I also agree with you it would be in the best interest of the community to clean up all these topics made by most likely scammers.

Their are numerous theories online on who satoshi really is. Other than Satoshi not much is known about the original history that traces back to the early days of this forum or its predecessor. It is certainly interesting to know a refined backstory on how such a great forum started out in its early days.

You can upgrade your account to Copper Member by buying it, it costs about 0.002 btc, more info here; https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2385104.0

It seems he's just doing his job of an upstanding member of the community and reporting you for your malicious behavior.

386  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is the safest wallet to use? on: January 11, 2018, 07:12:38 PM
A safe web wallet for example uses a secure socket connection which means https in the url bar and allows you to control the private keys or own these or export to another wallet.

Did you read about that new tax bill approved by Congress? First thing you hear before that is that law that allows cabel companies to charge you extra for using certain sites and now you gotta tax every transaction with crypto if you live in the USA.
388  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Sending crypto from one exchange to the other on: January 11, 2018, 07:04:12 PM
Yes you would in general send BTC over to the other exchange. Or the most active pair listed for said coni on exchange B.
389  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: how much posts can i make ? on: January 11, 2018, 04:06:42 PM
As many as you want but keep in mind these need to be of certain
quality. If you mean activity points then its max 14 points for per
two weeks. I don't think that having an acc with the age you mention
will ensure more point earnings than the built-in max.

Everyone makes mistakes. It's part of the process of self-learning and growing. Even if people will tell you the mistakes they made in here you'll most certainly come across some of your own future wise. mistakes can be used to learn from and improve yourself. They aren't always a bad thing.

392  Other / Meta / Re: How to Change User name on: January 11, 2018, 03:59:18 PM
You can't change your name. Nobody can except admins and they will
only do so under rare circumstances.
393  Other / Meta / Re: Banned Account on: January 10, 2018, 06:14:31 PM
Probably best to contact the appeal e-mail. No idea how long a response will take but considering its to the forum owner it may be a while before he gets to it. Good luck though.
394  Other / Meta / Re: Newbies can now pay a small fee to enable images on: January 10, 2018, 06:10:07 PM
I guess people have been waiting for this for a good while now. Great to see it finally arrived!
395  Other / Meta / Re: Farming and Bitcointalk on: January 10, 2018, 06:04:32 PM
I understand your frustration, it's annoying, and you have this going on at the biggest webmaster forum as well. Basically, on any community that puts the value on something that you can gain over time; there will be some kind of farming. As long there are people who will put money to what you are selling there will be those who post and build up these accounts.
396  Other / Meta / Re: Getting Mail from Bitcointalk for PM that doesn't exist on: January 10, 2018, 06:02:52 PM
Like mentioned above by the owner it probably got detected or reported already by a member and then removed by a staff member. The account in question that is and whatever messages they left.
397  Other / Meta / Re: Problem Accessing Old bitcointalk Account on: January 10, 2018, 06:01:04 PM
If you posted a BTC address or other type of crypto address that allows you to sign messages with it, then you could prove ownership of the account and recover it quite smoothly. Or PM the mod above me.

Aye this will be the best way for you if the card is indeed yours.
399  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: give best instructions for beginners on: December 18, 2017, 08:31:43 PM
Yes the rank system is designed this way to make sure their is no abuse. This is also why some of these acc's sell for high amount of money when they got for example legendary status.

A member with a good rank account is also important for participating in bounty campaigns. Generally you want the "member" rank when starting out on those campaigns.
