Thanks for the reply, you're probably right just need to find someone i can trust to give suitable advice and not try and upsell me on something that i wont need, i mean my house has 240v anyway so they can suggest that to me but anything else they say i might need i wouldn't know if they are genuinely offering it as something i need or just an extra way to get more money from me.

Actually now you mention it the washing machine will be in the same room as the miner, so obviously they'll be on the same circuit i guess, the washer wont be on 24/7 of course but when we have it running would that be a problem you think? Its the coolest room in the house and the best place to avoid the noise etc thats why it will be in there.

Do you have any reccommendations for places to host my miner if i decide to do that? How does it work, surely they take quite a hefty fee from you?

I am a complete noob when it comes to this and what gear i should have for my electricity setup. I have an A3 on the way and will be my first time mining so just need some advice on the electricity setup etc. I am living in the EU and my house has 250v setup i think, i will post pictures of the breaker and electricity box for reference. I am just wondering firstly what PSU should i purchase? I think the APW3++ should be ok from what research i have done but maybe there are cheaper/ better options i don't know. I am also looking at getting a PDU and wondering what specifications i should be looking for with that, i am on a budget so the cheaper the better of course but ultimately i want to make sure that when i am mining it is safe i.e i don't overload the circuit and have an extra fire risk.

The specs of the miner are like this...

– DC current input @12V DC: 98.8 A +7%
– DC Power @12V DC input: 1186 W +7%
– 220VAC Power @25℃, 93% conversion efficiency of APW3: 1275 W + 7%

Am i right in thinking that the way to calculate amperage is by dividing the miner wattage around 1300w by the circuit volatge 250v so around 5.9amps for the miner? Also i think that in my house all the sockets in the downstairs part of the house are on the same circuit so thats quite a few devices etc, how do you know how much each circuit can handle?

As i said i will attach pictures to help anyone that understands electrics see how my setup is, all in all i am just a little confused with amps and how much a circuit particular circuit can handle. Any advice on how to understand and what psu/ pdu would be suitable for me would be greatly appreciated cheers guys!

P.S on a side note i live in a very hot country in the main part of summer July/Aug the temps regularly exceed 40+ celsius whats the best way to keep the miner cool? Or is it almost impossible at those temps?

Like somebody else said we buy bitcoin with our paper money and then sell it back to get more paper money, so no this wouldn't make sense, also then the controls and authenticity of it would be much harder to follow as there would be no algorithm preventing more being printed, also the name itself is BitCoin not BitPaper so no i definitely do not see that happening there is no reason why somebody cant just print their own replica though i guess

Destroyed in what sense? Some people have already said that if or when governments 'ban' cryptocurrencies then bitcoin will die but in reality is it even possible to ban bitcoin. The fact that is it decentralised and controlled by nobody surely protects it from this. Banks for sure could ban clients using their cards to buy bitcoin but in the long run i dont see this lasting as it just takes one bank to accept its clients to buy bitcoin to change the ideas of the others as this bank would surely become very succesful and profitable!

Yes i agree with that one it is best if we do not spam the vote as it could risk our position as it already is i think we are doing quite well. I don't the rules etc and how well they are enforced for this competition but i would hate to see us lose out when we are already so high in the rankings over there!

The current airdrop rules are quite basic. Simply you just need to hold a minimum of 50 onions in your wallet for the airdrop that happens every friday. You also need to be at least a jr. mem on here of which you are, post 2-3times on here a week cant remember exact number and at least once on deeponion forum, so all in all quite simple and since you are more than a jr/ member here i would recommend going for it if you can as you will qualify straight away!

It ultimately depends on what sort of regulation they are looking to implement i mean if they say that all european banks cannot allow there users to buy cryptos with credit or debit card then for sure all the prices will drop but that will never happen right now the worst thing i can see in the near future is some form of taxation towards cryptos and i don't think this will impact prices too much so i wouldn't worry that much for now

It is weird as for some they have had many problems with delays on cryptopia lately and maybe others have seen it work just fine, i am not sure why there is this discrepancy in the service, recently i had a problem with withdrawing some ZCL from there, it took very long because Cryptopia wouldnt update there wallet and the worst thing is they know there are issues but are very slow at fixing them or don't even bother!

The higher prices i mean btw, i mean there was some sold recently for around $9 i am not sure who sold theres for 1 sat but i am guessing it must have been some kind of mistake. I think in a day that exchange roughly has only $100 in trading volume for onion at least and not much higher for many other coins, i am surprised it is still going to be honest

Hahaha nice prices, i am pretty sure they are mine, i remember trying that exchange out a long time ago and saw that the prices were a lot higher there because of the volume so i put some for sale at very high prices in comparison to see how it would go in the attempt to buy back much more later for less and apparently i now sold all my onions on that exchange, ok it wasnt many only 10 but for much higher price than market average!

Do you think we will see the same rate of growth as we did before? i.e when the market cap was ATH onion was at 17-18 or even $19 do you think we will see that same price relative to overall market cap or do you think we will have an even higher price, curious to know other peoples realistic expectations. Please dont say 1000 or something even though we all want that to happen its just to far off!

Nice to see many other people also agree with my opinion on KuCoin and Cryptopia hopefully we can promote our existence on that exchange a little more instead i am sure it will benefit us in the long run.... very prepared for tomorrows bomb of onions by the way, it must be a new all time high number of wallets again, i am sure we will have 1000 members participating now!

Exactly larger volume and more well respected i believe, i also find that there withdrawals and deposits for all coins including DeepOnion is much quicker than Cryptopia, they seem to add the latest coins helping to add more volume to the exchange whereas Cryptopia is becoming somewhat outdated and has listings for some questionable coins to say the least, i think KuCoin looks much better to be associated with!

Guys all this banning is manipulation on price for certain people to gain more holdings in their favourite or the most profitable coins! Anyway even having said that, for the regular investor like you and me the bans will definitely affect us, so i think privacy coins will be the go to solutions for the future especially coins like DeepOnion and Cloak Coin, DeepOnion allows users even in China to access their wallets, with TOR updates and OBSF4 protecting them from blocks!

Like others have said this is the year of the privacy coins! We are still yet to see a real breakout from privacy coins yet but im sure that its not far off! Look at the main ones like Monero and ZCash of course but also look at Cloak Coin and DeepOnion! In terms of non privacy coins i would reccommend looking at ones like UTrust or arcblocks when it hits the exchanges!

Thread creator please remove cryptopia from the thread title and change it to KuCoin or at least add KuCoin to the title instead! Such a better exchange which seems to value its users much more, currently Cryptopia is messing up peoples ZCL for no reason because they are to lazy to connect to the nodes, very poor exchange would rather not be associated with it!

Wow some people here are very optimistic pricewise and looking at what this coin can offer with the dev work on future updates etc and the super strong community i can see some of the price predictions really aren't that far off from being realised in the future! If the whole market goes over 1 trillion then who is to say that deeponion cant get up to $50 at least by then!

You can definitely see it like that yes, basically first comer advantage has been very favourable to those coins, ok they both have great features too and look promising in the long run as well but in terms of privacy features and privacy features being developed i dont see them matching the ambitious developments that deeponion is aiming to implement!
