Most of the signature campaigns give the same amount of stakes to Jr.Members and members. I think it is not fair, especially now, when Jr. cannot have clickable links in their signatures

This is not correct. Member ranks gets almost double of what Jr Members are getting. Some examples:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3036499.0

Rates:
Jr member - .00075/week
Member - .0015/week

Jr Member with at least 1 merit - .00125/week
Member with at least 2 merit - .0025/week

You can observe similar trend in other campaigns allowing Jr members. These campaigns are allowing Jr Members even though there signatures are not clickable. However, number of such campaigns is very less. Regarding OP's comment that this is not justified, I guess ranking up to member level is not hard if someone is active and constructive with his posts here.

3  Other / Meta / Re: Merit hole and 3 fixes might work (Worth looking) on: March 20, 2018, 09:33:14 AM
I don't think it is waste for Legendary. They receive 0.5 sMerits per 1 received merit. Then they could distribute it to other members, someones even help junior (in general term) members to rank up. I see this type of initiative mostly among Legendary members. That is a very good think. And some of them are really knowledgeable and no wonder they get more merits.

Regarding those 0.5 merits being useful for junior members, they will still remain useful if they come from a  lower rank member. It makes more sense to allow merits for low rank members only as they need it. However, this idea of stopping merit points for legendary members will result in one problems. Some of the campaign managers have started the criteria of having some amount of earned merits for higher payout. No if merit points are discontinued for legendary, they will suffer because of this or the campaign managers will have to change the rules for this rank again.

4  Other / Meta / Re: And I Was Fucked Up For The Campaign on: March 20, 2018, 09:27:43 AM
I know this might be rubbish, you know what? Posting here has been hard lately although Im already a MEMBER now, I'm just to careful to reply on such threads that not capable of staying longer.
So here's the thing, I was on my way on reaching the number of posts needed for my campaign yesterday and yes, it was a success for me before 12:00MN UTC and so I was too happy about it that I can already earn. But a couple of minutes after refreshing my profile  (12:00MN ONWARDS) I just saw that some of my posts/replies are already gone.
I think that there are some threads have already been put to trashcan. And now I'm totally fucked up. This shit is making me crazy. I'm totally annoyed with those shitposts that's why I already make a reply on THEYMOS' THREAD OF DONT REPLY OFF TOPICS.
Even though I think it's still my fault for not making my posts even more in number I can't help my self being annoyed. I know it's just a 0.00125 btc but still here in my country it's already a big money that's why I'm giving my all for this community. You may actually say that I'm here for money, well yes that's true but besides that I'm trying to learn how will this help me more by understanding every words that has already been discussed here.
I'm not making a fuss here, I'm just sharing my thoughts for I was so annoyed. I hope you can leave me some comments with this failure of mine.

NOW FINDING ANY BOUNTIES FOR MY ALLOWANCE I'M KINDA BROKE THAT'S WHY I NEED TO WORK.

Lesson: If you're in a Campaign dont just post with the minimum requirement because some of it may get deleted.

The campaign manager handling this particular campaign has mentioned many times that one should make extra posts to cope up with this. But most of the members just complete 25 posts and never bother to check the post count at last day. It is common for some threads to get deleted. Many of the applicants reply on new threads and these might get deleted by moderators if they feel it is not required or violating a rule. Take this as a lesson and post some extra posts from now on. Also, you should have communicated this privately to campaign manager before posting this in public.
5  Other / Meta / Re: Newbie, Jr Members, Members suffering from merit-phobia: Explanations and Advice on: March 16, 2018, 06:02:33 PM
I do post constructive, meaningful and helpful posts(Check my posts if someone wants). But I am not getting merits. I try and it is very hard. Merit is a good idea but not fair as it should be. Why? Because for getting merits we need not only good posts but also a bit of luck. Increasing the number of merit sources may help. Let's be hopeful.  Smiley

Finally as a Jr.member, suffering from merit phobia can be perfectly justified in my point of view.

If you see the merit stats, you will find a lot of other new members getting merits. If the merit system was a failure, all the new members should not be able to get any merits at all. This is not the case and many became members after the merit system. This means you are doing something wrong. I agree that sometimes one may not get merits even after making quality poss. You need to analyze the reasons and change your approach. Taking smart decisions like posting when most members are active and posting in sections often visited by senior members can be helpful.

7  Other / Meta / Re: Too lazy to read the rules? Come watch them on: February 18, 2018, 06:11:42 AM
You are doing a great job. But the issue is that if someone is not able to learn the rules from the official thread and 151 pages of replies, the problem is with the attitude not understanding of that person.
8  Other / Meta / Re: Why not just adding 1 phone number per account ? or 1 IP per account + Verfify on: February 18, 2018, 06:08:56 AM
Why he should give 1 sendable merit for stranger but to get 2 merit its really HARD .
and also sendable merit its not available daily , weekly or month its only gain after you receiving 2 merit for 1 Sendable meit LOL

It has been intentionally kept hard so that you really work for those merits. Also, you should expect merits from merit sources, who get some merits to spend per month.

better adding phone number for 1 account
and also for 1 verification ID with his face for 1 account and note register date and bitcointalk username. and you will not see daily register 500 member ++

How hard is it to get multiple phone numbers or verification ids ? Also, manually verifying these for the amount of registrations this forum receives will require more staff.
9  Other / Meta / Re: Merit Data from 503 Randomly Selected Altcoin Bounty Hunters on: February 18, 2018, 06:04:30 AM
Those members have:
  • Received 1129 merits
  • Average of 2.24 merits earned
  • Excluding those who have no merits, earned, the remaining 105 have earned an average 10.75 merits

You did a great job. These stats speak for themselves:

1) The 105 members in your sample received 10.75 merits each. This shows that there are enough merits for everyone, provided you are ready to make some efforts.

2) Majority has no merits. This is something that needs to be looked after. The promotional offers (bounties and campaigns) should not expect members without any merits.

Suggestion: If it is possible for you to include data regarding the average posts made by the user, please include it. Especially for those 105 members.
10  Other / Meta / Re: Delete unmerited massages on: February 18, 2018, 05:59:06 AM
Hello everyone

Due to the fact that without enough merit we couldn't rank up to Legendary in the future.
So, to avoid trash massages it is applicable to delete own unmerited massages or not.?

In simple logic if I'm not mistaken message without merit is not qualify to called it quality post.

In my own observation this forum system is full of meaningless discussion. Only few is meaningful.
Nothing is exempted. Everyone contributes useless massage.

Without any kinds of merit motives we know the fact that we have our own garbage.
But if you think this massage is helpful why not merit.

Here is why you should not do it:

1) You make a post, someone quotes that post and gives a reply. Now you delete that post, making it look weird. If everyone starts doing this, we will see chaos here. Also, it is not justified for the members who took time to reply to your queries.

2) If you delete all merited messages and keep only posts with merits, it will look suspicious.

3) I know that there is lot of competition for merits but you need not affect your activity for that. If you learn from this and stop posting those meaningless post in future, it is more than sufficient.
11  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: February 18, 2018, 05:55:17 AM
As to the topic at hand:

I have severe doubts as the, well, merit, of the merit system. I've seen several systems implemented to restrict spam or low quality posts over the years, and they have all come to naught sooner or later.

The reasons for that are many, but the biggest one, in my opinion, is not a negative. There are a lot of clever people here, and they will figure out how to game the system. Whatever the system is. There are many things that can be said about the denizens of bitcointalk, but for the most part they are not sheep.

Let it play out. Theymos does keep an eye and an active hand on his creations. It will work or it won't.

I am not aware of the earlier methods you are talking about as I joined recently. But I think the merit system is designed after giving it la lot of thought as:

1) This system is designed in a way that it will keep getting better with time on its own. The alt accounts, account farmers will spend the default merit they got soon. They will also fail to get merits from merit sources as they will not be able to post good quality posts. If they start improving the post quality, that is an additional benefit.

2) All the new registrations will now be careful from start with their posting. Less work for moderators which can utilize for other important tasks.

3) The merit system system actually has resulted in automated moderation with the help of existing members.

4) Finally, let me explain regarding members going to game this system as well. It is not happening actually which is evident from the complaints we are getting from so many new members that they are not able to rank up.
12  Other / Meta / Re: People & the merit system on: February 16, 2018, 09:34:53 AM
Hahaha you hit the nerve, I was thinking also, if I would be Stock with Jr. Member for a year with thousand of post and no one gives me merit, I'll be laughing stock, just asking if we could get merit in another way if no one gives me and I'm not planning to buy point from others, because we need also to rank up because you'll be Stock with.   . 5 stake every bounty end.... You know my point?

Do you want to say that there will not be enough participants for bounties ? I guess that is not true because of two reasons:

1) There are already huge number of members and above rank who got these ranks be default.

2) A lot of new members are getting merits and ranking up.
13  Other / Meta / Re: Above Legendary Rank on: February 16, 2018, 09:30:22 AM
I would like to see new high rank added. Now there are so many Legendary members on Bitcointalk that this rank aren't exclusive anymore. And there are some users who are contributing here for long and maybe they deserved to reach special rank.
But no, not Satoshi. First of all, because only one person can be called Satoshi. Secondly, because this name aren't related to current ranks in any way. Maybe we could call them "Extraordinary" or sth similar?

On most of the websites that offer points or ranks for posts, there is requirement like getting certain number of posts per year maintain rank. This is better solution than just adding one rank above legendary in my opinion.
14  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: February 16, 2018, 09:25:50 AM
It is really hard to do some backreading sorry. I just want to ask if how does the system goes. Is it doing good or not?, well obviously there are some abuse no doubt but is there any given statistics for it? Like the total number of merits given. Who is currently leading in giving or receiving merits. I am most likely can understand it xD

The system is going well. If you see the posts being made by new members, you will definitely see that their posts make more sense now. Initially, they were complaining much but I guess everyone is getting used to this new system.

Yeah, in theory you post "quality" messages, you'll get rewarded.

Cannot say about others but I posted some threads which I think will benefit the forum and got some merits from different members of the forum. So, I got rewarded for quality posts in "practical."

In reality people do not send a lot of merit, slowing down by at least 100x the ranking up, for any reason - there are few merit sources here and they get a refill once a month.
Other people will judge your posts and for any reason will not send you merit even if you'll explain why the grass is green and the wind is never seen...
It won't stop in any way the spam.
Merit won't induce me to browse this forum and partecipate in any discussion I just don't want to partecipate.
And that won't stop legendary that just want to cheat, not to cheat.

If the admin feels that merit sources are not enough to cover the forum entirely, he will simple add more. Regarding senior members cheating, I agree with you. In case, such members are found, there should be some change in current system to punish them as well.
17  Other / Meta / Some questions regarding signature campaigns on: January 31, 2018, 07:20:10 PM
I had some questions regarding signature campaigns and thought others might be seeking answers to these:

1) Signature campaigns require users to make certain number of posts and these should be 100 words (or so) minimum. Does this means that all posts made by me after getting enrolled should be 100 words minimum otherwise I will be removed. I mean can I make 60 posts in total and in those 40 posts will be having 100 words minimum.

2) Some campaigns say that posts in local boards are not allowed. Does that mean that a member posting in local threads mainly has less chances of being approved ?

3) These campaigns require user to wear signature and then make post with current number of posts. Does that mean that all posts made thereafter will be considered if the member is enrolled in future ?

4) Can I pm the manager regarding a specific doubt ?

5) Had there been instances where members were not paid in a campaign ? If yes, how to spot such campaigns beforehand.
18  Other / Meta / Re: Facebook ban on: January 31, 2018, 07:08:46 PM
This is a big news and it would be interesting to see the impact on current prices. This news should push the rices down for few days but in the long run it is better. It would help to weed out scammers and fraud companies trying to fool people interested in investing in crypto. Such people tarnish the image of genuine coins as well.
19  Other / Meta / Re: The easiest way to get some merit ? on: January 30, 2018, 12:59:17 PM
I wonder how easy it is to get some merit. Could you please give me some hints where to post and what to post?

No it is not easy to get some merit. If you are looking for an easy way, you better try your luck somewhere else.

Is it realistic for a Newbie to get some merit and became a member eventually?

Very much realistic. A lot of new members are getting it. I have got some merits from different members here and on the way to become a member soon with 4 more activity. There are some who got enough merits to become senior members.

Please let me know your experience with this new feature and perhaps some hints?
Perhaps if you post some hints in this thread, it would be good for other people seeking the same information as well..

Some hints for you:

1) Post quality posts. This means to the point and easy to understand posts.

2) If many members had already answered a query, do not post there until you have something unique to add.

20  Other / Meta / Re: BCT is now a "Government", mod and legend are all Cabinet ! on: January 29, 2018, 05:59:43 AM
Merit is not good way to make BCT clean...BCT need a good rule for airdrop/bounty program, but not a monopolized rule for new members !

If you owned a company, who will make the rules there ? You or your employees ? This is a privately pwned forum and you have to follow the rules whether you like them or not. Some people will say that if members are not taken care of, then they will leave and the forum will die. But we forget that there are other things to take care of. What if those advertisers start leaving this forum because the posts here are useless and repetitive. Who will pay for the server and staff costs then ? Thus, an admin may have to take some harsh decisions like this from time to time.
