341  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: wallet on: February 16, 2018, 03:12:34 AM
It depends on a lot of factors but here's something to get you started:

--Paper wallet or other cold storage: very secure and will allow to keep a backup of your private key

--Ledger or Trezor: cold storage methods greatly reduce cybersecurity risks

Hope these help!
342  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What Is The Best Btc Wallet? on: February 16, 2018, 03:06:24 AM
Since you're specifically looking for a hardware wallet, try Ledger Nano, it’s as secure and private a bitcoin wallet as you can get. Another option is the Tenor; it might lack some of the modern features of the Ledger Nano, but it’s still much more secure than almost any other wallet out there.
Otherwise, I'd suggest a paper wallet for a more inconspicuous way to store your BTC.

Hope this helps  Smiley

344  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Altcoin & Token - What's diffferent ? on: February 16, 2018, 02:57:08 AM
Coins are separate currencies with their own separate blockchain whereas Tokens operate on top of a blockchain and are created and distributed to the through ICO's.
345  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to Mine Litecoin and other Altcoins? on: February 16, 2018, 02:32:01 AM
It's possible to use just your computer's CPU to mine some of the digital currencies, even if you have only a laptop with integrated graphics. If you're a beginner, and thinking of going it alone, it's more complicated than with a pool. This option also creates a steadier stream of income, even if each payment is modest compared to the full block reward. Hope this helps  Smiley Good luck!
346  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bounty campaigns on: February 11, 2018, 08:49:34 AM
Bounties are essentially reward mechanisms offered to people by companies..you do certain tasks and are rewarded in exchange. The tasks are never too complicated, just tasks that are necessary for the success of the coin the developers created. Examples would be promoting the new coin on twitter, or designing a logo for that coin. Something anyone can do in their spare time. Hope this helps  Smiley
347  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What are the best Bitcoin faucets in 2018? on: February 11, 2018, 08:37:38 AM
Despite the negative rep that faucets have, there are some reputable bitcoin faucets that have been in the market for a long time and have a large user base. Robot Coin and Bitcoin Alien are pretty entertaining games to play to acquire some BTC. You can also try Bonus Bitcoin which doesn't have a limit to how much time you can spend earning, or bitcoinker that pays out higher amounts the longer you're on the site.

Enjoy!

349  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is now a good time to buy some BTC? on: February 09, 2018, 08:14:47 PM
What makes an investment worthwhile depends on the expectation of capital appreciation and future cash flow, which BTC can’t promise you. It doesn’t have the key components that make traditional equity and fixed income investments, so if you want guaranteed, long term growth, BTC might not be for you. Otherwise it has a lot of opportunity. Keep up with the markets through coinmarketcap which I’m sure you’ve heard of. I’ll post the link below:

Some simpler things you could are these:

Make sure your browser plug-ins are up to date. Just like an old browser, an outdated plug-in leaves your browser and your computer vulnerable.

Set up a decent firewall. Windows and Mac have these built in, but they’re not perfect. A port test service like PortTest scans your firewall to make sure your computer is invisible.

When you delete files, get a program like Recuva that recovers old files and see if it can find them.

Hope this helps get you started!

These ICOs are showing significant promise for 2018:

1) Cypherium: permissionless and highly scalable. The company’s team is made up of former staff of Google, Amazon, and Microsoft. This company has been making headlines!

2) Experty, a voice and video-calling application, is seeking to alleviate the talent crisis that exists within the blockchain community.

3) RightMesh, which aims to connect people around the world, has developed a platform that can help identify nodes (devices) around the world with Ethereum accounts and then allow them to link to each other.

355  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to invest in ETH? on: February 06, 2018, 12:29:29 AM
People will tell you that you can start trading with a small amount and it will not get you any profit, but they are wrong. Trading with low amount of money eliminates the fear of making decisions so that when you lose you won’t regret it and it is a great way to earn more and to develop your own strategy and get experience.

Here's an article I read about a few ways to invest with a smaller capital:

356  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Venture capital on: February 06, 2018, 12:20:24 AM
Venture capital is financing that investors provide to startup companies and small businesses that could have long-term growth potential. So although it's risky, it has a good payoff.

I would suggest Ledger Nano S or Trezor for a hardware wallet. This link might be able to help set you up with one of them:

358  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoins stolen - What can I do? on: February 04, 2018, 05:52:41 PM
That's unfortunate, I'm sorry. I was reading into it and found this article:

https://bravenewcoin.com/news/csi-crypto-can-victims-recover-stolen-coin/

It talks about the future of crypto crimes and what steps are being taken for these types of thefts.

Hope everything works out for you.
359  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are masternodes worth the trouble? on: February 04, 2018, 05:48:22 PM
It depends, but generally, masternode payouts are more consistent (there are fewer, and used more frequently, so higher odds of receiving a payout.
