524  Economy / Gambling / Re: [INTEREST CHECK] BTCtournaments , 0.01BTC buy in, 8 player Minecraft tournament! on: July 23, 2013, 11:49:20 AM
What kind of tournament? Death match, survival games, hungry games, spleef, flint, are all good games I can think of that could match this model.

This could be voted on, as in MC you have indeed a lot of options.

This would be a cool idea I'd like to see come together. What do you think would be the frequency of tournaments? Daily, weekly, random? It would be also cool if the interest was there to implement larger tournaments as well. Free for all, 4v4, 2v2, Capture the Flag etc.

Also would the website dedicated to this hold stats for the games as well in real time? Would be a cool feature to have. Smiley
525  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: *** FREE 0.001 / 0.003 GIVEAWAY *** courtesy of BITSPIN.CO on: July 23, 2013, 11:32:15 AM
Question: based on the original post and the title of the thread it looks like we should get 0.001 BTC for our address and another 0.002 for our Bitspin.co username.

Is this correct? I got the 0.002 BTC in my player account yesterday but never got the other 0.001 BTC (for the address itself).

Thanks in advance.

I had received the 0.002 credit to the site and 0.001 credit into my wallet. It just took a bit longer for the 0.001 to credit. Smiley

Sounds sweet.

Thanks for the chance! Smiley

That seems like a super sketchy raffle.
528  Economy / Gambling / Re: Is it possible to "work" as a gambler and live off the profits? on: July 22, 2013, 10:15:31 AM
The key I've found is knowing when to stop. What's good about gambling online or something is you don't need to travel to a casino or something every time you want to play. So for example on Just-Dice. Get ahead 1 bitcent, or so (depending on your funds) and then stop, cash out. Come back again at a different point and try the same. It's a much slower process, but I feel the 'odds' of coming out up are much greater than sitting there and continuing on the same run.
529  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: [SOLD] (WTS) 0.5 BTC for Moneypak/paypal/bank transfer ($40) on: July 22, 2013, 04:24:02 AM
In the future, just contact me for escrow if its something small and fast of an escrow such as purchasing 5 or less BTC immediately, I'm almost always checking PMs relating to sales or looking for good flips in the currency section. Good to use escrow but also good to not waste anyone's time. Glad it worked out and good luck with future trades.

Thanks man- I appreciate the offer and will keep that in mind for the future. Smiley

I had contacted John K because I felt bad if he would have wasted his time, and offered to still pay him his 1.5% fee. He told me he was away when he received the messages so he did not waste his time on it. This made me feel better. Smiley
531  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: (WTS) 0.5 BTC for Moneypak/paypal/bank transfer ($40) on: July 21, 2013, 05:30:59 PM
Driving home now. Will complete when I get there. Thanks.

Not a problem. Payment on my end still needs to confirm. Please reply on here once you receive and send, then I shall place the rest of my orders. Pleasure doing business Smiley

I appreciate the offers everyone else has put forward. I chose to go with mstang83 because he presented his offer to me with complete transparency and escrow service. If for some reason something goes wrong with this transaction I shall contact one of you at a later point. Thanks for everything, everyone! Smiley

Maybe next time consider that once you give the ok for someone to contact an escrow service that

1) It could take some time...which I was under the impression that you were not in a rush

2) If your not ready to commit to that trade then your making me (the one who contacted John K) waste his time.

Guess I will always ask the other party to contact escrow from now.

I do apologize. I hadn't realized it took much of your time and I am truly sorry for your inconvenience. For future reference I will do my best to be as up-front as possible in these situations. I just had to go with the best option for myself for this transaction. I need the money too, so time was of some importance. :/

Not as much my time as the time of escrow person, in this case John K.

I had gotten no word back from you stating he had replied, or I would've given the word to hold off. I remember mentioning I was hesitant about it because I didn't believe he dealt with paypal and/or moneypaks. Again, my apologies, to you and to him, if he did in fact waste his time.

Don't do this.  You will be scammed.

I hope daniel was not trying to imply that I would scam you.  LOL.  "Kids these days". Barack Obama.

Unfortunately I already sold them. Sorry mate.

Paypal payment made. When received by you, please mark item received on bitmit to let escrow go.  Thanks.

Received, and money released! Placing rest of order. Thanks again Smiley

Don't do this.  You will be scammed.

Yeah, this seemed a little shady to me, however I tried my luck on the other board and had, thus far, smooth transactions. Smiley

I will be doing this transaction via bitmit as user mstang83. Thank you!

Give me a bit of time for this offer. If I can select a more reputable option then I must go with that. However, I will most likely be testing your service in the very near future with a 0.2 Smiley
540  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: (WTS) 0.5 BTC for Moneypak/paypal/bank transfer ($40) on: July 21, 2013, 03:12:55 PM
Taking my time and doing this as smart as I can for my first trade.
Sorry if I'm not quick on the responses. I need a little bit to sift through the information and select the best option.
(also I've exceeded my PM limit for the hour. hehe)
