21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: SRBMiner Cryptonight AMD GPU Miner V1.8.9 - native algo switching on: May 24, 2019, 12:56:48 PM
Just update to 1.8.9, Win 10, 7 RX 580 cards

getting an error:
Error CL_INVALID_WORK_GROUP_SIZE when calling clEnqueueNDRangeKernel for kernel 00 for DeviceID 4 (Thread 9)

any idea?

this is my config:

BTW:

I'm using these drivers:
https://www.amd.com/en/support/graphics/amd-radeon-r9-series/amd-radeon-r9-200-series/amd-radeon-r9-280x

but still get:
2019-05-22 13:01:02] NOT using the recommended drivers: Adrenalin 18.6.1 or Adrenalin 2019

Dont you worry about that message, it is just a notice.

Hi,

any plans to add AMDTweakTool or Claymore type of stripe to increase AMD RX cards hashrate ?

thx

I am done with 1.8.9, atm in the testing phase. It contains tweak profiles that can be used on rx 450/460/550/560 rx 470/480/570/580/580/590.
It is intended for already modified cards - to get out a little bit more juice, but of course it will work on stock bios too, but the performance is far from a modded vbios.

nice, will test asap !
thx

Those are for Vega, not RX cards, sorry needed to specify that!

New Release

  • Added FIJI support
  • Added Refresh Rate timing (RX boost  Wink)
  • Overdrive fixes
  • Added memory manufacturer detection for G5, HBM & HBM2
  • .....

Link: Here

Will upload CLI versions asap as well!

I noticed some people have figured out that there is still room to improve on RX 4**/5** cards.
Just not many people saying how..

Well, open up the tool, and raise Refresh Rate (REF) i created a separate textbox for it to make it easy.
Raise it from 5 to 7/8 (just an example) and you'll see improvement already.

Slightly dropping RFC will increase your hashrate as well.

Greetings

I tried to set the REF and RTC as you mention on my RX580 8Gb Hynex but as soon as I push apply, it gets back to original values, any idea?
thx

ok great!

anyone got some RX580 8Gb hynex card settings different from what the miner selects?

thx

Hello,

when I start the miner I get these settings:

GPU0: Radeon RX 580 Series [ellesmere] [8192 MB][I: 107.0][W: 8][T: 2][F: 4][BUS: 1]
GPU1: Radeon RX 580 Series [ellesmere] [8192 MB][I: 107.0][W: 8][T: 2][F: 4][BUS: 2]
GPU2: Radeon RX 580 Series [ellesmere] [8192 MB][I: 107.0][W: 8][T: 2][F: 4][BUS: 3]
GPU3: Radeon RX 580 Series [ellesmere] [8192 MB][I: 107.0][W: 8][T: 2][F: 4][BUS: 5]
GPU4: Radeon RX 580 Series [ellesmere] [8192 MB][I: 107.0][W: 8][T: 2][F: 4][BUS: 6]
GPU5: Radeon RX 580 Series [ellesmere] [8192 MB][I: 107.0][W: 8][T: 2][F: 4][BUS: 7]
GPU6: Radeon RX 580 Series [ellesmere] [4096 MB][I: 105.0][W: 8][T: 2][F: 4][BUS: 9]

But in the config I have Intensity 0 and no Fragment set at all !

Are these an optimal config for my cards or are overridden by the config file ?

thx

How do you remove the driver installed by EthDcr...exe ?
29  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: AMD Mem Tweak - Read/modify mem timings on the fly - [Vega Friendly] [Win/Linux] on: May 15, 2019, 08:46:53 AM
Hello,
I played with tweaking core and memory for RX580 8Gb and 4Gb with hynex mem, but cannot reach an optimal setup with timing.

Isn't possible to do like claymore is doing?

Recognizing the GPU and Memory and than applying a "optimal" tweak ?
If there are enough data from the community for the various cards, would that be possible?

thx
great tool btw !

Hey Ganzo, i did some research and hynix is slower than micron and samsung cards. apparently its a toss-up too, you can get 2 MSI brand graphics card of exact model and make and it could end up a hynix and samsung mix. to me that just means economics at the foundries. sucks for us!  Cry im getting 25mhs with underclock and undervolt. i barely overclocked mine, just in case hynix cant operate at a higher frequency than samsung/micron cards. CoreClock 1146mhz/860mv. MemClock 2050, pulling 109w + 16w. Could anyone tell me that this is as good as i can get it given that its a hynix?

But i am planning on buying a radeon vii and was wondering since its a Vega II, would the Vega strap work on this tool?? Thanks guys!

I know Hynex is not the best but I got to 31 Mh/s, so wanted to see if the AMD Tweak tool increase that.

It would be good if the tool does what Claymore has, like a DB for common cards, with some "optimal" / "baseline" strap and than one can tweak it some more based on OC and cards differences, for example silicon!

Hopefully we get there with the tool

Got my stock bios rx 580 and I keep right clicking the batch and run as administrator and it keeps saying this. "Failed, you must run miner with admin rights." in red text. Please Help

you need to use a command line, go to start -> cmd -> right click for use as admin and than type the eth install command

after that you can run the bat as normal, no need admin

Hi,

testing 14.1 on win 10 with 5 RX580 cards but getting an all cards 0 Mh/s

EthDcrMiner64.exe -mport 0 -epool stratum+ssl://eu1-etc.ethermine.org:5555 -ewal xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.AMD -epsw x -tstop 80 -tt 65 -fanmin 70 -fanmax 95 -eres 2 -gser 2 -dcri 8 -etha 0 -ethi 15 -asm 2 -wd 1 -dbg -1 -platform 1 -estale 0 -y 1 -showdiff 1

any idea?
thx

Thank you for some directions. Now it's time to play with that. One question though: I use the GUI. What happens after system restart or gpu crash? Everything stays the same or do i have to apply the values again?

You're welcome.

You have to apply the values again yes. See this as a positive thing ;-)

Cheers!

Thanks to your advice of playing with "tRFC" (along with Timing Level 2 setting) I've got a boost on CN-R, CN waltz and CN soft shell. I've got stable GPUs. What other values are better to change after this 1st step please ? Thanks !

Can you share some of those tRFC settings, it will give me an idea where to start on RX580s.
Thx

So you were able to gain Mh with a RX480 bios modded?
How much gain you got ?

I was wondering since I have RX580s bios modded so I wanted to know if the gain is worth it.

thx
36  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: AMD Mem Tweak - Read/modify mem timings on the fly - [Vega Friendly] [Win/Linux] on: May 03, 2019, 07:55:39 PM
thx for the info !

So without reverting to stock bios the tool does not work or we get better results from stock?

please share your finding as the number of parameter are so many that is difficult to keep track.
Also my RX 580 8Gb is Hynex memory so might be different from others.

cheers

Nice work on upx2. I only get 80khs on v64 or 77khs on same power level as srb (which I get 65khs).

Would love to see you guys kill it on MTP

can you help me with the config file?
I am running the following command to miner UPX2 but the miner crash:

teamredminer.exe -a cnv8_upx2 -o stratum+tcp://uplexa.herominers.com:10472 -u address -p win10

Any idea?
thx
