I have a problem with the UFC pool...
Accessing the edit-workers page on Chrome (not incognito) boots me back to the home page and I become logged out. Is anyone else having this problem? (For now, I'll solo)

I've visited your site any times and was impressed by the design. The automatic-betting service is a great feature. However, it frequently lags when I place a bet (sometimes up to 5s)...
I'm EnterYouName (27424). I visited previously from incognito, so the details were not saved...

Darsek is dead? no one mining it?
Mind pasting the getmininginfo here so I can see where it sits? I do not have it downloaded. 23:02:07 getmininginfo
23:02:07  { "blocks" : 22104, "currentblocksize" : 1000, "currentblocktx" : 0, "difficulty" : 0.01859566, "errors" : "", "generate" : false, "genproclimit" : -1, "hashespersec" : 0, "networkhashps" : 1695405, "pooledtx" : 0, "testnet" : false }
This sounds quite interesting. I'll try mining some myself. I can't seem to get the files for GPL (Google Drive can't find the file)...

I think this is a nice idea... but how are you going to assure advertisers that they are going to get views for their ads?

Simple really. http://youtu.be/vBHONx9vTtI~BCX~ [/quote] So... a time-warp attack? Wasn't that fixed in the latest release? Or is this a smaller version of the time-warp attack which the network is not resistant to?

Difficulty has been stuck at 5255.042 for many blocks now... Look: The timestamps are also jumping back and forth... The fuzziness is due to the block times jumping forward 2min, back 3min, forward 2.3min, ... Both the block explorer and CoinChoose say there is currently 2.5TH/s hitting TRC, up from 500+ GH/s earlier today... (Question here: Seeing as the block timings are spaced very closely, how is the difficulty not skyrocketing?)

So, after 24 hours of mining, here's my takeaway. Pros: - The hoster is professional in his dealings. e.g. he had once forgotten to turn on my plan, so to compensate he gave me doubled PPS for a period of time.
Cons: - Will never make positive ROI. In 27 hours of 6k PPS (at a rate of 0.032 BTC/day) I've made ~0.44 XPM, which is 2.8 mBTC at current prices. The loss ratio is over 90%. If anything, this only goes to show how unprofitable XPM really is right now.
Also... what sieve size and jhprimeminer are used for mining? Smaller sieve sizes raise PPS, lower sieve sizes drop PPS, but the share rate would stay approximately constant.

What's going on here? (Note: cudaminer works fine) (Note #2: Same goes for ports 3334 and 8341)

I wonder what the effect will be for existing blocks that used the older proof of work.
I think it won't have much effect. The hash is of the program version, the hash of the previous block header, the hash of all the transactions in the block and a few other things. I don't see it referring directly to any of the previous blocks (only to the prevHash), so it should be fine. Disclaimer: I am not an expert

It is probably possible, like mustyoshi said.
However, if that is to be done the difficulty has to be taken into account, since different hashing algorithms have different speeds. Moving from, say, SHA-256 to Keccak, would entail a significant hashrate alteration (some searching around gives me 12.5 cycles/byte for Keccak and 14.3 cycles/byte for SHA-256, a difference of ~15%), resulting in probable difficulty plunges or spikes. A good difficulty adjustment algorithm would be able to handle this properly.
