361  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BOUNTY PAYMENT MATTERS on: March 03, 2020, 12:52:49 PM
Definitely someone needs to come up with a escrow for each and every ico for the airdrop and bounty promised. To be fair I think there can be de centralised escrow service for all ico that are being conducted. That would be an awesome way to give trust on the project and also the bounty hunters.
362  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Collective DEX Volume is Starting to Outperform Some Major Exchanges on: March 03, 2020, 12:37:55 PM
That's a really promising in the path to decentralization. I remember an initial decentralized exchange although I don't remember the name was good during the 2017 run. But the main problem with it was that there will be tokens with similar name which will.be really confusing for beginners to deal with .
363  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Guys, be aware of a new scam! Stay safe with your funds! on: March 02, 2020, 03:00:05 PM
Lol if someone cannot identify that this is a scam outright then he isn't good enough to invest in any form on his own. I would suggest him to get a financial advisor .

I get that people fell for this scam during the early bull run because crypto was relatively new but falling for it now is pure idiocy.
364  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency will not replace fiat currency on: March 02, 2020, 02:56:40 PM
As much as I support crypto currency or digital currency I don't see that happening in the next 10 years in a large scale . Although there are reports that China is preparing it own version of currency called DC/EP it will be centralised and controlled. I don't see decentralized currency replacing Fiat.
365  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shit bounties are getting attention and hype! Stop doing these bounties! on: March 02, 2020, 02:54:41 PM
I understand where you are coming from . It's not right to advertise for shit projects but it's really difficult sometime to identify bad projects which do bounties. I remember there was a bounty or airdrop for ethereum hard fork called something like eth 2.0 , turned out to be a scam.
366  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: VPNs using Blockchain Technology on: March 01, 2020, 01:12:00 PM
For long, Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) have been a viable solution for preserving one's privacy and anonymity. In today's world, there are many VPN services which rely on a middleman (or a central operator) that could be paid with Fiat or crypto. But what if we'd eliminate the middleman from the system, and bring a self-autonomous VPN service to the world using Blockchain technology? In this model, people would pay for a VPN service that will last for "x" amount of days using a crypto of their choice. Everything will be settled on-chain in a completely decentralized way. Node operators would serve as "gateways" that would constitute the whole VPN.

So far, I'm aware of two Blockchain-based VPN services (Mysterium and Tachyon Protocol) which aim to further decentralize the Internet by eliminating the need to rely on a middleman or third parties for complete privacy/anonymity. But compared with traditional VPN service providers, Blockchain-based VPN services are a "needle in a haystack".

Do you think that VPNs using Blockchain technology are worth it? Is it still too early too tell? Do you happen to know about other alternatives to Mysterium or Tachyon Protocol within the Blockchain industry? What are your thoughts? Huh

Hmm. An interesting take on using block chain technology for  VPN . The usage of VPN'S are getting increased everyday with the millineals preferring to stay anonymous. But there have also been cases of VPN servers getting hacked or having backdoor and getting exploited. If block chain is getting used in VPN , it might get famous.
367  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Resist all temptation to fomo on: March 01, 2020, 01:07:11 PM
Im sure we are all aware what fomo means.

Bitcoin has indeed ran a good race to over 10 000$ and it has pushed up the prices of altcoins simultaneously

Do a proper root research before getting into altcoins, resist all temptation to fomo.

Because when btc moons, the dead alts can rise momentarily only

NB, FOMO is not a good feeling during the bulls

Well while it seems obvious that the fomo should be avoided while selecting the coins or projects to invest in it hard to resist the temptation . I am speaking this from experience and it makes you regret the decision you make. It's better to make a complete research and the project members before investing.
368  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can ETH reach $5k in this up cycle ? on: March 01, 2020, 01:02:27 PM
What do you guys think ? I discuss some reasons why it might here : https://youtu.be/8Rg-CM2s7Q0

The possibility of ethereum reaching 5 thousand doesn't seem likely within the next two years.  I mean even during the massive bull it didn't reach 2k and with what seems to be everlasting crypto winter and even Bitcoin struggling I don't see it happening in the near future. I think most would be happy to see 500$ again.
369  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Celebrities advertise scam ICO again on: February 29, 2020, 11:20:15 AM
SEC fined Steven Seagal for advertising ICO. The actor did not disclose information about the funds received for the promotion of the project, which could mislead investors, the Commission explained.

Since the ICO, the price of the Bitcoiin2Gen token advertised by Segal has fallen by 99%.

do you think celebrities know that they advertise scam projects or they just don’t understand what they are doing? I think this is a big problem for the market

What else do you expect from celebrities aka movie stars . They are just after money like anyone else . Although  It's human psychology to fall for such things we must always research before investing. This remind me of a project which had Ryan Remolds pic as a team member and people invested in the ico .

370  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I am fed up with scammers and newbies. on: February 29, 2020, 11:17:12 AM
Last week, I found an airdrop project in Telegram called Marco Protocol, the airdrop looked decent at the first stage, I earned 200 MAPC tokens and that was instant! But you only can withdraw from your MAP wallet when Airdrop program will end, that's good, I am okay with it. Their airdrop tweet got 8K retweet and 9K likes, so, you can understand how hype it had!
But yesterday, they announced they are going to sell Bitcoin at a 50% discount to celebrate the halving. Can you imagine? 1 Bitcoin price is 8600 USD, people can buy by 4300$! I believe This is absolutely scam but many newbies already have fallen for that! As they saw MAPC has huge support in twitter, and they listed on CMC too.

50% off announcement: https://t.me/MAP_POB_channel/87

Honestly I have stopped doing airdrop now . No good projects do airdrop and even if some legitimate projects do it is for pennies . Well about the half price discount how can they fall for such a scam ? People expect to make free money . They must understand that if something is too good then it probably is fake
371  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coins listed on Binance through the community coin vote show 24% price decrease on: February 29, 2020, 11:13:44 AM
Coins listed on Binance through the community coin vote show a price decrease of an average 24% after 7 days
https://xangle.io/project/MBL/disclosures/5e53368aaa40c06ddf417e9f

Coins listed on Binance through the community coin vote had the highest earnings on the day of the announcement – after listing, token prices showed a tendency to decline. This shows the ‘Sell on News’ effect where price increases before official announcement and decreases after.
This analysis was conducted to investigate the effect of voting on listing, which is becoming a trend among exchanges.

According to crypto disclosure platform Xangle, MovieBloc announced that it was listed on Binance after a coin vote on the 21st. Six days after the listing, Moviebloc was down 41%.

Six coins, NKN, ARPA, CTXC, VITE, DREP, and MovieBloc, have been successfully listed on Binance through the coin vote.

The average price increase rate of the six coins on the day of the voting announcement was 60.08% higher compared to 24 hours ago. On the day of listing, the price fell 7.45%; after 7 days, it decreased by 24.07%. NKN was the only coin that showed a price increase.

That's not a encouraging statistics to look at on the outside . But the positive side is that atleast coins are getting listed in the exchange so that investor in the projects can get out with a bit of money if they want instead of getting locked for a long time and the project eventually running out of funds.
372  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Project's website is asking private keys of the holders. on: February 27, 2020, 09:30:16 AM
I pity the investor who fell for this scam of a project. I would have understood of some newbies fell for it when crypto currency bwas new and they didn't know what private key was  but by now everyone should know that it is like sharing your internet banking password. Hope they get caught and brought to justice.
373  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good or bad plan? on: February 27, 2020, 09:26:07 AM
The entire world is worried about a possible pandemic breaking out beacuse if the coronavirus situation and so every possible market is losing money as investor are pulling the money out
Just look at the  NASDAQ and any other exchange . Things will be fine again after the panic is over.
374  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Has Blockchain Technology revolution is successful or not? on: February 26, 2020, 12:29:49 PM
We are still not at a stage where we can either say block chain has been successful or not . We are still in the early adoption days where the technology is evolving and industries are looking for ways to use block chain technology. I have a feeling that it will take another 5 years to see a level of adoption in industry.
375  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't just hold your altcoins for a long time! on: February 26, 2020, 12:27:35 PM
Here comes the age old debate between the main coins (btc, eth) and the altcoins. I think we will reach a stage where altcoins which have enterprise and real world adoption will take off. Of course they will not give you gains like the early Bitcoin days but I think you still have a decent chance of making money.
376  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: HBAR price up 6x in 1 day on: February 25, 2020, 11:18:28 AM
To anybody who is after to make quick money in short time be aware that there are lot of pump and dump schemes and small coins with low volume are easily vulnerable to these type of schemes. Especially when a coin has gone up 6x in a day stay away from it regardless of if it's pnd or not
377  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WINNING THE GAME AGAINST BAD PROJECTS on: February 25, 2020, 11:15:51 AM
It depends on the risk appetite of the investor . If you are willing to lose a amount of money and you can live with it without regret then go ahead identify some ico or ieo projects and put the money in them but also invest some in safe bets . But without risks don't expect  huge returns like early days .
378  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What happens when everybody buys the bottom ??? on: February 25, 2020, 11:13:32 AM
Obviously there is a common tendency among New comers to buy at the bottom hoping that it will go up in price but catching a falling knife as it's called is rarely a good thing to do . I mean if you believe that there was some mistake and the team.will rectify the mistake then take a gamble after doing your research.
379  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Too scared to go for altcoins? on: February 22, 2020, 10:15:34 AM
Going for altcoins is a risky proposition for a new investor entering the crypto market due to the sheer amount of altcoins present in the market and also the new ones which seems to be keep appearing almost everyday. Add to the fact that most altcoins aren't listed in standard exchanges makes it tougher to buy them and also mistake prone.
380  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can Binance beat Ethereum on: February 22, 2020, 10:12:16 AM
Binance definitely gained fame due  to early runner advantage and it has kept adopting well to keep it's coin and the exchange going. Even during the troubled times in crypto market that we are having now binance exchange has been maintaining most of the crypto volume. With integration of binance coin to it's various services I think binance coin has a great Future.
