681  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If Satoshi reveals himself, what would be of Bitcoin? on: April 04, 2017, 08:28:35 AM
I am really not sure on the impact of bitcoin price if Satoshi revels himself in the public. But I’m sure he will immediately become the most wanted person and enforcements agencies will try to put him in jail. Because Satoshi has violated one big rule and allowed normal people to have financial freedom which no government will alllow their citizens to have.

Government want to have the power to control the wealth of its citizen and bitcoin actually allowed the people to earn money without the control of the government.

That is very true, its a very important aspect of bitcoin, one of the most significant differences from the regular, fiat currency- goverment can't control it.
For sure, many people would hunt Satoshi Nakamoto just for profits, it is kind of obvious that the quantity of BTC owned by Satoshi is incredibly huge. Im pretty sure that also, many politics and law enforcement representatives would want him in their control.

You should bear in mind that Satoshi Nakamoto has to be very smart person, with good programmer skills.
He made his cryptocurrency (BTC obviously) anonymous, im sure that he knows how many people would like to get him in his own hands.
682  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who is Satoshi Nakamoto? Is he worth over $10 Billion USD today? on: April 04, 2017, 08:20:26 AM
Fictional character or not, facts remain facts.

I invite you to check this article : https://bitslog.wordpress.com/2013/04/17/the-well-deserved-fortune-of-satoshi-nakamoto/

(TL;DR : There is one entity that mined from block 1 and for quite some time that ows ~1M unspent BTC since the beginning of bitcoin. The ultimate bitcoin holder/believer  Cheesy)
You can check all this out in the blockchain.

Who mined that block ? https://blockchain.info/block/00000000839a8e6886ab5951d76f411475428afc90947ee320161bbf18eb6048
See, the 50 BTC are unspent.

This is "Satoshi Nakamoto".
Now, either he/they hold the private keys and haven't spend the BTC yet, or the coins are burnt because privkey were lost/deleted on purpose.
So far, we can't know that..

Many people seems to be terrified that Satoshi Nakamoto identity is not known, which is kind of understandable- having so many bitcoins causes that some part of BTC community is simply afraid of him.
Actually, they are not afraid of him: they are afraid of how many BTC Nakamoto owns.
However i don't expect him to cash them yet, i would sit calm and wait for better price.
And make small sell orders, not many big ones.

I love the name!

Really clever use of two words mashed together. Proves that admins have probably spent some time coming up with that name alone.

However the design on your site seems a bit lacking, especially your logo. It seems like you have got the site from a purchased script instead of developed by yourself, as it looks suspiciously like PrimeDice(correct me if I am wrong).

You should look into hiring a proper graphics designer, as the person you're hiring(if you are hiring anybody at this stage that is) isn't doing the best job possible out there. Look at Yolodice, their success is probably 90% their clean site design.

Just my 2 cents.

Working Amazon Prime Card ! https://dreamweavervcc.com/product/amazon-prime-mastercard/ (CHECKED 3th April) ! Buy before they are gone !

I was wondering if your virtual credit cards for the purpose of verifying PayPal accounts, aka the ones that you showed in the OP are still available for sale right now?

Because I'm currently in need of one of these cards. Let me know, thanks.
685  Economy / Economics / Re: Can you really make money on Forex? on: April 03, 2017, 09:06:21 AM
Anyone tried or currently trading forex is it possible to make money on it?

No not really because the phone exchange market has a lot of big players in it and if You are in experienced or new to the market then you really don't stand a chance against those experienced professional Traders.

Usually trading is a neutral sum game. However when you take into account that you are competing against these traders that have more experience than you, and that you have to pay fees on each trade you execute as well as having significantly less funding than those traders, it becomes gambling. It's a negative sum game at best. If you use leverage you will lose all your money eventually.
686  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ANY STRATEGY TO WIN IN GAMBLING? on: April 03, 2017, 07:53:17 AM
To win in gambling, play smart. Don't be greedy and be contented on your winnings. Don't expect for some big profit. If you lose, learn how to rest or stop that day to avoid losing more.

That won't win you anything, and is as good as saying nothing at all.

"Play smart". What do you mean? He's asking for a strategy, aka how to play smart. And you're telling him to play smart? That's like when someone asks you how to do a maths question and you be like "do it".

I'll tell you the truth however, there is no way that you'll beat the house in gambling.

They have the house edge in favour of them, which means you'll never win statistically speaking, in the long run.

You can always make sure that you reduce your house edge though, by following the basic startegy in blackjack if you are playing blackjack that cuts the house edge down by quite a lot. You can also try house edge rakeback sites like the one that debuni has opened.

Apart from that, unless you're playing PVP games like poker, there is no way that you can win in the long run.
687  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin, Crimes, and Terrorism on: April 03, 2017, 07:47:41 AM
Ive read any statement like this, bitcoin can be used by crimes & terrorism. But, its stillbe traceable, the people who uses bitcoin can do such things like this. Bitcoin purpose is not to do things such acts like this, its more uses on mining and sending a transactions through online.

True, but it is anonymous.

This is a myth. Bitcoin is way way more traceable than fiat bank accounts in off-shore banks.

Yes, which is why i went on to say that altcoins like Monero and Dash are probably the thing that law enforcement should be more worried about because these coins are 100% speculation + illegal usage.

I take that back though, bitcoin is only pseudo-anonymous, which means that there are addresses that can be traced publicly, but it is very very difficult for someone who doesn't have access to top secret government info to trace down these individual addresses to link them to an individual.

Anyways, thanks for pointing that out.
688  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin can break above $1,100 again? on: April 03, 2017, 07:43:25 AM
It was much easy for bitcoin to recover like this very quickly because it is king of the crypto world. I was quite sure it will gain +1100 again and bought in the range of $900 so my decision gone very profitable so it has up trend so it will go more high.

Agreed.

Bitcoin will continue to be the #1 cryptocurrency in the world probably for a long time. Which means that its price level will indicate the health of the entire cryptocurrency ecosystem as well as user engagement.

People will continue to look up to bitcoin for guidance, altcoins and users alike.

In my opinion, once this debate about block size ends, then people will start buying into bitcoin again, and bitcoin's price will climb.

$1,100 is proven to be an easy barrier to break, next stop is $1,500. Wink
689  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does experience matter in gambling? on: April 03, 2017, 07:34:51 AM
That's right that you can minimize your losses by reducing the bets but I still believe that casino games are purely luck based and not possible to develop any strategy in winning and even no experience can help you out unless you are betting on sports.

You are only half right.

Gambling is anything that has an unknown risk, or a risk that is known to be negative towards you.

So playing poker is considered gambling, playing blackjack is considered gambling.

If you play blackjack and you are experienced, you can drastically shrink the house edge towards your favour. So you stand a better chance of winning against the house than a newbie who doesn't know strategies of blackjack. If you are playing pvp poker, obviously if you are skilled then your opponent have a big chance of losing to you if they are inexperienced.

However, if it's just a dice game, sure, experience does not matter at all.
690  Economy / Speculation / Re: When do you think Bitcoin will reach $1500? on: April 03, 2017, 07:30:39 AM
well only the big whales knows when but im absolutely sure that it will reach and surpass $1500 by the end of the summer who knows many people have a lot of money and that time and maybe bitcoin will be their choice where tomake an investment at. why not encourage your friends and relatives to invest in bitcoin maybe it will be more easier to reach that price range.

I feel like that December is a good estimate on when bitcoin hits this price.

Although there is negative energy about bitcoin right now, the price is still sticking around between $1000-$1100. Once the decision made regarding the hard fork i think it is way easier for bitcoin to climb in value.

$1500 is a short term goal though.

In the long term, when fiat collapses, bitcoin will rise in value to more than $1 million even, as a result of hyperinflation.

Bitcoin is an asset that will hold your value, much like gold.
691  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin, Crimes, and Terrorism on: April 03, 2017, 07:29:00 AM

True, but it is anonymous.

People shouldn't be worried about bitcoin to be honest. Bitcoin is like cash. It is technically anonymous, but it has a traceable ledger that people can refer to to find out about transactions that one person has made.

Monero on the other hand, is designed for cyber fraud and money laundering, to be honest.

There is really no point of having anonymity beyond bitcoin's standards.

And i certainly do not think that terrorists are even aware of bitcoin yet. They would rather stick to the cash the government issues.
692  Economy / Lending / Re: Loan of 0.01 BTC on: April 03, 2017, 07:21:30 AM
Hello. I need a loan of 0.01BTC

It is to start my website. I can repay in 4-7 months with an interest of 0.0012.

I have a domain as a collateral.

Domains here are bought and sold for less than 0.01 BTC regularly. Of course it really depends on what the domain name is.

You'll find much better chance of getting a loan if you establish yourself first in the community and then asking a loan with collateral. Right now most people will think that you are like any other newbie scammer looking for free coins from stupid people.

Anyways, share your domain with us and we'll see.

And 4-7 months is just ridiculous. And your story doesn't add up. I wish i could start my website for 0.01 BTC, lol.
693  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin, Crimes, and Terrorism on: April 02, 2017, 08:56:13 AM
Bitcoin's anonymity is really a great characteristic. It enables users to use BTC in any transactions with nearly no traces. But is this really a good thing? Let us consider utilizing bitcoin in a negative way. Since bitcoin is considered currency, there is no doubt that a person that needs money will not reject bitcoin even if it involves unethical or illegal act.

Due to the anonymity of bitcoin, some uses bitcoin in a negative way [citation needed]. They can easily use bitcoin in paying others to commit crimes. They can even use bitcoin in bribery and/or money laundering. This characteristic of bitcoin are abused [citation needed] and it will never end well.

For the case of terrorism, terrorist can easily purchase weaponry from other country. With the use of transaction using bitcoin, authorities will have a hard time tracing that transaction thus, will give advantage to the side of terrorists.

This is not an impossible scenario. People can now use bitcoin in any way they want to. It's inevitable.

True, but then think about it. You could be using cash to fund terrorism as well.

It's not just bitcoin's fault that it is used for illegal activities. Otherwise you'd be also blaming the government for issuing notes that don't have tracking on them, so that money laundering and bribing and other whatevers can happen, using the government printed money.

No, it's not bitcoin's fault.

People can use cash however they want to as well, are you going to say that cash is bad too?

Think about the merits of bitcoin instead of focusing on the negatives. As a seller on the internet i know for a fact that whenever someone sends me a bitcoin payment, there is no need to worry about chargebacks. But when I accept paypal, i have to do background checks on the person to see his previous trades and whether his paypal matches with his story.

Bitcoin is completely interchangeable. 1 bitcoin from you is 1 bitcoin from someone that might not be as trustworthy.

But Paypal, it's different. Credit card payments and paypal, their value differs from the person that you receive it from, because someone you don't trust you're probabyl going to charge them higher rates in paypal or CC terms.
694  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice | Most Popular & Trusted | Huge Community | Free BTC on: April 02, 2017, 08:50:52 AM
Anyone knows what happened to pd3.co? i always see this error "404 not found".

Ask Nahtnam
Will drop him a pm, thanks!

Sorry about that. I accidentally deleted the server thinking that there was nothing on there and I unfortunately lost the code while switching computers. I am re-coding it right now, and will probably be done by the end of today.
Cool, thanks for coding it again. i hope it doesn't takes much of your time. Smiley

Hey, just finished, the site is up again. Sorry about that, I'll keep a backup next time Wink.

I've been considering getting another domain name like pdstats.co or something, what do you think?

If you find any bugs or issues with the site, feel free to PM me.

Thanks.

Pro-tip: Don't be afraid to leave commas or the `#` symbol inside the textbox for the bet id. They will be automatically removed. You can also leave commas in the url but you can't leave the `#` symbol in the url since they are reserved for http.

EDIT: Here is the link if you've never used PD3.co before: https://www.pd3.co/ and https://www.pd3.co/u/stunna and https://www.pd3.co/b/15923464203

Huis site is http://pdstats.co.nf/ and you want to get http://pdstats.co ?

I think that isn't a coincidence .. maybe just me ..

PD stats is the first name that comes to my mind at least when i want to have a site related to "Primedice's stats"...

Personally i think that this name would be much better than pd3.co... Because PD3 has been outdated by almost a year now, lol.

And I don't think that nahtnam is trying to do anything to damage the traffic to hui's site...

Try The_Bitcoin_Guru, he is willing to send first to you so no hassles.

Here is his profile: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=952962

However he does charge a 15% fee on top of the spot price, i don't think you'll be willing to accept that offer.

If i had still used Paypal, i would do this for you. Unfortunately i don't use Paypal anymore after being charged back hundreds of dollars a few years back.
696  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔶 YOLOdice.com 🔶 FAST bets, chat, NUMBER HUNT with 1 BTC prizes is LIVE on: April 02, 2017, 08:44:51 AM
Are faucets, referral commissions and promo costs all deducted from the investor profit? or is it paid from the sites cut?

It is paid from the site's cut.

If you look at all of the casinos that operate on a crowdfunding basis, then you'll see that the site's cut is split into a)promotion of the site, b)running the faucet and c)paying for server fees and hiring people etc.

It is definitely not from the investors.

Ethan could pay it himself as well.
697  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Btcjam scammed me ! on: March 30, 2017, 06:18:09 AM
Yop,
Its confirmed ,
Shitty site ,they closed without saying a word ,
I can't withdraw my 0.014 btc ,it says withdraw error ,
Tried to contact support ,same robot message every time,
Fuck you btcjam seriously I needed that money !
Anybody willing to get in contact ?so we can files a collective police case ,these identity and money stealer
Should be in jail !

BTCjam has closed all loan requests i think without any explanations.

Their platform currently isn't functional at all either, which is pretty strange for a site that has such an established reputation already. I wouldn't be surprised if it is as a result of high scam rates and people getting hacked and cashing out the hacked accounts by taking out loans, withdrawing the bitcoins, and of course, never ever paying the loan back.

Their twitter account has not been active for a while either.

Hope for the best, expect the worst to happen man.
698  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why you should buy bitcoins NOW on: March 30, 2017, 06:13:07 AM
The top line is that it is a winning strategy overall

If you sell your bitcoins today, you are likely set to lose tomorrow (by letting go a good chance to get rich really quick). On the other hand, if you buy bitcoins now, you will take an opportunity and use the FUD behind the BU split against BU itself and to your advantage by buying low. If the old Bitcoin fails, you will have the new Bitcoin in absolutely the same amount, if the new one fails, you will have the old one which thereby proves its strength, might and power. So getting rid of bitcoins would be a losing strategy while acquiring more is seemingly a winning one whatever way the events are going to unfold in the future. Just keep your bitcoins in your personal wallet so that no one could steal this opportunity from you

Exactly. People shouldn't panic just because there is a fork.

There will be a fork that fails, but then you will receive 1 Bitcoin Core Coin and 1 Bitcoin Unlimited Coin on each bitcoin you own anyways, so it shouldn't be a problem. I mean there may even be a future fork that is more accepted by everyone in the community that replaces both BC and BU, nobody knows.

The top line is that it is a winning strategy overall

You do not think that Bitcoin might make another new low after this rise? You posted this on March 26 when Bitcoin was trading around $940 - $990 and has risen after that. But it is creating another lower high and it is getting ready to go down again if we follow the pattern for this month. It would be better to watch and wait in my opinion, or make low bids to be safe

You are confusing something here

As much as I discard technical analysis as a viable way for predicting and evaluating future price behavior, I still can't help noting that just one lower high after a few consecutive higher lows mid-to-long term (basically, 250-750-550-1100-750-1300-950) doesn't tell us anything. Strictly speaking we haven't yet made a new lower high, since we barely touched the support level at 900 dollars per coin (i.e. haven't yet broken support), and right now we are mostly trading sideways. In fact, we may well yet make a new higher high in the coming weeks (that would be an ATH, obviously). Other than that, the price may go below 900 dollars (say, down to 600 dollars), but it just means that you may be buying up all the way down (personally, that's what I'm prepared to do myself)

I'm prepared to do that as well, as long as the fork hasn't happened yet Wink
699  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will happen with Bitcoin if it never scales? on: March 30, 2017, 06:09:11 AM
What do you think that might happen with Bitcoin if no scalable solution becomes accepted?

Will it remain as a store of value, while other altcoins take the lead for everyday transactions? Or will another cryptocurrency take its place as the top in marketcap?

I would like to know your thoughts about this, as the ongoing scaling debate will further limit Bitcoin from reaching new heights. As for me, I believe that the Bitcoin community would come up at a resolution somehow to put an end to this issue, and make the pioneer cryptocurrency great again. What do you think?  Smiley

I don't think that it'll necessarily affect bitcoin's status as a store of value.

The reasoning behind this is that you don't need something to be a functional currency to be a store of value. For example gold and silver, are they divisible? No. Are they interchangeable? Not really, as you have to go to such trouble to verify each bar's purity.

But yet, mankind still perceives gold and silver as the ultimate store of value.

The same with bitcoin in my opinion, even if it doesn't scale, it'll be digital gold.
700  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: fortunejack steals players deposit and .5btc of winnings for made up reason on: March 30, 2017, 06:01:51 AM
Fortunejack, you know very well that people never read the terms and services.

When people use bitcoin to gamble there is only one reason. To be anonymous. And when you are anonymous that means you are able to register as many accounst as you want to wwithout having to be limited.

Now, whats the point of your rule of no multi accounting anyways? You guys aren't a sportsbook. All your games are -EV and you should be happy that people are using multiple accounts to bet as that generates more volume for you guys. Does Just-Dice or primedice prosecute people for having multiple accounts? Absolutely not.
