Haha, There is no way Anti Magas are against bitcoin, bitcoin precedes that red Hat Cult by a long shot and was created to remove Bankers and has no political agenda and don't let anyone twist you around to being pitted against your

bitcoin brothers by any retarded Far right or Left dogma crap any piece of shit tries to push on you.

I agree.

Bitcoin should be outside of politics.  And any attempts to draw influence over Bitcoiners on the topic of Bitcoin should be met with scorn.

For a normal swath of political Americans, they are pro/anti "crypto" based on MAGA/antimaga. What they perceive  bitcoin or crypto as is nearly entirely shaped by their political entrenchment. I think what we're discussing is that for a lot of mid-late adopters that never understood the ideals of bitcoin are now biased against it instead of just neutral and ignorant. Trump pushing and grifting crypto poisons the image (to the left) and sweetens the image (to the right), and in the end most of those people were not going down a path of understanding, using and respecting the power of bitcoin.

I do not really evangelize bitcoin anymore in public, but I do ask the curious what do they think is going to last longer, the USA or bitcoin? Fun starting point IMO

BTC/EUR looks close to its ATH which may be drawing us closer to a major breakout. Choppers, INBOUND!

summoning the vroom chopper chart, this is a big first interval ($10k). That was a pretty high volume spike, wondering if there is a specific catalyst?
$110/mBTC, just a start I reckon

That leafs game was very depressing, right after they get a goal to try coming back goalie lets a rebuttal squeak by. NHL playoffs are always elevated play and skill (except the leafs), hoping that Connor starts collecting cups this year.

As we all know observing walls is a thing of the past. Aside from the fact that bots can post and pull walls it also feels like the major action is OTC. Can we get any visibility into the OTC action? Like we could "observe" an exchange trying to fulfill their OTC obligations but I guess that is secret. I wish an order would have to be put in the books and for a certain minimum time that scales with the size or something. Trade like gentlemen goddamnit

Tough to focus on work, I am stressing on some projects and the paycheck is like trying to fill up a pool with an eyedropper. Meanwhile glacial traditional finance is starting to melt, with the inevitable torrent into Bitcoin. Congrats to the ones on this thread who brought conviction and logic, holding for 10+ years.

$100k USD/BTC           it's a start

I used to read every post on this thread for years, now I don't know who any of you are and all my old friends are gone Sad

Shroomskit, Jaroslaw, Rich, Adam, where are you all??

Still here. Rich is still doing Chartbuddy, Jaroslaw/Walsoraj is long gone but I think Shroomskit may have made an appearance recently. Adam abdicated this thread years ago as a result of the blocksize wars and Risto is deceased (RIP). Time moves on.

Yea similar feelings, I returned after a long hiatus but many were gone. What about Terra, do people know if they disappeared? Interesting that Adam had to capitulate from this legendary thread. Also the the cryptic marcus aurelius, what ever happened to him? I list my original account when some account hack went down, which did not matter to me. When I go I return from BTC hibernation the active crop rotates out.

We really ought to have some bar, somewhere...

With all of the action we have seen in this range, surely it will just cut straight through the ATH. I hope so and I look forward to new price discovery by the current world, batterred by inflation and global economic turbulence. Maybe we are not the raft, getting closer to the coast guard.

Tight g7, players were nervous out there and each bounce near the net was heartstopping. Jimbo is more of a baseball guy, but Canada's metropolis sucks at hockey. Must get tiring, eh?

But really Jimbo, can we come and skate at your lake next Winter?

Indeed, I've been a ball fan since the mid-1950s but I didn't become a hockey fan until the Leafs started winning the Stanley Cup every year in the early 1960s. I guess you could call me a bandwagon fan. I did however watch the Canada-USSR series in 1971 and usually watch both the men's and women's Olympic teams.

Every year I say I'll start watching the Leafs when they reach the Stanley Cup finals and every year they fail. It's the Curse of Ballard. This year I tried getting interested early and watched game 7 against the Bruins. Again they failed.

As for skating on Lake Bitcoin, forget it. Even I can't get in during the winter. My deep-snow snowmobiling days are over. Also you cant skate when the snow is 3-4 feet deep.

Wow you've racked up many laps around the sun Jimbo, I am glad you found bitcoin. The summit series must have been something to behold; I have heard it was war on ice. Way back in my day (the 90s) we used to shovel the rink out and make boards that you could catapult into, just solid fluff stuff. Maybe sirazimuth can still skate, if not he will sing the opening anthems.

someone brought up Mindrust, and I hope that person is OK mentally given the conditions.

This entire forum could be compiled into a prophetic text. For the Old Testament and literal word of the creator, we have early devs and Satoshi. Then our New Testament is full of pages, with many parables from this WO thread. The pages of AdamsBigBlock, the parable of the R0ach, the parable of Mindrust, etc.

Really, our belief system is to not trust, but verify. And collectively, we all want that sweet church tax-break.

I will go to Zeunerts lurker convention, but under the condition that no hats are allowed.

There are more lurkers than you think on the WO....

OT: beware of a "new" scam...you get a call and an "electronic" voice keeps saying  "hello, hello, hello".
I expect whatever you say, if it is more than "yes" or "hello", will be recorded and then used in a potential scam.
Banks keep saying..your voice is your password...riiiiight.

A potential "Great filter"...everyone would be scammed to smithereens...as no remote interaction with people you supposedly know would be possible.
It's time to develop countermeasures.

Imagine an AI trained on your voice calling you and pretending it's you from the future 😂

"Wait, that's what I sound like?.. "

Well times have changed from 2017 when I was furiously refreshing the page in the airport only to find Winklevoss ETF denial. Over the coming years the funds for these ETFs will slowly grow as bitcoin supply rate dwindles. Gary will be a sniveling footnote. And the US debt will exceed 100 trillion greenbacks.

This whole thing feels like the promotion at work that comes a bit late. Nice, we get legacy onramps, but what took so damn long  Huh
17  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 07, 2024, 06:00:24 PM
....

The funny part is that the girl from the bank asked a lot of stupid questions for approval of the loan, like "for what will you use the computer?". I said "For checking my email." This answer obviously didn't satisfy her and she went on and on, and I was giving the most ridiculous answers I could figure out.  Grin

"I will be using this computer for games, and to slowly erode the hegemony of the legacy financial system"

Happy New years people of the wall.

I have to read over this rake strategy, as it may be time to confront my reckless allocation and "let it ride" mentality. Like others, though, I have a working cash flow job and other tradfi allocations so there was never much of a need to liquidate. I have favored the feeling of saving in bitcoin.

Eh, time to get the party going. Train is pulling out of the station.....

that train doesn't look anywhere near a station

Thar she blows. A big buy and our collective confident bullishness is validated, hopefully the early rumblings of the next big one. Not sure how much of a sell the news the ETF announcement will have, but long term the on-ramps will be solidified for an enormous legacy wealth transfer. Flight to quality
