Good catch! It gives a explanation for the doubling in difficulty from early March and highly concentrated hashrate coming from f2p! They were probably in testing phase with hundreds/thousands of thoses.... I was wondering if it was fpga's or ASIC's... now I know!

@Ryzen2700x I realized that too... If there was a cheating miner like I think, he maybe trying to hide his exploit so the issue stays unaddressed for future abuses.

Yeah, with very few pools, and an hyper-concentrated mining power that may be currently abusing it's power... very secure coin! smh They haven't missed more than 3 in a row in the last 100 blocks BTW. *Not shady at all
(I believe in this coin and it's innovative features it brings, although something on the mining side is going really problematic imo, not my intention to butthurt anyone here.)

@jackbox I wasn't talking about market or prices, I was talking about MINING. Theses were the mining stats of Mining Pool Hub... Why do miners need to mine around 150% of what we supposed to? I understand that it can happen for a day but.... Why this ''bad luck'' keeps on going for months and why this is unaddressed? Obviously some entity been owning more of 51% of the Zcoin hashrate for a long time... Is that entity manipulating the nonces to ease up the work for himself, or some others shady tricks? Or this ''bad luck'' for others just naturally happen when someone own more than 51% of the hashrate... Just looking for the truth on why the mining scene on Zcoin is in such bad state... For me and for now, crypto prices/markets fluctuations are unimportant, real projects and real communities are.

I wish real and present issues like this weren't swept under the rug... Bad luck? For months? What's happening?

Can't you people see the pattern? hundreds of those cool design, copy/paste clones since a couple of months, and they keep on doing it because it works... Can't wait for the 2019 Integration with Facebook/Google (announced in their roadmap) where this coin will have the opportunity to truly turn into an Orwellian nightmare  

I was planning to mine Zcoin all next summer but I just switched to another coin temporarily... there is not enough pools, mph is extremely unlucky (it sometimes takes from 500% to 1000% of the expected time to find a block, meanwhile f2pool gets very very very lucky), miners are asking legitimate questions, is someone cheating? Pretty disappointing to mine lately...

Good article up there! With what happened in the last months with other coins, I often wonder how can be detected hidden/early ASIC mining... I 'member the difficulty of Zcoin jumping from the low 20k to the high 30's two months ago, never going back down since. Since then I'm worried because Zcoin will sure be looked at by ASIC manufacturers, and if you have a mining resistance principle, ASIC development is having more incentives to go secret...  I think it's really hard, but somewhat valuable to fight ASIC, you got to have a plan and be proactive if the shit hits the fan...
 
On another hand, I've been trying that zFastminer for a couple of weeks with 2x1070. Using also numerical ip to connect to the pool and my hashrate/payouts has improved massively vs the recommended miner by the pool. GG BitSoftGeek! With 2x1070 it went from 3.4mh to 4.8mh and goes spiking sometimes on mph up to 20mh/s!

Everytime I start to mine this coin, pool gets unlucky AF! Getting close to 900% of expected shares on MPH on the next block! urghhhhh (At that point, the pool reportings may be having troubles though)

Hey guys! This coin is so fun to mine, and cheap to buy... don't fear markets prices, let time do its thing!

My question/project is: Me and a couple of real life friends are going to do a little poker night soon... They know about cryptos (because that's all I'm talking about to my friends  ) but they don't own any yet... Poker night! Perfect way to show them how it works and give them some PGN's! My question is: What would be the best way to organize this? You know any app that could split a tournament prize? Right now, I think the easiest way for me would be to print and create prizes (address+private key) in advance for the night but I'd like to hear if there's good ideas on this... Thanks!

I'm leaving RVN not because of their official pool messup, but mostly because of those toxic fanboys that will blindly defend incompetency so their dear coin can stay hyped. Those devs are hiding behind a bunch of overhyped fanboys that systematicaly shutdown legitimate concerns from others. I've seen this fanboy disease spread to so many other coins it the past few months, I can't stand those blind noobs. Goodluck and goodbye.
