I'm curious to know what you all feel are the most important features of gambling websites/apps/games?
Chat box.

Fast replying customer support not the bots.

Multiple coins.

Multiple games.

Support on bitcointalk.

It was alleged before, was made publically available couple days ago.
Right and you are talking about this : https://twitter.com/SecretaryDEA/status/1153302518815834119 right?

Any announcement from official press release?

This is official: https://t.co/Eikcft2Fhb?amp=1
If yes this causes the current price dump on bitcoin?

I don't think India have much impact on global crypto market.
Might be but the ban news will impact on other asian countries as well that people will get fear that in their country also bitcoin will be banned.

149  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does Coinbase Have More Users Than Binance? on: July 23, 2019, 08:19:20 PM
I just saw one news that Coinbase recorded about 8 Million new users within one year. Also that Coinbase have about 30 Million users since its launch in 2012. news here: https://www.cryptoinformers.info/news/204-about-8-million-new-users-joined-coinbase-within-one-year

Do you think Binance have up-to 30 Million users compare to what Coinbase have?
Not possible though if you are talking about the exchange's account because coibase not available for many countries but binance can be accessed by most people so they have high chance of users.

Maybe coinbase also reported their wallet users which made the numbers look huge.
150  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambler's mindset! on: July 23, 2019, 06:59:24 PM
Gambling is not trading in the foreign exchange market.  Here we need completely different approaches and another way of thinking.  If the trader is always striving to get a good result and therefore applies his experience and professionalism, the gambler needs the most success.
But no one is asking about the difference of both trading and gambling mate,in here we tackle our mindset as gambler and how we handle this addicting field

For me mindset of gambler must be responsible and must have self controlled for the reason that if we don’t have those attitude and behavior for sure failure is what we always get in Gambling area
Self control upto certain limit will work but after that our ego will cash the self control and collapse everything then we will just run behind the bets and losses.
151  Local / India / Re: What can we do? on: July 23, 2019, 04:47:29 PM
Cryptocurrencies are going to be banned in India for sure.
And they are calling it as a ban on "private" digital currency? What do they even mean by that? Are they talking about ICOs? or they do really think that every cryptocurrency is "private".

What can we do to stop such a stupid ban placed by stupid people who have no idea about how cryptocurrencies actually works?
How you can say that it is going to be banned?

Only from bank side they are talking about banning, but government didn't even say anything about cryptos in the budget season as well.

You aren't mr.current affairs, are you?

They shown draft bill publically yesterday, which is about banning of cryptocurrency completely.

https://t.co/Eikcft2Fhb?amp=1

However, this needs to be passed in Parliament before it becomes a law. I won't be surprised if it passes.
This is just the draft from 2019,then why you are saying yesterday?

153  Local / India / Re: Question about opening current account for bitcoin trading on: July 22, 2019, 06:48:40 PM
Why do you want to register for GST?
Trade volume over 20L will definitely attract GST.

When I asked about opening a current account for crypto trading they said you need to have GST tin number for having current account so literally you cannot open current account in India for crypto trading and also RBI said your account will be blocked if you are using it for buying or selling cryptos.
You must get current a/c without GST number. Not every business do 20L+ volume in a year.
Yes I know that there is something called personal current account which only needs pan and aadhar card to get access and minimum balance of 50,000 INR but my question is will our bank allow us to use that account for crypto trading? When RBI banned it.

I would like to remind you of what you said a few weeks back. Looks like you have Signature Campaign on your mind.

Nothing related to crypto here so better to move this to off topic.
Even on the main section I got few views and never reply related to the topic I created.

Anyways topic moved,

Have somewords about the topic?
157  Local / Off-Topic (India) / Bank called me and offered a credit card! on: July 20, 2019, 08:46:20 AM
Yesterday I got a call from one reputed bank and said I am eligible for a credit card now based on my transaction history.

Do I need to take this offer or it will be a bad thing to accept it.
158  Local / Off-Topic (India) / Re: telegram @mercyphillic, I'm seeking real sellers. no scammers pls on: July 19, 2019, 05:43:26 PM
Dear, this is not a trading section. Please move your thread to the below section.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=53.0

Also use localbitcoins platform for safer buying and selling of bitcoin instead of finding a trader here. Localbitcoins offer escrow services so that everyone can be assured about the integrity of the trade.
But if he just begin on lbc then probability of finding the huge trade is likely less possible because many traders only allow people with high feedback score to respond to their advertisement.

You can also add the asking price and also add the specs of cards for the people to identify whether its worth buying or not.
