Someone bought up all that SPR for cheap!! Can't sell unless there is a buyer on the other end of the order. Profits will be made by the non-emotional traders when the price rebounds.

Burger King Russia Launches Whoppercoin Token on the Waves Platform Russia is a country that never ceases to amaze people. More specifically, the region is quite intriguing when it comes to cryptocurrency and digital assets. It now appears Burger King Russia has issued their own token on Waves Platform. This token is known as Whoppercoin, although its use cases remain to be determined for the time being. This move further confirms Russia is preparing to embrace this new form of finance in a major way ...Damn, nice news. But what is the reason to release token without planned application? Sounds like a pure PR move to me! Burger King already has a mobile app. They could easily integrate the Waves backend to do some sort of rewards program though their existing platforms.

I expect that there will be a lot of unhappy investors come July 19!! I, not being very active following current developments, just happened to stumble across the network swap details today completely by chance. I don't remember getting any email or seeing much other in announcements being made. I could have very easily missed the cut-off date if not for luck.

If there is no deadline then there is never an incentive to make the change over. Everyone is busy and it could take months to get everyone on-board 12.1 if you let them decide when it needs done.
But if there are a few large players that are having problems then I can see giving them a bit more time. But not setting a deadline is not a good practice. Procrastinator speaking.
May I respectfully ask if you are new to Dash? Enforcement usually begins roughly two weeks after the new version is officially released. In our entire history, there's never been a situation where the network just waited for weeks and months on folks to upgrade. Everybody is given a reasonable amount of time and then the trigger is pulled. If you read Evan's 12.1 announcement, you'll note that February 12 is the *earliest* date that enforcement can begin: End users, miners, pool operators, exchanges, and masternode owners have until Sunday, February 12th to update. After that date, we will switch completely to the new version as soon as our engineers determine it is safe to do so, and older versions of the software will drop off the network. (emphasis mine) At some point AFTER February 12, as soon as it is SAFE to do so, enforcement will be turned on. As Minotaur pointed out above, this is a hard fork. As of a couple days ago, our biggest exchange (Poloniex) hadn't yet updated. It seems unwise to just kick them (and all their users) off the network in a fit of pique. But if there are a few large players that are having problems then I can see giving them a bit more time.
I'm not new to Dash. I was only expressing my thoughts out loud. And as I quoted above I'm really ok with Evan's announcement. That's just wasn't the information I remember reading and now upon reading his quote again, I have no issues. But, I must admit I am confused now about what "enforcement" means or does. Some people are saying that as of yesterday only 12.1 masternodes are getting paid. I thought in order for that to happen, enforcement has to be activated. Blocks mined with 12.0 are no longer accepted by the network because of bip65 activation so 12.0 masternodes are no longer payed. Currently with no enforcement the result is that the miner can choose to pay a 12.1 masternode or keep all the reward to himself. So since we have 100% pools on 12.1 that is why 12.1 masternodes are only getting paid? And being paid in random since enforcement is off?

I agree I spent time and effort, even at night, to stay on pace. Changing the enforcement would have been on its own a sufficient reason to have my nodes update after a payment, and not on monday (mostly) cause i was sure that if a payment was less than 3 days distant it was possible that i was nonetheless missing it, with a bit of bad luck. So this costed me money, instead of being prized cause i was doing my best for Dash. Also, i was confident that if the official communication said "we are enforcing on Sunday" it was... official. I also totally agree that stability and all it's important; next time i'd re-evaluate the way communications are done, but there is a major downside: The "ghost" of enforcement was, I think, one of the reason for the very fast upgrade. Next time, people will just say "meh" and wait till it's mandatory, making the whole transaction way slower. Think about it. I am "not in charge", barring the votes i have but i'd still enforce ASAP I'm with you on this one. I sacrificed some important time of mine to get this upgrade completed before what I thought was the official enforcement date. Maybe we should use a budget proposal to let the masternode owners decide when to make the enforcement. I would suspect that the majority would vote to do it now since we've already invested our precious time doing the upgrade. The network does not exist in a vacuum, this is a hard fork. Miners and masternodes updating is the first and most important step. But once we officially hard fork partners and merchants on the previous version would break if not updated. We have an ongoing campaign contacting partners and services and are close to being ready but we will measure twice and cut once in this situation. If there is no deadline then there is never an incentive to make the change over. Everyone is busy and it could take months to get everyone on-board 12.1 if you let them decide when it needs done. Those look like checksums and are better than nothing but doesn't prove they came from you. A verified checksum only proves I have downloaded a complete file. A PGP signature would be a way to prove they came from you because of the PGP web of trust concept. It was only a suggestion as it takes security to the next level. Several of the major players in the digital currency space do this. You could only sign those checksums if that is easier. That works too. Thanks.

My Google Chrome is not automatically updating the Waves Lite App extension to 0.4.6.3, and I can't find a way to manually do so. Is it ok if I remove the extension and reinstall it? What do I need to recover my wallet then?
I just checked the Developer mode checkbox in URL chrome://extensions/ to show the "Update extensions now" button. That allows me to force the update of the Chrome app.

My S9 is not more noisy than an S3 at the moment. Plus heat output is great as it saves on heating at this time of year.
You're saying the S9 is about the same noise level as an S3?? Or your under-clocked S9 is similar to S3?

Got an email from Bitmain. New batch of R4 will be available on the 2nd December 11pm Beijing Time.
Don't tease us!! Thanks for the heads up.

Don't discount the looks. I'm sure focus is on functionality first. We're all hoping cross platform but I wouldn't hold my breath on IOS because Apple may not approve.

Seeing a new exchange add WAVES is a confidence boost. Adding additional exchanges has to be a priority. We need to continue to grow the overall WAVES trading volume. When Incent starts dumping their ICO WAVES into the market we could see the price depressed as a result if there isn't enough volume to absorb. Thoughts?
Don't think so... I doubt they'll dump the waves collected. incent ICO waves collected are going to be staked and the devs are going to LPoS mine. That's my understanding based on what I've read in the incent thread. Yes, this is correct. They have gone on record that this is their plan. We shouldn't have to worry about any kind of dump from them. This is good news. I had some concerns about it since I thought I saw somewhere they raised around 10% of all WAVES (if my memory serves me correctly). Thanks. You need to change your brain or stop to smoke pot, they raised less than 1% stop spreading FUD and bad information. Yep, sorry. Total WAVES supply is 100,000,000 and Incent raised so far 1,149,629. That's a little over 1%. I should have fact checked instead of going off memory. First time accused of spreading FUD.

touzibi is chinese ? is it serious ? looks legit... explains the recent surge in price. Looks like it was added on 11/26. what was added on 11/26? touzibi listed waves back in july https://twitter.com/wavesplatform/status/747688955768877061there are probably over 100 exchanges, many chinese and so on. I don understand what are they waiting now the the FN is out..don't they want money? It just is weird, isn't it? The charts on touzibi.com look to only go back to 11/26. That's what make me assume that. Also about the same time we started seeing price increasing.
