Yes, you can. I have armor doing 30 Mh/s on ETH. but won't do at 100w. More like 120w.
Thanks alot. With this card bring 1/3 price of Vega 64 which is a unicorn at a decent price, I am leaning more towards RX 570. What BIOS and settings are u using? Thanks 👍

Sapphire is better built. But gigabyte has 3 yrs warranty while sapphire has 2yrs.
On my Vega 64s I am getting stabe 43Mh/s with 130W withtout any BIOS mod. I just got the MSI Armor 570 4GB with Hynix memory. Now without any BIOS mod I am getting 20Mh/s. GPU Clock 1000 Mem clock 1100 Do u think I will be able to push this card to 30Mh/s with BOIS mod with around 100W?? Please advice. Otherwise I might as well return it and get something else that u guys will recommend. Advice is much appreciated. Thanks

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Ripple wallet and buying on exchange help
|
on: December 25, 2017, 09:15:50 AM

Hi guys. I am looking to purchase ripple. I know it's not widely available as other coins. So far I hold small fraction of Bitcoin and litecoin in coinbase.
I made an account on Binance also but haven't used it. Bittrex sign-ups are closed.
What exchange do u guys recommend for buying ripple and how to go about it.
Also what about wallets? Do u guys recommend I keep ripple on exchange or wallet? If wallet which one would u guys recommend?
Thanks

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining on Win 10 Monero and XMR
|

Hi Guys, Building my mining rig for monero. I will be using XMR for mining.
Silly question but has anyone bought Win 10 license on ebay etc. They sell for like $25 and I am not sure if I should buy one from Ebay.
I know the regular license cost like $100 from MS and authorized seller.
Please let me know.
Thanks
If you can find an old Win7 Pro license that is valid, you can install win7 and upgrade to win10 for free. I'm not sure about buying license keys on eBay. I probably wouldn't do it. I guess if you buy it and it doesn't work, you can file a claim with Paypal to get your money back. Thanks. The prices are so cheap on ebay that I might not have anything to lose but at the same time it does worry me coz they are dirt cheap...lol. I have an old Win 7 laptop that I upgraded to Win 10. I will try to somehow get the Serial No. from there and see if I can install Win 10 and use the old laptop to authenticate. Thanks.

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Using ddr2 or ddr3 for mining?

To me ... sounds like you building your first computer and you have lack of knowledge about how to do it , what supports what Read your motherboard description on the manufacturer website : PRIME H270-PLUS/CSMIf you doing that , you going to find out , the only mem supported by your motherboard is DDR4 From HERE you can downlad the PRIME_H270-PLUS_MemoryQVL list If you are going to be using 3x Vega 64 for mining and planning to add more GPUs later. " make sure you have at least 4GB of system memory but in your case 8GB would be much better choice Ya it's been close to 15yrs since I build my last PC so am a bit Rusty. Thanks for the link and advice. I'll stick with 8GB for this build.

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Using ddr2 or ddr3 for mining?
|
on: December 19, 2017, 07:40:48 AM

Hi guys. Building my first mining rig. As u guys know RAM ddr4 is expensive these days.
Can I mine using ddr3 or ddr2 which is so much cheaper. Also most ppl tell me 4GB is enough. Do u guys recommend 2x2GB or 1x4GB sticks?
Will be using 3x Vega 64 for mining. Adding more GPUs later. Using Asus Prime H270+ CSM motherboard.
Thanks

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Looking for wallet Monero, suggestions
|

Hi, I like MyEtherWallet for Ethereum. I am looking to mine following coins:
1) Monero 2) Electroneum
Is there a centralized place that will allow me to interact directly with the blockchain while remaining in full control of your keys & your funds like myetherwallet
OR
Do u guys recommend separate web based client side interface like myetherwallet for Monero, electroneum. Which ones?
Thanks

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Help choosing the right motherboard.

There's a number of mining-specific motherboards compatible with kaby lake processors.
Asus B250 Mining Expert 19 slots seems like overkill for your purposes, and note that actually getting 19 cards to run on this board is usually a pain. (That many cards on one system isn't always desirable either, since it puts many eggs in one basket, so to speak.)
ASRock H110 Pro BTC+ 13 slots, spaced rather close together, however.
BIOSTAR TB250-BTC PRO This one seems to have more quality control issues than others, or such reports could be due to simple user error and chance.
GIGABYTE GA-H110-D3A
Additionally, you may wish to consider motherboards that aren't marketed for mining purposes. Just make sure you do the necessary research to see if other people have run into limitations with that specific board.
Thanks alot. I was reading somewhere and am probably wrong that we can't run more than 8 cards due to some limitation in some mining software? In your experience do I need to flash some special BIOS on the above MBs or they just run out of the box? Thanks

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / What size SSD do I need for Ethereum or Menero?
|
on: December 06, 2017, 09:35:32 PM
|
Hi Guys, In the process of making my own rig for mining. Will be running claymore to mine, not planning on downloading any local wallet software what makes u download tons of data. Planning on mining Ethereum and Minero on separate rigs atm but may look at other currencies in the future. What is a good size for SSD that I need? I know S9 bitcoin miners use MicroSD cards so I am guessing 128GB or 256GB should be plenty. Please let me know asap. Thanks

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Online Ether wallet and mining Pool?
|
on: December 02, 2017, 07:50:31 PM

Hi Guys, I am setting up my rig to mine for the first time. I wanted to know which online ethereum wallets u guys recommend. Also which mining pool? Thanks Well theres always myetherwallet ( https://myetherwallet.com) but some people will say its "not safe" because its a hot wallet. But in reality, all you need is common sense and make sure you are at the correct website before doing any transactions. For the pool, I personally use nanopool ( https://nanopool.org) because I love the monitoring charts and email alerts. Hi, What do u mean by hot wallet? Thanks
