581  Economy / Economics / Re: Friends reactions to crypto currencies? on: December 02, 2018, 08:36:18 AM
I was questioned on crypto currencies legalization. I explained the facts happening around. Few received it with convincing reactions and few just ignored it. I really felt bad for the guys who did not care about crypto currencies as I really know the fruitfulness? I happily taught few others about crypto currencies. What was your friends expression when you introduced bitcoin to them?

Most of my friends also laughed at the returns I told people are getting from crypto. It is hard to convince people about new technologies like crypto and it also has to do with some of self interest.

That is why after a certain point, I stop stressing about the importance and possibilities of coins like bitcoin.
582  Economy / Economics / Re: Who is really hopeful about the future of Bitcoin and why? on: December 02, 2018, 08:34:45 AM
I am hopeful about bitcoin growth because:

1) It has performed consistently well if we keep this year aside. This will also recover.

2) Bitcoin solves a lot of problems that the current financial instruments are not able to handle.

3) Many governments have also legalised crypto which will boost its growth.
583  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency or Stock Market? on: December 02, 2018, 08:31:04 AM
in my opinion all investment tools have their own risks and advantages. investment in crypto has a big risk because of its fluctuating value but it can also provide quick benefits. when we buy the right coin and then the price of the coin rises. but crypto can also make us go bankrupt overnight if the value of the coins we buy falls. so do research before investing. and investment in the stock market is also profitable because the value of shares always increases every year. Even though the increase in value is not as fast as the crypt market. there is no harm in investing in both the stock market and crypto.

Someone with a  lot of money can only invest in both. Anyone investing in stock market must have realised that it involves a lot of analysis. Also, if we compare the number of coins with the number of stocks available, there is less options to check in case of crypto.

You are however correct that crypto can be more rewarding because of the risks it comes with.

584  Economy / Economics / Re: Let's suppose that Bitcoin became universal (used everywhere you go) on: December 02, 2018, 08:29:19 AM
I am confused after reading your post. From what I can intercept, you are saying that use of crypto will completely eliminate the taxes. But I believe that if we have global acceptance of crypto, it will bring more transparency in tax system.

Also, how can you assume that a country will legalise crypto without judging or analysing the merits and demerits in relation to taxation part.
585  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are you long on, and why? on: December 02, 2018, 08:26:58 AM
I am holding none of these 2 coins and have exited most of the alt coins. Most of the alt coins that I purchased also belonged to the top 10 category based on the coinmarketcap.

It is true that one can make a fortune by posting a good coin from new entrants but it is too much risk for me and thus I avoided it.
586  Economy / Economics / Re: Would a global disaster increase or decrease the Bitcoin value ? on: December 02, 2018, 08:20:50 AM
I think that a global disaster will bring decrease in the price of crypto because of following reasons:

1) In case of a global disaster we might see businesses and jobs being affected indirectly. At such, spending capacity of the people will reduce as well.

2) Another reason may be that people will get busy securing their basic needs and will thus avoid investing in things like crypto.
587  Economy / Economics / Re: why bitcoin price fall down? on: December 02, 2018, 08:18:48 AM
what do you think about it? my prediction is bitcoin price will be back to $1000/btc in next 5 months or less. since oil price was fall down now and trade war between US and china. give your opinion pls

It is not going yo go to $1000 in next 5 months. In next 5 months, you will see it again going to $20000 or so. The current time is bad because of a number of factors like existence of so many coins. With time passing by and so much of competition , useless coins will get wiped out on their own.
588  Economy / Economics / Re: Financial Crisis Will Come on: December 02, 2018, 08:17:30 AM
I do not think that we are going to see any financial crisis coming in near future.

Even the recession that happened few years before had completely left now and we are now left with stronger economies with good opportunities for all. The trend for startups is also on the rise for young people and I expect it to grow with time.
589  Economy / Economics / Re: Apart from trading where else to use crypto? on: December 02, 2018, 08:15:55 AM
You can use it for buying specific services where the seller allows it as the only acceptable option. For instance, I recently purchased some social media related services and the seller asked payment in crypto. I went ahead with advance payment and the deal went smooth.

Other possibilities are government using crypto for subsidy payments and other such schemes.
590  Economy / Economics / Re: Why most bitcoin users from good economies countries? on: December 02, 2018, 08:14:04 AM
This is because of following reasons:

1) People from good economic countries have good amount of money to spend. That is why they are able to buy and hold good amount of bitcoins or other coins.

2) It also has to do with the awareness level of people. People in these countries are more aware and thus invest in this new technology.
591  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi Nakamoto P2P new post on: November 30, 2018, 12:15:13 PM
Why would he decide to post ''nour''
Maybe he gives some clues who he is?

Nur (also spelled Noor, Nor, or Nour, Arabic: نور‎: Nūr IPA: [nuːr]) is a common Arabic unisex name meaning light. An-Nur, meaning "the light" in Arabic.

That is a lot of examination. I do not think that this post has any such meaning and is probably a case of hacked account only.
592  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Money Laundering started with banks not bitcoins. on: November 30, 2018, 12:05:23 PM
It is true that allegations against bitcoins must have affected the growth of crypto but it would not long last as the allegations are false. If these allegations had any weight, then the effect would be lasting and it would have been concerning for the investors.

I still believe that banks and bitcoin can exist and grow together.
593  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Its Bitcoin a good way to save money for our kids? on: November 30, 2018, 12:03:33 PM
If someone is investing in bitcoins with a  horizon of 20-30 years, he would be making a fortune for sure. At such, investing in bitcoins for kids is a good option in my opinion.

Most of the current investors are worried about the recent prices where bitcoin is not rising with good pace. But the current trend is only temporary in my opinion and market should recover soon.
594  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: November 25, 2018, 09:01:27 AM
what if others will only buy/ sell merit even though their post is garbage? they should be ban

That is already being done to members abusing the merit system. You should focus on own post quality and thus adding value to the forum. If you have some additional time left, you can also report the misuse of merits if you notice it.
595  Other / Meta / Re: Account banned.Help on: November 25, 2018, 08:58:38 AM
You forgot to mention the source and did it repetitively. That is the reason of the ban. Also, remember that as per rules, you are not allowed to create a new account here once you are banned for breaking a forum policy.
596  Other / Meta / Re: Best Crypto Forum on: November 25, 2018, 08:57:17 AM
I have not used any forum other than bitcointalk for crypto related queries. I am sure that it ranks for almost all the leading keywords being searched by new users as well and thus they also land up here only.

Sometimes, when I am bored and want to take a break from serious discussions, I head over to Reddit which is full of funny responses.
597  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins hold to moon 1 year? on: November 23, 2018, 01:42:50 PM
I think these Altcoins you can hold in a year are ETH, XRP, TRX, ETC, NEO, XMR, WAVES. These Altcoins are always development better than other Altcoins.

Stellar (XLM) can also be a good pick in my opinion.

If you want to make quick and reliable international payments, XLM is the solution for you! Unlike Ripple, the main accent here is on individuals, not large institutions. You can make quick transactions with a very minimal fee (5% per transaction) and by using a dApp directly on their blockchain. Moreover, Stellar has partnerships with many large companies and it’s definitely one of the safest altcoins to invest in right now.  If you’re a sole individual and you don’t have a huge business running, you should certainly give XLM a try.
598  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stable coins with stady growth? on: November 23, 2018, 01:41:56 PM
I will suggest you to go for coins like Zcash. Many people want their transactions to be private and they won’t want to expose themselves publicly. If you’ve found yourself in these lines, we can say that ZEC is the best altcoin to invest in. With a dedicated team of developers and constant technical improvements, Zcash does a pretty good job of keeping ZEC relevant.  As its popularity will undoubtedly increase in the future, ZEC is one of the safest altcoins that you can invest in right now.
599  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your best investment in 2018 on: November 23, 2018, 01:40:25 PM
Ripple  gave me good benefits and has a number of advantages over other coins. Ripple provides global financial settlement services for all banks that offer direct transactions as well as transactions across national borders. As a result, XRP is an ideal altcoin for large corporations and that’s the main focus of Ripple as a company. However, even individual investors can rip off the benefits if they know what they want. In any case, you won’t make a mistake if you choose XRP as your altcoin.
600  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How safe is it to put everything in one cryptocurrency? on: November 23, 2018, 01:39:30 PM
I've been thinking a lot about this issue. I heard more than once that many are discussing this topic. Is it safe to invest everything in one, two cryptocurrencies? Or to distribute all the money in all the coins available for this amount?

I think it depend on the coin you are investing. For instance, coins like Ripple are safe to invest in.

XRP is yet another powerful option that many people are not aware of. According to the official data, it’s the third biggest cryptocurrency right after Bitcoin and Ethereum so, as you can expect, it’s a pretty good solution.
