Vega FE miner performance is horrible compared to where it should be. It’s not just this miner but other miners have the same performance issue. Just wondering if the mining dev team is looking into this.
The problem is i don't have a FE, so i can't really do anything Not your fault Dok, it's not the miner, it's more a driver thing. Thanks for your patience, I'm sure the complaints get old after a while. And double thanks for your continued development on what I believe is the best cryptonight miner around! To those w/ FEs: driver: win10-64bit-radeon-pro-software-enterprise-18.q3.1-oct1 But a couple of tricks you have to use to pull it off: 1. go into global settings and turn off HBCC memory. 2. if using SRBMiner, you have to have --enableduplicategpuid in the bat file, and then double up the threads in the config file for V8. I'm using 124 for intensity and 16 for worksize. FE still the king, hashing V8 @ ~2125 H/s one other thing: use the precompiled kernel that comes with SRBMiner, do not compile the kernel with the new drivers. confirmed: When turning off hbcc Vega FE gets 2125 but when miner switch algo to heavy, vega FE is getting `500 h/s how did you solve this ?

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: SRBMiner Cryptonight AMD GPU Miner V1.6.7 - with algo switching support

Hi dok... miner is running great. very stable.
I have mix of gpus in my rig ... i have Rx vega56&64 + i have 1 vega frontier edition.
Problem with algo switching mining:
Rx vegas run on intensity 56 or 57 for heavy algo or bittube which give me 1570h/s
where as for Vega FE can run on more intensities, like 96 which gives you 2000+ h/s for heavy algo.
Now in algo switching scenario if i add 56 intensity in my config file then my VEGA FE gets lower hash rate. in next update can you manage individual gpu intensity for multi algo mining ?
Hope i there is a way.
Thanks

Dok + everyone ... got a minor situation here.
I have mining rig mixed of cards listed below
2x Vega56 3x Vega64 1x Vega FE
On drivers 18.6.1 drivers ( as recommended by you dok ) i am not able to control fans peed for Vega FE card. No matter what software i use.. afterburner or overdriven!
Blockchain drivers is not a problem .. but doing these new drivers are not helping. ( and new drivers surely have better hash rates )
Have tried installing game ready driver for VegaFE and installing 18.6.1 on top after that and is still not helping.
Have set target temp and fan speed in bat file .... still not working
Please advise
Thanks

Also, please refer any forums or discord channels which i can follow for what i should be mining with current conditions.

Hi Dok, Thank you for all the answers you have given me so for all my noob questions. Currently i am mining bittubev2 algo and my hashrates and overdrive settings are shown in the attached screen shot. Gpus according to order showing in screen shot:- 1 - Vega56 (sapphire reference card, samsung mem) 2 - Vega FE (sapphire reference card, samsung mem) 3 - Vega56 (sapphire reference card, samsung mem) 4 - Vega64 (sapphire reference card, samsung mem) 5 - Vega64 (sapphire reference card, samsung mem) 6 - Vega64 (sapphire reference card, samsung mem) I have not been able to achieve the hash rates you are showing, please adviseIntensity 5 You need to start miner with intensity 60, let it work for a few minutes , then start it with intensity 56. This should get you over 1500+ easily. Some call this foreplay. And of course use v1.6.4 I am using blockchain Aug 23 drivers.. is it fine or should i use latest ? Thanks

Dok, thanks for providing an awesome miner.
1. Can you please share you power play table file which you are using with 18.6.1 drivers + Overdrivetool settings for crytonightV7 algo
2. What are your settings for heavy algo in overdrivetool, have you tested yet ?
Thanks
1. powerplay table : https://files.fm/u/s68u78zxOverdrivent: GPU 1450/925mV , MEM 950/910mV Im not looking to get the max hash from the card, just set a value that is stable and works for my miner development. 2. Same settings, as im only using it for testing the miner Thanks Alot

How can i setup API to monitor my rig through url.
Super noob here, please provide step by step guide anyone.
btw great job Dok!, super stable miner.
thanks
in your config.txt file make sure you have something like this: "api_enabled" : true, "api_rig_name" : "RX4708GB", "api_port" : 4444,
of course you can change the rig name and port number. from another workstation in your LAN you use the IP address of your rig followed by the port, so something like this: where 192.168.1.100 is the address of your miner. If you want to access from the internet you may have to open up the port 4444 on your router. I dont see any line in config text file for api setup, you mean i have to type is my self at the end of text file? if you can share how to do it in context file . that will great. thanks in advance

Hey everyone, i am new to this forum. Out of 6, one of my vega 64, when installed BC driver and after running PP registry, went full throttle on fan speed, and windows error shows up showing gpu temp overload and my system hangs. Its just with one card, no matter what i do, on normal driver it works fine, but on BC driver its creating this problem. Is my GPU faulty, should i return it ?. Please help
