You are right, the merit system doesn't work very well now, because people don't know how it works. And they won't distribute their merits to someone else easily. It is really difficult now to pass to the next rank.

They did this system to stop the spamming. Before you would pass at the next rank if you wrote a certain amount of comments.

Now, it is people who decide to whom they are giving their merits. You have to create/write a useful things that a person didn't knew/hear about

And they might give you a merit if they want and if they have enough smerit. Everyone i think have 5 smerit to give. And you get 2 smerit if someone give you one merit if i have understand it.

Did someone succeed to pass to the next rank after they put the merit system? It would be nice to have a list of person passing to the next rank. As it is now so difficult to pass to the next rank.

I don't think it is the lack of knowledge that is preventing giving out merits , it's just that most of the people don't want to give out merits and increase the rank of other people . Perhaps they should look at the rule and redesign it like of they don't give out merit ,their current merits will decrease
863  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I have 12 Bitcoin. What should I do??? on: March 17, 2018, 08:53:57 PM
As the basic with any investment take out some profit when it's high .I hope you did take out some when it was near 20k dollars and put it back into Bitcoin today at 8000 dollar . Smiley
864  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Invest now or wait? on: March 17, 2018, 08:48:53 PM
Personally I think this is one of the better times to invest with Bitcoin hovering below 8000 dollars.there is strong resistance for Bitcoin around 7400 dollars so you should be fine
865  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Future of altcoins without Bitcoin on: March 17, 2018, 08:34:46 PM
It's a interesting topic of conversation , while it's true that not all things last forever , Bitcoin has a huge community and following and social media news so that whenever it dips Everything  dips. For now it isn't possible that Bitcoin will disappear as it.is the best store of value coin
866  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 10 BILLION USD of Ripple moved and ready to be dumped? on: March 17, 2018, 08:29:14 PM
Or may be they are moving  ripple  so that they can send.it over to some big established customer like a central bank .I am.not saying this is the case , but why so much FUd

For me I am completely betting on low money coins which could be hidden gems .I think IOST could be one of them .It is pretty cheap still and it's already on Binance. If you are for ICO , have a look at dragon ico

871  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Google too closing crypto ads on: March 13, 2018, 05:35:14 PM
It is possible that google is banning phishing websites. There are too many reports on this. So it is good that google is protecting the users.
I hope that this is the  case and it isn't a blanket ban on Crypto currency like being talked about. The phishing websites misusing the users resources and mining cryptocurrencies should be brought down someway.
I am all in for that
872  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum: Good alt or stay away? on: March 13, 2018, 05:32:51 PM
As long as the etherium community stays together , continues to evolve and solves the problem faced, you don't have to be straight of it .But also keep it  mind that nothing stays forever
873  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: is ETH 'too big to fail'? on: March 12, 2018, 02:57:12 AM
There is nothing guranteed here in this world .Why do you think there's a saying "Change is unchangeable". That being said if they keep evolving then they should be fine .
874  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: WHAT IS HYCON on: March 12, 2018, 02:55:12 AM
Apparently it.is supposed to be a big runner of an ico and it has already raised a large amount of.money through private sales. I am.not sure about the teachnical detaisl but I believe the team are from South Korea
875  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you even read whitepaper bro? on: March 12, 2018, 02:51:40 AM
Let be real. How many of you guys actually read the whitepaper? I read whitepaper sometimes, but reading multiple of them can be a burden and a headache. Do you guys got any tips on getting through whitepaper a little faster. It killing a lot of time. Thank.
It is one of first things you are supposed to do when you are thinking about investing in an ICO, that along with verifying the team .If you're too lazy to do that ,then ICO's are a way to lose your money .
876  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NEX ICO & YOUR OPINION on: March 10, 2018, 02:59:05 PM
I was following this project nas well.To my knowledge there isn't any good decentralized exchanges for Neo tokens now. With icos on neo platform picking up , I think this token would do good
877  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Long term vs. Short term on: March 10, 2018, 01:51:34 PM
In my opinion, Long term= can be very profitable but needs a lot of patience, while Short term= tends to be very risky and stressful if you are not well equipped on when to properly trade.
I am yet to see if my long term investment startegy can ve helpful but one thing I can agree is that trading can be very stressful if you aren't an experienced trader or have bots . Yes it's difficult to compete with the bots
878  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: altcoins for 2-3 years holding! on: March 10, 2018, 01:38:19 PM
Finally a sensible post asking for altcoins for long term hold . I am going to hold the following coins
Cardano - a new kind of Blockchain which can have a big future
Ripple - well I expect a major number of banks will be using this for cross country payments
879  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I am so stressful with trading coins, I lost 13000$ on: March 10, 2018, 01:34:25 PM
I'm so stupid when attending crypto currency, who can help me to get money back? I also ask many traders who has experiences in this one, but I still lost money
I have tried doing trading in traditional stock market as well tried to do a bit in cryptocurrencies .It all starter very well when water a small amount but soon the loss I got trying to trade was much higher .In the end you have to realise some people aren't very good at trading
880  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Invest or bounty? on: March 10, 2018, 01:31:40 PM
I am trying to do both but with the amount of ICO's that are going on in today's market it's really getting tremendously difficult and time consuming for checking the ICO's and even time consuming for checking bounties .
