61  Economy / Gambling / Re: Duelbits.com | Casino & Sportsbook | VIP | Instant withdrawals!|ARGENTINA & AVFC on: April 08, 2024, 03:38:44 PM
Maybe this is the answer why duelbits has a different UI/UX between those accessed via the UK IP address with the co.uk domain and other IP addresses with the dot com domain.
Both are registered under different licenses, where co.uk is registered and regulated in United Kingdom by the Gambling Commission while dot com is licensed in Curacao

But of course, only Duelbits can answer exactly why they have a different UI/UX, and if we look at it from the outside, the promotions of the two are also different
Duelbits is duelbits after all, isn't it so? You see different licenses in both images because I assume, Duelbits can't operate with Curacao license in the UK and they need a special, UK license to provide their service to UK customers. It's all due to gambling regulations.

I noticed an interesting thing. On duelbits.co.uk you can't play with cryptocurrencies, your only option is fiat. They accept Visa, Mastercard, Skrill and Neteller on UK website. Do they have a different team hired in the UK for Duelbits UK casino? I don't know, maybe but wouldn't that increase the cost of maintaining a service? @duelbits please give us an explanation, this is really very interesting discovery Cheesy At least for me.

Different interface just to bring the difference between the original site where crypto currency is used as payment method and also resemblance in the sites may trigger UK government to go after the site and end up forcing the changes.

And whoever is playing with different IP please be make sure that it's not via free VPN because it out our account in danger for verification. Cheesy

~
In general, we must always be wary and suspicious of any information that wants to give us a chance to make money. If they really have such insider information, then they will not just spread it around; they are only pursuing their own interests in making money or for other purposes. I never listen to what they say in such topics. I can only afford to read a few articles on popular sports sites to better understand the situation and make the upcoming match a little more interesting for me. And making money from this constantly is a fairy tale story for those who believe in miracles and that money will fall on their heads. It's time for them to finally open their eyes and not engage in this nonsense.

It's better to say most of the information about the prediction is just a wild shot from the influencers with the hope of becoming real and getting know about the insider information of every match isn't possible for God's sake. Making money isn't easy but making money in the short cut needs luck than we usually have to win a game so better focus on the predicting on our own and stick with the basic principle of don't bet more than you can afford to lose.
63  Economy / Economics / Re: considering the advantage of Fiats over Cryptocurrencies on: April 07, 2024, 04:56:42 PM
I still use fiat to make my every payment on my day to day basis because crypto isn't accepted yet despite being legal in my country that is the only advantage I can think of.

But from a broader perspective, the fiat is a trap that keeps us poor in the name of inflation which has no escape since governments are printing the paper money non-stop and it keeps losing its value in the range that we overlook unless we give deep attention to it.
64  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it right to advice other people against gambling for personal reasons like?? on: April 07, 2024, 04:42:10 PM
There is nothing wrong with sharing their bad experience on something and guiding how to approach it consideratively even advising them to quit because they had wrong turning point in their life due to this is okay but who is going to be convinced from the advises?

We tend to ignore such things until we experience them on our own. Wink

I never encouraged anyone to gamble as well as not forced to quit them, we are adults we should know the consequences of any actions that we practice.
65  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The madness of gambling addicts. on: April 07, 2024, 03:06:38 PM
What this grandfather was hoping for by gambling is not quite clear to me. Probably he wanted to make a big score and immediately die from an overabundance of dopamine.

The idea of a ransom for his granddaughter seems absurd to me. I think this grandfather needs to be treated.

It maybe due to his children is not supporting in any way financially even they they are capable of and the Granpa attempted to milk some money with his intelligence. Cheesy

As we grow older we should have plans how we are going to manage the expenses when we can't make money anymore unfortunately some failed to plan that but have desire of lavish spending chose the wrong way.
66  Other / Off-topic / Re: How you can benefits from your loss ? on: April 07, 2024, 05:17:05 AM
Dealing with the loss is pretty hard, and it can make us anxious and depressed but as long as the amount we lost doesn't bend us in any way then just accept and move on.

Generally, humans don't like to lose irrespective of the amount but losing is just a part of gambling so when we understand these things then all I can think of is becoming more responsible while making any decisions with my hard-earned money cause I have seen ups and downs that made me to be a person who am I today.

67  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you believe in gambling experts predictions? on: April 06, 2024, 07:03:13 PM
I rather predict on my own and accept it as my fate even if I lost the bet over trusting someone when it is logical that nobody can predict future outcomes still they somehow project themselves as experts in predicting the results mostly via social media influence.

There are people in the elite class who may have a piece of insider information about actual match-fixing but they are not going to reveal such information even for a few thousand dollars cause they know the value is probably in the millions. So whatever we see in the name of paid prediction experts is absolute crap.
68  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Where is the fun when you lose your money? on: April 06, 2024, 05:19:37 PM
The beauty of gambling especially casino games, you win and lose more often which keeps the bettor to keep betting and they will adjust their betting amount based on their results which decides whether they could leave with a bankroll or going to bust their balance. Nobody feels fun when they lose but on the other side, the hope of winning the next bet keeps us engaged.
69  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: why storing trust wallet in a hardware more recommendable than i mobile devices on: April 06, 2024, 04:00:03 PM
First of all, Newbies Stop Teaching When You Need To Learn.

I've been hearing about how trust wallet is a good recommendable Wallet for beginners but the wallet must be stored on a hardware storage such as the laptop and the desktop but shitty and risky of stores on the mobile devices such as phone.
What's really the difference in the storage system since it's the same wallet platform?

A wallet installed in a laptop or smartphone doesn't really make any big difference as long as it is connected to the internet. Moreover, the Trust wallet is a closed source which others already pointed out.

You can try Unstoppable wallet which is an open-sourced multi-crypto wallet that is way better than every multi-crypto wallet available at the moment.

70  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you consider yourself, the family and gambling? on: April 06, 2024, 02:18:41 PM

1. At what age will you allow your child to start gambling? that is if you will even allow for that at all?
2. At what age do you see yourself quit gambling? that is also if some of us are going to ever do so?
3. Ever since you have started gambling, have you ever achieve a satisfying level that makes you think it has good impact on you?
4. Would you have missed out on anything if you were not a gambler?

1. I can't resist the decisions even if they are my kids if they are making their own money and living under their own roof. Until that I am not going to encourage any unnecessary expenses.

2. Probably Never, You are bound to live your life to its fullest after retirement.

3. Nope.

4. I don't gamble every day and I am not making it a habit to spend money and time gambling, I do it only when I want too so it doesn't affect my life in any way.
71  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do not forget your Bitcointalk account password!!! on: April 06, 2024, 07:52:30 AM
This is a reminder to all,

don't have access to the password, should go and create a new emails address and change it with the old one,

First of all, thanks for the remainder, I checked whether I have access to the email that I used to register then I realized I flashed my device where that email logged in and I remember the password still can't able to log in for some reason so now I registered a fresh email that will serve that purpose you mentioned.

Still, there are other ways to recover in case if we lose access but it's time consuming procedure so I urge everyone to check whether you have access to the email that you have under your profile.
72  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Restoring wallet doesn't restore coins on: April 05, 2024, 07:22:32 PM
Hello all,

hoping you can help me. I've just installed Electrum again and at first it identified the wallet file in my computer and I was able to open it with the long password I had.
This opened without an error, but there was nothing in the wallet.

I then tried to see if the restore phrase was OK, and one of the things I was able to do was to verify that the wallet I opened had the same phrase. Regardless, I created a new wallet to restore with the passphrase, but not really surpringly, it also opened with no contents.

How can I find out what has happened and if I've lost the coins now?

Thank you for all your help!

First go to an explorer and paste the respective address to see if that address actually holds Ny balance in it.

Restoring wallet with seeds has to be precise and if you had used extended seed word then it must be included as well to restore the actual wallet, missing anything will results in a creation of new wallet with new set of addresses.
73  Other / Off-topic / Re: Gambling problems on different races on: April 05, 2024, 05:43:19 PM
Race is an irrelevant factor that contribute towards an addiction of any kind. You can see white become an addict, you can see black becomes an addict, you can see an Asian becomes an addict so my point is their individual decisions in their life makes them what they are, and their tradition in terms of financial status may contribute a little bit but it's negligible when we are talking about addiction not just gambling.
74  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Blackjack Situational Q&A on: April 05, 2024, 04:41:39 PM
My basic principle is minimizing the loss when it comes to risk so I choose to cash out early with a 20% loss instead of taking the risk and going for a complete bust even though after realizing that the dealer has the better probability of winning.

Usually, gamblers will go with their institutions and if I feel that it's my lucky day and others already cashed out then it increases the probability on my side then I go for it but most likely I will choose the safer option unless until I am feeling lucky.
75  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Bitget Wallet Reviews on: April 05, 2024, 03:49:23 PM
Bitget is actively promoting their products in all platforms but I find their approach is kind of shady, even in this forum they used newbie account to constantly shill their names instead of promoting in the right way so I don't find their products trustable.

Also I checked some actual reviews about their wallet and swap functions which is not good either so it's no way near unstoppable wallet in my opinion.

BITGET stole all my crypto! #bitgetscam exposed read my story, tell yours!

Avoid using Bitget Wallet's swap function (and maybe Bitget Wallet as a whole)
76  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: For beginners: Create a Bitcoin wallet securely and privately on: April 05, 2024, 01:22:05 PM
Not really for beginners because it's too complicated for them to understand cause they think exchange is the only safe place to store cryptos. I recommend them to start using Electrum as their first step towards securing their funds and once they accumulate decent chunk then they have to opt for an HW or Air gapped device where we can say it's most possible security for our funds is ensured.
77  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Is there any malware that captures your recovery seed when shown or typed? on: April 04, 2024, 06:58:30 PM
Exposing our private keys to malicious software like keyloggers and screen capture malware is a valid concern. Whenever I create a new wallet on my computer I will disconnect it from the internet so no data can be sent out in that moment. I will carefully write the mnemonic on a piece of paper instead of copying it to the clipboard and saving it to a text document. If you need to verify your seed phrase it is best to use the autocomplete feature if it is supported by your wallet instead of typing the entire words. Whatever precautions you take, there will always be a higher level of vulnerability when using a software wallet which stores your private keys on an internet connected device. You should keep a majority of your funds in a hardware wallet or another form of cold storage like an air-gapped device with Electrum.
Disconnecting your computer from the Internet does not solve the issue totally, some Trojans and spyware comes with service workers which collect data both offline and online and transmits the data back to the attacker's database when Internet connection is restored.

The best solution remains hardware wallets and air gapped devices. Then if you should import it to a normal device, its important you reinstall the operating system, and let the wallet be the first software to be installed after the OS reinstall. Anything that involves third party softwares and usage of browser before importing your seed phrases is a red flag for me.

Some Trojans can even remains after reinstalling OS because it's saved in the BIOS, so no matter when and how you install there is no way that we can assure that the device is free from malware. That's why Airgapped system is mandatory for storing decent amount of BTC. But OP looks more concerned about the crypto wallets of smartphones. We should not use smartphone to store big amount, should keep very minimal amount that you may need for day to day payments if there is any and all the remaining balance should be in HW or cold storage.
78  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Telegram Casinos (2) on: April 04, 2024, 06:00:12 PM
This is the first time, I realise it's possible to bet on Telegram bots with real money but in my opinion it's not trusted at all and I feel the results can be rigged and there is no way to verify it so better use the reputed casino built with proper structure to have the wholesome experience of fun while gambling.

Modern technology is making everything too accessible and that's why we get caught up losing our money as well so be careful with where you trust your money.
79  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lately I've been thinking about this a lot. on: April 04, 2024, 04:22:19 PM
We can never ensure that a match is completely free from fixing, this has been a part of it knowingly and sometimes athletes are too involved in it to make more money if they lose than they win but there are also kinds of athletes who play for their pride and never wanted to lose no matter what.

We can't know anything that is why I am putting my money under my fate instead of trusting others.
80  Other / Off-topic / Re: How much gambling can change a person and how low his mind can go. on: April 04, 2024, 06:30:58 AM
Don't gamble if you can't afford it which includes getting financial support from your family members unless you belong to elite class family. Stealing is crime no matter what so the person who committed should be charged with whatever penalty in that jurisdiction and if that person is underage then they might be asked to do social activities and undergo reality check knowledge to understand the reality.

Not every kid belong to poor family is not irresponsible but there are certain kids who surround themselves into wrong people and starts involving in crimes.
