I'm assuming that one needs to have linux installed on the PS3 to make this work; no?
which my ps3 is incapable of since they patched OtherOS away.

yeah  Sad I have that same issue..I have one of those new PS3 slim units..no way I can run any other OS on it. That's why it would be cool if somehow the mining app was made into a PS3 recognizable game Smiley I mean this should theoretically be possible no?

if you had the SDK i'd assume so.
go the official route which is like $10K

or this maybe (http://psl1ght.com/)
Code:
PSL1GHT is a lightweight PlayStation 3 homebrew SDK that uses the open-source PlayStation 3 toolchains to compile user applications that will run from the XMB menu (GameOS homebrew).

Big performance improvements
Nvidia has just rolled out its latest Geforce 270.51 Beta drivers that bring decent improvements for the GTX 560 Ti and the GTX 580 card. In addition to the performance boost for those cards, Nvidia has implemented its "Nvidia update" feature as well as some updates for Nvidia 3D Vision, Nvidia Surround and Nvidia CUDA.

The new Geforce 270.51 driver features support for all GPUs since Geforce 6 series including ION GPUs, but the main performance improvements are for the GTX 580 and the GTX 560 Ti including up to 326 and 516 percent boost for Dragon Age 2 on single and SLI GTX 580 systems and various other games. Another interesting feature is the new Nvidia update that keeps your PC up-to-date with the latest Nvidia drivers simply by notifying you whenever the new ones are available.

Some updates, including feature and performance, are made to the 3D Vision as well as Nvidia's Surround. The last but not least is added support for applications using CUDA 4.0 features such as Unified Virtual Addressing (UVA) and GPUDirect v2.0.

The driver can be found over at Nvidia's website where you can find the full release highlights as well.

51  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / [win 7 64bit,Bitcoin:0.3.11]app crash on: September 06, 2010, 08:50:10 PM
screen shots attached

seems that something went wrong with my wallet.dat file.
i was messing with my cpu, overclocking it and such.
when i'd go into windows i'd turn bitcoins on to see what the khashs were like, but when windows crashed it started to error out. when i goto ""C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Roaming\Bitcoin"" and completely clean it out, bitcoin runs fine. when i just put the saved wallet.dat in, it continues to error out.

is there anything i can do to keep the 50 bitcoins that were in that wallet? or are they gone?

here is some info from microsoft error report, and db logs:
