This recipee could be a thing of the past. Nowdays it may be better to look for opportunities as lots of talent is going into the market. Do you still think of becoming a millionaire by hodling?
In this world, HODLING can make profit due to volatility which we all know, but it will still depends on what currency you want to hold. We can only become a millionaire by holding if we waited years for that coin to grow. But dude, don't just hold, as you said it is better to look for opportunities because in this world so much opportunity exist and you only need to discover it and jump in. In holding, you are like waiting for luck which is not a good manner of a successful person. So, finding your own luck is the key to become a millionaire and not waiting for your luck to come. You hit the spot on this one. If you want to make a decent ammount, not even to be really rich, is no longer a question of just keeping a coin or set of coins for a few years. I dare to say that bitcoin has reached its maximun for a few months.

Thanks for the list, but there you can post links? The best way to collect links to open chats? Maybe a common hashtag? Or is there telegrambot? I would be interested too in a Telegram bot. I know Telegram has an API published and I would be surprised if there were no bots. In fact, if there are no bots I may develop one

You can get idea from their Whitepaper, their Roadmap, hoow is team and search on google . .
Well surely you need to read all that, but still there are many unknows in the ICO world. I think that above all you need to look carefully the team and their past. Some teams out there are great while others should not even be able to drive a car.

Yes, i have some altcoins that i get from bounty but until now thier price is low thats why i keep on holding them until they reach the price that i want before i sell them ,which will make me millionaire on that day that i sell all of them. I guess is also about choosing the right bounty, which is in fact an investment of your time and in some way your reputation. Right choice = more benefit.

What are the best investment opetions for bitcoins to be put into? Please post here!
I am now looking into GoNetwork, Insurepal and a few other. ... I would avoid metronome and maybe PUNDI-X if you plan to HODL long time, but nowdays you can make short term gains with anything that has enough hype I would say.

I just saw this on my twitter feed.. and I think this should be one of the best answer for this question: @robertreidmd: "Bitcoin has "crashed" 30% SIX TIMES in 2017. Each "crash" has been followed by an increase of: 76%, 237%, 183%, 165%, 152%. Bitcoin takes 7 steps forward, 2 steps back, 7 steps forward, 2 steps back. Every 2 steps back is heralded as the end of #bitcoin. Relax!" Many experts suggest HODLing BTC or crypto for the long term is a smart move! Don't panic.. Just HODL! Out there I have seen several coins doing x10 when bitcoin did x1. Everyone is very happy that bitcoin rises, lets say 50% but that may actually be not that much if you compare.

It's awful.Although I try to take security measures, but actually I realized that I know little about such things. Don't even know what to do now. All my tokens I recently transferred to ED and now no access to them nor to exchange. My wallet was synced to exchange(((
I read that, if you have a copy of your ED private keys stored somewhere it is likely that you will be able to access your funds without actually having to go into the exchange itself. It is a real pain, but possibly the safest way.

You should have a proper way to allocate capital. You should divide your capital into 3 parts, including: short, medium and long term. You should list 20% for long term (ICO), 30% for medium term and 50% for short term. You need to invest a lot for the short term because you can trade daily with that capital so you need more money to have a good psychology when trading. For medium and long term investments, you will need less capital because the capital will be held for a long time until you can make a profit.
That kind of makes sense to me. I would say that I would not put more than 10% long term, because this market is too unstable for that, so for me it would be something like 10, 30, 60. I would need now to decide which to chose for the 10 and 30

There are some warning out there in the groups saying that ED has been compromised. Any info?
Oh well... perhaps it is time to look into a new business opportunity: insurance for crypto exchanges. But that is kind of the Bitcoin futures... Any volunteers to short? he he.... Anyway, today I am sad because the market is down 25%, surely due to the ED hack LOL

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What are your biggest concerns regarding Cryptocurrencies?

I want to write an article about this and I've been asking around.
So far, I've found:
* Fraud and scammers * Government taking over * Scalability and governance
How about you guys?
- 1st is lack of accountability by some (not all) ICO promoters. They just play with the investors money in ways that would get them to jail in any other situation. - 2nd is cybersecurity. Everyday we wake up to know that an exchange or a service has been hacked. - 3rd one is market manipulation. Pump and dumps and organised manipulation.

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Why do some ICO promoters feel like they do not have to be fair with investors?
|
on: December 22, 2017, 10:07:20 AM
|
I have now participated in a few ICOs. For the moment, I am glad I took part in Quantstamp, very organised, no rush, decent profit, ... excellent
And in all the rest... well, either you had to be quick on the keyboard and have a fast node (Gifto), there were technical problems (Bread), tokens were released before the end of the ICO (Ripio) and lately, the WAX token which has been the worst by far: The team decided to build a new blockchain, change the number of tokens and released tokens to some investors before other without locking them.
Some people say this is crypto, and what I say is that this behaviours and lack of compromise with the people that are trusting you and giving their money is going to kill the ICO business.
FOR INVESTORS - Track the teams, track the ICO managers, make sure that your money only goes to those that have a record of keeping their word. We have to defend ourselves. Please, care about your money because they don't.

I hate to tell this but to balance your portfolio I would add some Bitcoin Cash. It should work good cause it seems often going against BTC in price movement
That sound like a sensible option. I thought of it but it seems that BCH moves too much to my liking, high volatility and all that. I am accepting volatility if if could eventually go x10, but I think is not the case?

Which Altcoin is next to Bitcoin and is being accepted worldwide?
The obviuos answer is Ethereum, however bitcoin has many trading pairs at the moment. I would say that Litecoin is also a contender in terms of having plenty of direct pairs.
