I was told to short since the price would just continue crashing down! I've got the list of people ready that I will be holding accountable in case I should get margin called!

Just shorted my whole stash because you were recommending that. Why is it going up again!?
Stop watching the 3-minute candles, zoom out a bit. Like so: See a trend? @inca: What keeps you thinking that mysterious malefactors are trying to part you from your bag of dicks? Whatever it is, let me [try to] reassure you that your bag is safe. It's your bag. Every last dick in it is yours. To have Yeah, it's freaking flat-lining. half a year ago this would've sent the market into free-fall, but now... nothing! I miss the good old 80s... Full blown manipulations... *sigh*

You can consider the technology already failed horribly as it has been surpassed by several altcoins on every aspect that is important for mainstream adoption.
I don't see things that way. There are other coins I prefer, such as Dash, but there are so many other cutting edge crypto technologies emerging I don't pretend to be able to keep up with them. Bitcoin is still the largest network by far, and looks like it's heading towards a more establishment future with ownership ledgers based on the blockchain and other technology start-ups aiming to dismantle visa and mastercard's duopoly. This is not the anonymous digital cash which people originally thought it was, so if you want to get off the grid, pick your alt, that rabbit's out of the hat and won't be going back in. That was never that large a market anyway, so speculating on bitcoin from the perspective is over, yes. The mainstream financial system, however, is not long for this world in my opinion, and bitcoin is entirely ahead of anything else to replace it. This also addresses some of the centralised mining issues and 51% attacks which bitcoin isn't optimised for, because that's not a problem for the financial services sector, you already have a tradition of many large data centres distributed globally across different corporations and nations. You're missing a leg.

Shucks, I think I only made it to page 2 of another thread that will go down into history I think I have to watch out for the COIN observer thread once it goes live

I strongly believe we will (at least) experience the trend reversal this year, which - in my opinion - has already happened in January and it's confirmation happens as we speak!!!

Alone the idea that people agree that something has value to begin with is the basis of money itself. Otherwise our beautiful tiny bills I cotton wouldn't have any vale at all And Bitcoin offers this world-wide and independent of any economy or political power!!!

I really gotta say that I'm quite sure that there are more than enough people willing to buy at $80, he'll even at $100 before we go that low. I respect your analysis but have to disagree wholeheartedly...

I gotta say the chances of reaching $1000 again aren't that bad. I believe they're maybe about 80% or so - although I may be wrong about that. I still believe in BTC. This year can only get better!

Yeah, April Fools day, but the idea is awesome and also that Varoufakis has Bitcoin on his radar is nice. It could be interesting to buy an amount of €1-10m just in case...

Things were also looking like this back at the beginning of February and we did a slow but surprise breakout there, as well. I think chances are still quite good that this is "it"
just a newbie speculating : my best price i can imagine during this month is 315$ at highest. IF the boom happens If a boom happens, I'd imagine it not going above $400 within a month, tops. But I think your target of $315 makes sense for the most part. One thing, though: we need to get above $310-$325 in order to confirm a breakout from previous resistance levels there. If bit we may bounce off again!!!

Other Altcoins aren't crashing that much, are they? I mean they could also be one of the many causes for money bleeding out of BTC... Who knows.

Well no one knows... Bitcoin is still very much an asset whose price is based on speculation. Gox's downfall and the introduction of leveraged trading across exchanges pushed the price worse than ever before. If we manage to go above $310 now, I guess the bear market is over. But those are just my 2 Satoshi...

Bitcoin price entered an unimpressive decline today after days of setting up the move. It may be a slow start or we may be seeing price bottom out near 1500 CNY and $240. At the time of writing price is resolving a correction near 1510 CNY and $244 from where it should make the next drop to a supporting trendline below. Read here: https://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/bitcoin-price-decline-support/I guess it was at this point that we finally broke out of that dreadful mini falling wedge. Things get never boring in Bitcoin land... Let's see where this tiny rocket gets us this time!

I think it's just not that fancy looking and working yet. I believe there are still some minor quirks that need to be fixed, but at least we could leave behind the times of intermediaries running away with the coins...

Yeah, looks like we're slowly going up again. I know it isn't a lot yet but we seem to have broken the small falling wedge now. A good performance for a Friday
