What block size do you use?
Will the wallet autocombine blocks or is this all manual?
Happy staking!

485  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Looking for Altcoin that has both Shares and Coins [0.05 BTC Reward] on: February 11, 2015, 04:28:44 AM
Couloured coins??
like opal and some others, or i got it all wrong?
or a normal "pos" coin with asset backing of coulorued coins.
Would like to know myself, we are playing with the idea of creating a bank coin either asset backed from couloured coins.
Yes, we know 100btc portifolio wont be big enough, so if any others are playing with same idea, shoot me a pm!

Happy Staking/Trading

How do you guys keep your blocks under 500??
All my blocks autocombine to 1100-1300 each block?
Is there a rpc comand to change wanted block size for staking?
Thnx for free xai, and happy staking!
487  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Diamond (DMD) Evolution v 2.0 | NEW wallet, 50% POS Active on: December 30, 2014, 04:52:22 PM
So it seems that the website for http://dmdpool.digsys.bg/ is down but it appears the mining pool is working. Anyone know any more information about this? Also a few more questions and comments. I did a getinfo, and saw that the difficulty at this moment is: about 242. Im very familiar with sha-256 difficulty rating , and know anything over 1 mil is pretty high, I know scrypt diff over 100 is quite high. Diamond has its own special algo. Is 242 considered a high diif rating? Also I was really surprised and amazed when the coin supply is only about 700,000!?! Is this correct?! I mean this is a senior coin, I would have expected about 20 million! If there really are under 1 million dmd's oujt there, my hats off to you sir, THAT is truly amazing!!!

Vegas
You are corect on coin suply, and pow reward is cut from 1dmd to 0.1 dmd when we hit 1mill coins...
My precious Diamonds... Cool
Happy staking!
488  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SuperCoin Takeover by Trusted-Cryptos Team [Griffith] on: December 21, 2014, 09:36:11 PM

Griffith, may I make a feature request please?

Can we have SuperCoin-Qt modified to consolidate stake fragments. At present inputs are constantly fragmented, resulting in ever larger transactions. I haven't been through any of the code but it appears that MultiWalletCoin-Qt does this consolidation, Super and ECC do not.

People unfamiliar with staking wallets are likely to end up with wallets full of dust and enormous transactions for moderate purchases because they will not know to periodically manually select all inputs and transfer the funds to a different address.

I think this should be a first-order fix, others may not agree.

Regards from the land down-under.

future requests are always welcome and encouraged.

as for your request, we will look into this and post a reply on the matter within 48 hours. i have to talk to MDT first so we are on the same page with the next step.

i am actually going to throw up a section of the TC website that will have what i am currently planning on doing when on it. (basically an activity log) so people can follow. this will be for requests like such and for people to more closely follow dev (if they want). but i will post more on that later.

EDIT: we dont believe that MWC does this either. however we will be implementing a fix for this in the future. i can probably code one up really quick by editing the way the stake is confirmed and generated... shouldnt take too long. but thank you for the feature request. it will get added soon
Make the wallet auto combine blocks that took more than 24-48hours to stake.
That should solve the dust problem, and "optimise" staking for beginners/not active stakers.
Thoughts on this?
I know i wont be selling any coins before pos reward halves next year, glad i did not sell any during "devless" time!  Wink
Happy staking
489  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ANN: [OPAL] | SuperNET | MOBILE MESSAGING | OPAL DRIVE | HTML5 WALLET on: December 16, 2014, 12:35:21 PM
To those who were robbed, was your wallets encrypted?
Was only opal the target, or you lost other wallets too?
To the dev team, is it possible to integrate updates inwallet?
So wallet notify you about update, and either does it automatic or show the corect download link.
Not sure a rollback will do any good atm...
490  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Maieuticoin | HARDWARE | 2014% PoS | World's Highest Staking Percentage | on: December 14, 2014, 04:06:34 PM
That did it. But there will be no getting back the lost 12 days of staking...

Thanks, Now if you just can stop with the insults, lies, and accusations.
You cant lose any coins, if they are on block explorer, they also is in your wallet.
If you have been staking on a different chain, your staked inputs will be unvalid on corect chain but your coin age will be higher so when you start staking on corect chain, you will have bigger stakes.
Did you upgrade before or after block 80k?
If after, you might been on another chain and that is why your stakes ar missing.

he is right no coins lost if on chain it store by address and key for network
Again, I was and have been using 1.0.8 since before block 80k. No issue there.
What I was talking about was that the coins won't stake if the wallet can't synch to the network right? And since my wallet wasn't able to synch for about 12 days, it wasn't staking right? So whatever coins I could have earned in 12 days are indeed lost.
Corect, if you cant sync you cant stake.
But you havent lost anything, when you get synced you will get stake for all other days not staking.
Hope this makes it more clear.
happy staking!

Forgive me if asked before, I own a fair amount of $XQN, nice staking coin, great wallet. There is a snapshot Bitshares style for $XAI? I was not a part of any ICO here, but I will get some $XAI for holding $XQN, or how does that work?
Yes it will be a snapshot, its called ABACUS program and will happen 1 week after the crowdfund stopped.
Happy staking!

Is my wallet suppose to be staking now? It's says it's up to date but it just stays on block 80k.. is anyone having the same issue?
Yes, that's what Ive been complaining about, but no one cares.
Did you update your wallets before block 80k?
We had a fork on block 80k, thats when the 2014% pos reward started.
I have newest wallet, and stakes just perfect.
Happy staking!

How long does it take to have mature coins? I updated a week ago and it's still not staking.. wallet is unlocked and half the time it says it's up to date the other half it just stays on block 80035... it also says I have 1 active connection which seems wrong. Any ideas people?
Something must be wrong for sure.
Try to delete everything in roaming folder, exept wallet.dat and start wallet again.
Backup wallet before doing this.
Download newest wallet, just to be sure you got the right one.
This should bring you back to staking.
happy staking!

Is is normal for the wallet to go from showing mature coins to showing no mature coins many time in the span of a minute or two? Wallet says up to day 89374 blocks downloaded but still only 1 active connection
If you are refering to the green/grey arrow, it is not acurate at all, you will stake even if arrow is grey and sais no mature coins.
1 conection sounds wrong.
Did you update to newest wallet?
Did you re-sync it?

wallet v1.0.8.0-unk-beta but only 1 connection.. what is the command to resync?
I have 8 conections now.
No comand for resync, just delete everything in appdata/ roaming folder, and start wallet again, then it wil resync from scratch.
Backup wallet.dat first.
Can yo send coins now? try to send a small amount to yourself.

may I spend a couple words on the algo: history says every algo can be "broken" (using fpga or asic), so why change it again and go thru all the hassle of forks and wallet updates? in the end what matters is coin stability and hashrate distribution which don't necesarily go worse with asic or fpga; btw cpu/gpu mining is over for most of us anyway.
unless there is some crypto breaktru I'd stay with groestl.

This is especially true if in another 6-8 months block rewards are going to drop to .1 then there is no point to switch algos?  The mining will be negligible and most of the network support would come from the wallets minting correct?  Just wondering if it makes sense overall.  In 6-8 months asics/fpgas can point here all they want if you are only getting .1 dmd per block it is probably not worth it for them.  Maybe I misunderstand something but just my thoughts before coffee. :-)

hybrid security is a core concept of DMD Diamond
which mean there is at least 2 ways of generating blocks
we will keep that feature

POS will stay for sure

but its not a law written in stone which way will be the second way to generate  coins
keep actual algo for pow
or switch algo
or expand to multiple pow algos
or even no pow algo and instead another coingenerating way
What about neo-scrypt for pow?
Or merge mining.

As I said I'm running 1.0.8-unk-beta. Is that the latest?
1.0.8 is latest, i downloaded from first post in this thread before the fork happend.
