I have 2FA activated and had my account hacked into. Lost all my 0.099 bitcoin. Is there anything that can be done to verify? To track? To investigate what may have happened?

Hi your website was approximately 1 hour off. Can you give information about the subject.
Power issue at the hosting facility took a number of our servers down. I'm not sure if it is entirely resolved yet. It seems to be stable now. All active Reward Point bonuses have been extended by 6 hours and this weekend we will run 5x Reward Point bonus instead of 2x. No interest credited yesterday, 12nov and 14nov were credited but 13 is missing (probably the issue on servers is the cause). Can you pls check? I'm not the only one, i know at least 6 people with this issue. It was credited to your balance but it was late and the display on the Earn BTC page is only programmed to show one entry a day so it cannot show that 2 payments have been made on the 14th.

Jeeeez. This kind of comment wording is assuming the devs did not ask them to update the wallet. This also intrinsically points to the assumption that the devs have godly power over 3rd parties such as exchanges, etc. So, what if the devs did repeatedly ask HitBTC (and MinerGate for that matter) to update to the new blockchain and HitBTC/MG chose to ignore the request for whatever reason? Did that cross your mind? So, people, please stop asking devs to fix issues that are are not theirs to fix and rather go to where the issue really lies. Have problems with HitBTC? SO GO THERE. Water is wet you know? Disclosure: I also lost some XDN with MinerGate due to them being on the old blockchain when I sent the funds to a wallet that was already on the new. |

I moved my XDN workers away from Minersgate due to their current lack of support and I must say that the mining in one of the other pools is coming along very very nicely. When I compare what the Minergate calculator says vs what the calculator says in one of the pools I moved to and now what actually came into my wallet, I must admit that at the moment I am happy that I made the change!
Calculators based on current 750 h/s:
Minergate: 5.86161 XDN per day
"New" pool: 223.28 XDN per day
Approx. 12 hours since moving to new pool: Total Paid: 196.30 XDN
Yep.. all good. Thank you.
PS: Me wonders if Minergate will get their act together and support an ASIC resistant fork.

Minergate will update today but it looks like they haven't "flipped the switch" yet to the new PoW on their poolside front end.
Can you confirm if Minergate have "flipped the switch" yet? Thank you. DigitalNote must refork because although the post-fork difficulty was hardcoded to be lower to allow for GPU miners it was still too high. This happened because we estimated the difficulty with the understanding that Minergate would support the fork. They pulled a fast one on us yesterday and told us that they would not be supporting it even though they said that they were previously (all the way up to fork date!). This caused our estimated post-fork difficulty to be much too high for the actual hashrate, effectively stalling the chain. We are still in talks with Minergate so they may change their mind but in the meantime the dev team has decided to refork with a lower difficulty to keep the chain moving. It's a very simple change (although very important) and all funds are safe etc. The exact refork height is now block #669369 which is in less than 24 hours. We have sent the new code and binaries to all exchanges, pools and wallet services. Please download the new core below and support the coin by mining it when we fork. The difficulty will be fairly low post-fork until it adjusts upward so it should be very fruitful for GPU miners. You must update or you will be on the wrong stalled network. Thank you for understanding. Beware if you mine on Minergate because you are not on the real chain anymore but rather the old one that is able to be manipulated and exploited (until further notice).It is very important that you update to GUI v1.0.15c or CLI v5.0.2 to ensure that you are on the correct network. Hi I have a problem. my BCNs are on minergate, I was tried to sync my wallet and when I type refresh it says something like refresh failed, deamon is busy : Please try again later. How can I fix this ?
Do you have the most recent wallet installed? If you have a desktop wallet then issues with wallet syncing have nothing to do with where your mining pool is at. |

Hello,
Have submitted a support ticket a few days ago but so far no response therefore am posting here in the hopes that someone could advise.
Since moving to wallet versions 3.x.x, am having continuous difficulties synchronizing the Bytecoin GUI wallet to the blockchain. I repeatedly get the error popup window as follows: "Walletd just crashed. Process crashed. Return code -1073741818"
Am running latest wallet Bytecoin GUI version 3.1.1 and have even deleted my local blockchain copy and started syncing anew in case the block files were possibly corrupt. Apparently not...
Have been trying to synchronize for over a week now. Anyone else having similar issues and successfully resolved them?

PS: Wish I could just download the full blockchain somewhere as was possible in the past. But seems the older sources are no longer applicable.
i have deleted this crappy and buggy desktop wallet and rather keep my bytecoins in the exchange. first of all it's very buggy and not so user friendly and the other thing that made me delete it was the huge amount of gb it needs on your hard disk (25gb!). but what you do with it is your own decision. Thanks. I agree with your listing of the disadvantages of having the local wallet installed but even so, my personal opinion and preference is to have the coins locally than run the risk of losing them on exchanges. |

That's really the whole point of what we are doing. Those that do deposit and play fund everything we give away to those that don't. We think it is fairer that they get a bigger share of the rewards. Am merely providing my opinion and feedback. But some increased transparency in this matter would be much appreciated. Thank you.
It's a very dynamic thing, we have to monitor how much we giveaway and make sure it is less than we have coming in. I'm not sure how much more transparent we could be. I understand the whole point and agree that it is only fair to give those that actually deposit their own funds more of the rewards. I only wish that specific levels that trigger certain constraints could be clearly specified and thus add to transparency... But sometimes wishes are just that: wishes. I suppose with how dynamic things may be, one can not go out and provide specific numbers and thresholds. Understandable. Remains for me to shrug and accept that it is what it is. :-) |

I have another problem: My reward points are 6412 Got this message when I redeem the 100 REWARD POINTS / ROLL Sorry, you are not eligible to redeem this bonus, please pick a smaller one. Play MULTIPLY BTC and buy lottery tickets to be eligible to redeem larger bonuses. I have enough points?! I don't understand this  USER ID 13204204 You have to wager BTC on Multiply BTC game or on lottery tickets. It's a way to prevent abusers from just collecting bitcoins or playing with very small amounts. I have the same happening to me and do not appreciate being implied as an abuser when am merely using some options and features the system offers whilst choosing not to use others. Now suddenly am "forced" to use features I chose not to use without it being clear as to why and what is necessary for me to get back to the level I was when I could freely redeem 100 or 50 reward points/roll. Having a vague threshold to get back to a level one was used to without knowing before hand that they risk falling below said level is not comfortable. Would have been better knowing before hand what the rules are... (have not found anything explicitly stating conditions in the FAQ or elsewhere) Nevertheless, since the faucet provides a free service and I have not deposited any of my own funds, who am I to really complain?
