How are the bulls missing every chance they get lately? Huh
42  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 02, 2018, 05:51:58 PM

WTF? I wish I could un-see that.

And what's with the background? Dancing honey badgers and Amanita Muscaria?

Thank gawd Bitcoiners aren't all geeks like Ethereum nerds seem to be.

Then again, don't some Russian monks drink each other's Amanita urine to catch a buzz?

I think I'll stick to good ol' ethanol and cannabinoids, thank you.
It is from the blockchain summit.
Here is a scan of the background in the last pic (added to original post).

Nothing different from when windows 95 launch was a party. Wink

Hello there XDNA community.  Just saying hi and that I like this project.  I mined for just a few days to grab a few shared Masternode seats from Pickaxe.  Will consider mining more once my number 1 coin makes the switch to POS/MN here in just a couple weeks.  Watching project closely.

POS/MN ?
it will happen many years later...

I think he is referring to another coin and not this one.

44  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 02, 2018, 04:27:23 PM
Good morning Bitcoinland.

Still going sideways... currently $6547USD/$8392CAD (Bitcoinaverage).

C'mon Bitcoin. I was hoping for a price rise before I have to sell a coin or 2 in about a month to pay for my dental implants.

...assuming the next few years are going to be a down-sloping shit-show...

I wouldn't make that assumption.
_____

Sorry to hear you're still bummed out. Hope you're feeling more positive soon.

I liked you better when you were having fun. Your statuette-making phase was a hoot.

Vitalik dancing in Toronto.  Cheesy

Can see Etc becoming very successful with the latest news related to it.
It is a main stay for everyone involved in cryptocurrency. and has been since it's inception. Grin

Really interesting algorithm I haven't heard of before coming to this topic thread about it.
If more people knew about it paying $1 per day for a 1080ti I think more people would be interested in mining this instead of keeping on mining Eth for sure! Wink
48  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BTC is all green. Can we make it gain more? on: September 29, 2018, 10:18:38 PM
I am thinking this price of $6500 is where it will stay until the end of the year.
Cause nothing happened this year to have it go up to $10,000 price like late last year.

This is a healthy price for bitcoin to be at.
49  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTS QTY350 AMD RX580 RX570 4-8GB GRAPHIC CARDS on: September 29, 2018, 08:48:05 AM
Seller did not mention if he would be willing to ship these high quantity of cards outside the U.S or not.
Cause as far as I can tell sending them to the U.K would cost a lot for even two of these comparing the price of shipping on ebay just for one.

Did you complete the deal in the discuss on this thread with Furyboy?
And if so did he take all 100 pcs of the Inno3d cards or only the 90 which said he would prefer?
51  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [GUIDE] [MINING POOL] How to setup own Mining Pool step by step on: September 29, 2018, 08:35:53 AM
This is not a pool.

It looks like an advertisement for an alt coin called geekcash and how to setup a masternode for it. Undecided

Put it in the proper section and not here.
52  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: Hive OS pool on: September 27, 2018, 03:32:06 PM
Didn't even know hiveos had their own pool.
Funny, I just install hive os on my rig after windows bluescreen and gave a config error upon start up. Wink

But does it have a us server to connect too?
I only see eu on the page.

55  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][POOL] Happypool.cc would like some testers on: September 25, 2018, 08:05:40 PM
Unfortunately many pools advertised here are scams and once they get your hashing power they will not pay you out.

Deal with care with what pools you choose to use. Undecided

BTC Just broke the 200 EMA.
Lets see what it can do.
The bulls are pushing hard to keep it up but the money will run out. Embarrassed
57  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: I just got a lot of crypto-mining hardware as a payment. Where do I sell it all? on: September 24, 2018, 02:24:29 PM
I sold a few GPUs recently on eBay and fucking PayPal held my money after confirmed delivery (and positive feedback) for 10+ days because they said "there was a lot of fradulent activity" in the graphics card market,  so I had to just wait for them to "release" my money in my account.  After a chat with eBay  support - the funds were released.
Never sell this sort of equipment on ebay. They always side in the buyers favor. Those who are buying can play and say they did not receive the item and usually ebay&paypal will hold the money until they investigate has concluded and most of the time they believe the buyer who can just say they didn't receive anything. Then they have your graphics cards and their money back after just waiting 10+ days.
That is a messed up system they have their with ebay acting as "escrow".

Might as well put them up on the marketplace board here and let the devoted miners here pick what they need so to keep the mining community alive.
Here is the computer hardware/mining equipment thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=75.0
58  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Best CPU Mineable Coins in 2018 and CPU Mining Guides on: September 23, 2018, 03:00:55 PM
XDAG looks promising as people are mining on VPS and making good profit using cloud resources.
59  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: The first Worldwide XDAG pool on: September 23, 2018, 02:58:46 PM
Interesting since this is gpu&cpu mineable.
So it might be an alternative for mining coins using both resources on your system for alittle additional profit.

Just in case it helps someone else... I have found the "Bitcoin Ticker Widget" app for MAC pretty useful for tracking the price in this slow market where I almost do no trading anymore and don't have bitcoinwisdom tab permanently opened. That way I can go on with my life and still check the price in a peek the same way I would almost unconsciously check time (it is displayed in the same bar).

It is available on the App store and it is just a status ticker app so it should be reasonably audited. DYOR.

P.S.: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/bitcoin-ticker-widget/id998255317?mt=12
Nice non-obtrusive style ticker.
Now we just need one of those for android. Smiley
