That partnership news is just beginning i think. We'll see more while project is developing.. They really need partnerships without them this project wouldn't make sense. I hope they will have more partnerships in the future, preferably like those potential end users of the platform such as business entities, etc. Whats the difference between partnerships and customer relation? If they got lots of partnership at the moment they woul loose later customer. Of cause they need some stratetic partnerships at the moment but also the contact to future customers. |

I'm just curious on what streaming technology they will use? It is proprietary or open-sourced? Do they have to pay royalties on other technologies that they might use in the future?
There is a "Begin Technology Patent Process" on their roadmap, but I don't know which technology its. they will probably license some technologies and develop others. a mix between the two. What kind of technologies could this be? I mean we are talking about streaming, more then a new file format or something like that is not coming into my mind. Or do they want to make some devices? I am sure that the project focus of cryptoflix is not to develop a new straming technology. They will use modern streaming features but there are several different solution on market. Would be nice to get the product name, but this could also be confidential because of other projcets. |

I guess some investors are in a wait and see attitude on the progress of the ICO. I hope the ICO turnout will be impressive.  That's some big bonuses. 55% although on the website I see that until 17 March the bonus is from 45-70% Yes huge bonuses but restricted to large investors that bring alot of money. I am not sure if I would want to see snother Steemit. It is full of shit content, plagiarism of pictures and texts and other shit to collect money. Not to forget all this shit bot upvotes. You get no real share if you sre not doing something absolutely great like being a programmer or using this shit bots to get upvotes. Otherwise you end with nothing but maybe 10Cent or so. Is Steemit better than bitcointalk forum? Regarding both rules and opportunities to get money. i don't know if it's better at reaching people but for sure looks more professional Steemit is totally different from BitcoinTalk. You can't compare eggs with alien spaceships. And I am not so sure if Steemit looks so much more professional. Actually the current design is a catastrophe, same as the functionality. BitcoinTalk looks dated because it is. The UI hasn't been updated in years which is a shame. Steemit is a blogging platform. It's not made for discussions over a long time. Current version of Sphere running well and stable on android, basic features are fine! With over 250k users, I'm rather positive this project could be a changer. Its nice to know that Sphere's users are increasing everyday and its developers are very active. That is a good sign! they should do an airdrop dependent on the the user registering for the platform. that would draw in more people. I am not sure that an airdrop would push the platform. At the moment it is beta status and nice to see something and good for investors to show the development skills also. An airdrop would also bing many people that will just register and will never logon. After success of Project start and collecting money they got the chance to develop the platform and the people will come. I think so but probably not for all the content. YourDef is a good idea. You don't need 4k streams on a phone. Have a look into the whitepaper. There is the posibility of flexible resolution. For examble a mobile device got a lower quality than a TV on streaming. |

What's the latest news regarding this project?
Ico is about the be over and they raised a good amount of money. Now we are expecting some good development from the team. Now that the funding for the project is sorted, the team can focus more on developing their product, while still finding partnerships and presenting at conferences. Hopefully they release infomation about the ongoing steps. The released demo is awesome for an early stadium but should be replaced soon by an alpha version. At least the data privacy advantage of sphere will be a good argument to change.
But untill then the project needs money and a good start to publish a product which got features the people expect from a social NW platform.
data privacy only matters to a small group of people. but it is a start. draw those people in and get bigger, then move to draw in others. Sad but true. Most people are ignorant when it comes to data privacy. You need a different killer feature to draw people away from Facebook. And you said, it seems most people don't really care anymore about their privacy. A good example is WhatsApp, I think. Even though there are more secure messenger apps, people wanna stick to WhatsApp. Sphere has really a long way ahead, but I am confident they can do it. People do not worry that their personal information can be used by attackers against themselves! But when they encounter this problem and then start thinking about safety! I think data security is one of foremost concern with this project and naturally the DEVs would make it a priority. Data security is a problem of almost any project, especially such as social networks! Your are right, many people do not care and use Whatsapp and Facebook. Mee too. But it is a toppic comming up often in press and as soon as there are good alternatives the people will move. |
