Since March 2020 because of Covid-19 the pandemic has reduced the taxi trade in UK by 80%+.
The taxi operations in Swansea and Cardiff were suspended.
Cardiff taxi service forecast to open October 28th depends on Covid-19 situation as Rhondda Cynon Taff and Caerphilly are on lockdown as from this week so Cardiff and surrounding areas are very very quiet.
Reward tokens are being coded into the Flutter App so that drivers and riders can be rewarded for being part of Cabra.
Uber application for licence in London decision not made yet by Transport for London, our Private Hire Operators Lice application should be approved early 2022 after Covid-19 situation improves.

I along with designer would work closely with taxi drivers to determine what new features should be included in the app how the pricing should be structured and even the best way to message the drivers, the Flutter app is now working in test mode in Swansea and will be rolled out in Cardiff soon. Uber lost their appeal against Employment Tribunal Ruling in London this week, their 3rd attempt and now they are likely to appeal at Supreme Court.
Drivers were classified as workers and not self employed so Uber have to pay drivers min wage for London, holiday pay, sick pay etc amounting to millions of pounds. The Uber business model is now broken as they have all these extra costs.
Blockchain Cabs start operating in Swansea in January as a private hire operator and first taxi bookings should start the last week of January with a first year turnover of £1 million targeted with £200,000 net profit.
The android and IOS apps are nearly finished and will be tested January. Technology used in the business include react native ( we own the apps and do not rely on a third party) php, mysql, javascript, firebase.
