261  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Management on: February 05, 2024, 05:01:58 PM
I often run out of funds due to gambling that is too blind in terms of placing $$ on every bet I make and ends up losing. I do multi-bets and single-bets, every time I win, sometimes I forget myself and use all my $$ on the next bet. This sometimes gives me big wins, but if I'm unlucky I can lose all my funds and this has happened many times.

I started to realize and change my habits. Now I use $$ from the profits from the previous bet to place the next bet and save my initial capital.

What do you think, is this good and can help me overcome losses that will occur so that $$ remains safe and can be used in future betting? Are there other unique ways that you can use to grow your money in gambling? feel free to comment. Thanks

This isn't a great strategy and all you need is one losing bet to lose the rewards you made and in gambling it's more often comes than winning so I suggest not to follow this strategy at all.

If you feel you are exhausting your balance then what you need to do is to decrease your bet amount and I would say keep it as low as possible to have logetivity in your bets that can satisfy your gambling urge as well as higher the betting number then more longer you can feel win than one bet strategy.
262  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your state on mind if your son stole your money to gamble? on: February 04, 2024, 06:03:28 PM
If I am considering the parent at this situation then I have no concerns regarding my son involved in gambling as long as he is adult but I am not going to fund him for his entertainment, he needs to make money then only he knows the importance of money and how to spend then responsibly. I see this son could be a minor so giving a warning probably make things better, pushing them too hard and humiliating in front of others will make it worse.
263  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Am I actually doing it right? on: February 04, 2024, 05:18:31 PM
You just started and your primary intention is to learn not earn via forum.

I would say, you just made 94 posts prior this one and got 6 merit but already tired of it then you are doing it for wrong intentions.

Merits will be awarded quality posts but another fact is not every post created on bitcointalk has merits. You maybe posting in wrong boards or you still in the learning phase to educate someone else.
264  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Investment in gambling on: February 04, 2024, 04:07:57 PM
So you're publicly admitting that you exploited an investment scheme in a casino and made money still you have balance left to withdraw?

I wonder which casino has such poor security system because every casino that is supposed to be reputed will have good security system that won't allow more than one account per user if there is some kind of bonus, rewards, etc. I advise you to read their ToS and don't violate anything and better not to invest any penny into the platform anymore.
265  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Please I need guid to set-up Electron wallet on: February 04, 2024, 03:05:43 PM
Check if your packet data is also switched on, if they're both on, that explains why you're having network challenges because you cannot use both of them at the same time. So switch off one and use the other.

There is no such thing, when the device is connected to wifi, the data packets will be downloaded and uploaded via that network unless it's a recent model that supports simultaneous connections to both networks so even if there is a network issue on wifi the mobile network will work.

OP, just check you can connect to the internet by opening a browser and try searching for something.

No one from bitvest has contacted me and I don't recall using any email address to sign up so I don't know how they would contact me to ask for KYC.  I tried creating a support ticket just now.

So, you just contacted the support despite your withdrawal pending for a week and I suggest you to wait for 48 to 72 hours from the moment you contacted their support and if you still haven't received any response then your are free to create a thread about this in scam accusation and see you will get response after that.

LL hasn't been active for a week now, so you may get a response what is going on if he comes online in the meantime.

My withdrawals have been stuck on "pending manual" for a week.  What's up?
would you mind giving more info about your issue?

Has their support said anything as to why the withdrawal has been pending for a week? As far as I know, this isn't the first time the gamblers on their gambling site have complained about their withdrawal being stuck, and if I remember correctly, the reason as to why their withdrawal was stuck was due to the gambling site's hot wallet being empty(or something similar to that).

The other possibility could be the respective account put on hold for verification which will be completed once the user submitted what the customer support ask them to do and this could be the possible reason for the pending withdrawal not the hot wallet being empty because no other user arise such issue and if the casino's hot wallet dried then every withdrawal request will go pending and this thread would turned into a crazy mess.
268  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What remarkable thing have you achieved with the money you won from gambling? on: February 03, 2024, 04:47:36 PM
I haven't won such huge money from gambling to share but I can tell what I consider remarkable doing with the money I won from gambling. One of my colleagues is into gambling all the time and once I got curious and wanted to bet too but after few days of try with small money like $5 or $10 a day I won decent money like $400 if my memory serves right and all I did is buying a music player for my room. Smiley

Well, I can say I spent the money irresponsibly but the story I share happened a way long back and the music player is one of my dreams to have so I got an opportunity and I took it.
269  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Social media is a breeding ground for scamers, be intelligent while you explore on: February 03, 2024, 02:59:31 PM
I would go further and say not just social media, the whole internet is filled with scams and if you see an article or blog that is praising a project particularly then it can be a paid ad just created to generate traffic and this is done by most preferred news platforms too in the crypto market. When you want to trust your money then you need to do it on your own which needs necessary knowledge which comes from doing the research on our own.
I agree that's simply the best way one can actually help their self because if you are to follow the rating and praises from any social media website on a particular project then you might probably just get yourself posted in a really tight corner that you might find it really difficult to come out from. An example of such places would be the ratings from trust pilot, I know for sure to an extent that most reviews and ratings on that site are all planned and rigged.

Trust ratings can be bought too and it can be written by real people but those feedbacks can be noticed and can be differentiated from the legit feedback because usually the bought feedback will be written in a word or two while the actual use may explain the experience of using it. But even though someone thinks it's legit it doesn't mean you have to trust them just as I said it is our responsibility to find them on our own.
270  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Know why the exchange wallet are not safe on: February 03, 2024, 10:19:02 AM
High transaction fee is the reason many people have resorted to using exchanges for storing their coins. Little do they know that the risk associated with this style is high as everything could just be lost. It is better to pay the high fees than to lose the entire assets.

A high fee is just an excuse given by the people when they can't accept the fact they are ignorant. The Bitcoin mempool is indeed congested but the clog is clear now compared to what we had in a couple of months back and paying a $3 fee is still worth the security of our assets.

Another fact is exchanges never let the users to withdraw by only paying a transaction fee, they always add top off and call it as withdrawal fee even when the fee is 1sat/vb the exchange used to charge $20 to $25 for a withdrawal but good thing is now many exchanges also supports LN withdrawal so it is far cheaper compared to withdrawal using on-chain transaction.
271  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Transferring bitcoins from a paper wallet to Electrum wallet for Android on: February 02, 2024, 05:58:26 PM
For sweeping you need to pay for transaction fee. Why I actually advise sweeping although it requires transaction fee which is external cost is because you never can tell where that private key from the paper wallet as been exposed to.
If you want to spend from a paper wallet and sure that the private key is not exposed online, you can import the private key into an airgapped device and use a watch-only wallet to spend some of the coins or all coins. In this way, the private key is not exposed.

This is what I am going to suggest too for OP.

If the private keys exposed then the chances of any funds left in the wallet/address is minimum so if there is any coins available the I consider my wallet is safe and I will keep as it is, by importing the wallet into airgapped device then broadcast the transaction using another device.

Edit:

I created another wallet and imported the private key, but the balance is 0.
What now?

Copy the address and paste it on any blockchain explorer to see the history of the address and if you see any transaction that swept your balance then your privkeys are exposed and some stole your funds and if you don't see any transaction then you never actually funded the address or you imported wrong address.

273  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you invest on this kind of offer? on: February 02, 2024, 03:37:18 PM
I will not be interested in this offer because I know how to make investments in the bankroll of a casino and also can analyze which casino I can trust and what can I expect from the investment. Only people who is having huge money may be interested if they don't have time to do these things so this may not bring more offers to you but what can be interesting is, you can offer the similar service and take the profit in commission basis and let them to invest on their own.
274  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: stop the unnecessary blame on gambling whenever you get unlucky on: February 01, 2024, 05:45:38 PM
On the other hand you have a pretty good approach to gambling by only putting small amounts into your involvement and I would probably say that you are one of the more responsible gamblers, you have also said that even if the results don't match it won't upset you and you will be fine. However, this approach is more advisable than being aggressive, because with a healthy approach like responsible gamblers, it will make you more calm in every situation especially if you lose at the end of the session.

This is what responsible gambling and it has been said over a million times from different members in different words but the concept is the same, you can decide what will happen in the future which makes gambling more unpredictable and amusing. Knowing our limits is very important thing in our limit that also applies to gambling and never chase loss because someone won while doing it.
275  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Viewpoint of a fan gambling on: February 01, 2024, 04:03:21 PM
I can and I will is my answer.

I don't remember any particular event when I did that but I know me, I am not going to let the emotions take over the common sense, if the result is so obvious that the team against your favorite club has the better chance of winning the game then I will simply go for it with no hesitation at all because you can be fan meanwhile you can think rationally too.
276  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: If Someone Sends Funds to a Previously-Used Address, Will I Still Receive it? on: February 01, 2024, 02:31:56 PM
Addresses never expire, and you will receive funds.

If you are talking about exchanges, then it depends on what exchange's policy because different exchanges have different policies, for example in Local bitcoin's wallet when I was using the funds would be received and credited to your balance only for 12 months from the date you received it's first transaction and any transaction made after will not be credited to your account whereas exchanges like Binance offers only one address that eliminates this confusion.

277  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Proverbs and Sayings that Act as Triggers to Gambling on: February 01, 2024, 02:12:47 PM
Speaking of Chinese, it is very common there among all ages to bet friendly on board games, there are a few particular games whose names I don't remember but they know what they are doing and it doesn't give an excuse to went rogue with their gambling activities.

I don't think sayings are much influencing as advertising but it can be too but I see it as an excuse from someone when they want to continue gambling.
278  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Android Electrum wallet BIP39 passphrase on: January 31, 2024, 09:19:57 PM
If you import BIP39 seed phrase on Electrum wallet, the wallet will not show the seed phrase. On Android Electrum, you can not also know the private key of any address.

Except clipboard malware that can be used even to steal on cold wallets. Is there any other malware that can be used to steal on the wallet?

You can not know the BIP39 seed phrase or any private key on Android Electrum.

I have been using Android Electrum for a very long but don't have experience importing BIP39 seeds on Android so if the information ir right then I learned something new.

Apart from clipboard hijacker still there could be plenty of ways you can lose funds from android electrum, let's say if your device is installed with malware then it can possibly have complete access to your device and execute any commands as long as it's connected to the internet, so never assume that if wallet. doesn't store the seeds or privkeys then your funds are completely safe.
279  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: stop the unnecessary blame on gambling whenever you get unlucky on: January 31, 2024, 07:47:45 PM
On the other hand, yes, you have explained the scenario that if we push too hard to win, it means that there will be a lot of trials and the lack of certainty in gambling will make us experience more losses than wins because it is impossible to get lucky. streak. Therefore, becoming a responsible gambler is more recommended. You can become a responsible gambler if you are basically able to understand the real concept of how gambling works.

Theoretically, on an average one can have fewer wins than their lose but it just depends on the luck factor of an individual but myself who is know what amount of luck I had when I attempt to change the fortune of life with something little, it just ended up as nothing and I am okay with it because I didn't expect it to happen, I just wish if it happen then I would be happy but even when it didn't I have nothing to lose cause I did what will be the most expected outcome.
280  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is merit necessary for my survival here on: January 31, 2024, 06:51:33 PM
Greetings everyone!

I really want to know if merit is necessary in other to secure my account, my friend who introduced this site to me said, I must have merit

Please how do I get this merit and how is it important.

Merit is necessary to rank up and if your friend said that you can make some BTC from this forum then yes merit is necessary for it to happen.

In general, you can keep posting as much as you want even if you have zero merit. But when you keep posting something that can be beneficial to someone else then it's hard to stay with zero merit as well.
