has anyone had any luck with getting crypto-trade to respond to a help desk ticket?

Well, I just opened a ticket to re-enable my account. Apparently they de-activate dormant accounts after it's been a few months. I'll let you know if they respond.

BTW, crypto-trade is the only site which allows you to open a ticket under the topic "Account Hacked" - not exactly a confidence boosting admission that this happens often enough, eh?

I'm still waiting to hear from them since sunday… so done with this whole fucking thing.

It took over 3 months for them to respond to my ticket back when I captured the issue with the increase in total shares on trades. It didn't really impact my account but was a pretty big flaw in their system... 3 months. Sorry.

its like clockwork when the hashrate drops. I've said before - its not difficult to create a basic cron file that will modify the cgminer parameters and reboot at specified times. I use this to underclock during 12-5pm when its most expensive, then back up to speed overnight. It can be used to change pool info (COUGH ACTM COUGH) and can even be set to act differently depending on day of the week or day of the month so that it looks 'random'

Really want an excuse for why the hashrate has more than halved in the span of two weeks - he cant possibly be selling them, at least not via the website. They must be either breaking down or being directed elsewhere. The lack of explanation is the kicker.

zumzero; you defend the company frequently, can you put a positive spin on this?

Ken has gone into hiding; even if there is a reason for the drop in hashrate such as power costs during that time window he won't respond here.

Or he's selling used hardware...

As New I'm sure.

looks like the sham ACTM mining farm is trailing off again… http://eligius.st/~wizkid057/newstats/userstats.php/1DJpsvnM7xTnQbWEhLYyCyfxQyxwupEzCa

And Ken's pulling shareholder's coins left & right: https://blockchain.info/address/1DJpsvnM7xTnQbWEhLYyCyfxQyxwupEzCa

Tiresome jibes are tiresome.

Seems pretty simple to me. ActM invested ~$900,000 or what ever in VMC. They are two separate companies by the records and documents Ken released.

So now Ken is taking ActM profits which by the IPO statements indicate should go back to shareholders and using them to pay VMC debts.

I'm not saying that people who pre-ordered shouldn't get their refunds. I'm saying Ken should explain where the pre-order money went to. We know some was lost on Gox... but with out a full explanation it's nothing short of fraud in my book.
5  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] Official Shareholder Discussion Thread [Moderated] on: June 24, 2014, 01:55:59 PM
There was around 450> btc ($300,000) lost on Gox. (Can someone please let me know the right amount, cant find it, i'm sure its less)
Yet people throw this around as if Ken had lost the whole $6 million of pre orders.

People are stating that Ken has not shipped anything.
He has actually sold out the Gold rush cards.

Mining at 100th.

People were stating Ken could not give out dividends.
Missouri securities actually stated he couldn't take more investment. Kens lawyer stated this would not matter as there was no intention to.

People are acting like the Missouri securities fine will be the death of the company.
Its going to be  $100,000>

People are stating that the reimbursement is going to end the company.
All 10,000,000 shares reimbursed at the 0.05 would only be $500,000. Highly unlikely. And generally more beneficial to ACTM.

Ken stated he wants to refund 100% pre orders.
He has started this process.

Ken has stated he is working with Hashfast and their creditors.

...

Since the IPO bitcoin has gone up over 5x.

ACTM received a partial refund from easic (nobody knows the exact amount)

ACTM received a full refund from Avalon.

ACTM sold out the Gold rush cards.

ACTM has a working IP - Purchased for 150,000 shares.
...

As stated before the pre order money could have easily funded the 28nm full custom asic. It is not uncommon in this industry.

Just an observation for you... if Ken had sold all inventory he wouldn't need to take bitcoins mined by ActM (Which should go towards dividends and reinvestment in additional hashrate) and use them to pay refunds; he'd be able to use profits from the sales to pay.

I'm guessing he delivered as much as people would accept in place of refunds and everything else dumped at or near cost.

There is way to much borrowing from peter to pay paul going on. I highly doubt Ken even could produce financials at this point... he's probably not kept record of where funds came and went.

Am i the only one that things a valuation of $18k for a company with $100k in physical assets is insanity... regardless of problems...

How many millions in refunds are still owed? We really don't know since Ken has lied to us time and time again about providing any sort of financial information.

7  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] Official Shareholder Discussion Thread [Moderated] on: June 10, 2014, 01:41:31 PM
Why dont you have your peoples asic mates on here calling Ken out as a scammer?

Why would they willingly step into the crossfire? They aren't in a position making any decisions... this failure sits on Ken's shoulders alone.
8  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] Official Shareholder Discussion Thread [Moderated] on: June 06, 2014, 01:02:15 PM
So another week passes; no dividends, no financials and no Ken (updates, etc).

We haven't heard from the AskKen account either... so much for Ken working to answer questions that were submitted under that process.
9  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] Official Shareholder Discussion Thread [Moderated] on: June 05, 2014, 09:32:42 PM
Guys, put away the pitchforks and understand this..

The only way for shareholders to realise a gain from their investments is to step back and let this play out.  I know it's hard for the Americans because of their lawsuit culture but faced with the option of encouraging the Feds to hang Ken out to dry and guaranteeing zero return on their investments, or remaining passive in the hope that the angry mob could be wrong and allowing the opportunity for shareholders to realise a profit, I know which one I would pick.

Is having the satisfaction of watching Ken go down really more important than making bitcoin?

There is no way on Earth that anyone here will be able to salvage enough money to have made it worth their while to ask ActM for a share refund.  So unless you can afford to lose your investment, I would ask you to think twice before following the advice of posters such as LorenzoMoney.  He should be fucking ashamed of himself for contacting the Feds.  What a traitor to our community.  I am disgusted by his actions because while he can afford to lose his investment, the rest of us can't and I for one wouldn't dream of damaging the prospects of the many for my own selfish vendetta.  Angry

zum: Why do you think at this point that Ken would continue to honor the agreement that he issued shares under? Let me ask you; when was the last time you were paid the dividend that was agreed upon? How long did Ken with hold our shares?

He's already taken those funds from everyone; funds that were generated and should have been paid out a long time ago. He has had sales (We know that they were received by some members of this community) and yet 50% of the profit from those sales was never paid out either.

We know the money hasn't gone to ActM's farm... so where has it gone? We also know it hasn't gone to refunds. Where else but to Ken's salary or those close to him?

As far as I'm concerned by his refusal to re-list shares on CT within a reasonable time frame; he's on the hook for every single share out there. He might claim that he's only responsible for refunding shares that can be proven to be direct from him; but by his actions everyone else became entrapped in this mess.

FROM A PM WITH KEN

Can any of you actually provide a single example of Ken being dishonest?

Ken,

You have been dishonest.
We have known each other since you first announced Virtual Mining on BitFunder.
You can argue with me, and deny it all you want, but you have been very dishonest.

Lorenzo Money

No, I have not.  If you think I have give me an example.
[/I have not.  If you think I have give me an example.

You can start with the statement about shipping our first product and go from there.

This time next month the share price might not reach 0.003 thanks to Bitcoin traitors but those of us who are holding for as long as it takes, we will have our day in the sun.

What are the rules on quoting known trolls? I forget.
12  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] Official Shareholder Discussion Thread [Moderated] on: June 03, 2014, 06:21:52 PM
100 Gold Rush boards just left stock.

Fell off the truck... who knows I'm guessing Ken has no records of anything...
13  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] Official Shareholder Discussion Thread [Moderated] on: June 03, 2014, 01:06:25 PM
If ACTM had in stock miners flying off the shelf I would be
more optimistic

Although if Ken buys back a significant amount of shares there is more motivation for him to perform better

Ken would have to stop miss-leading people for there to be any success.
14  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] Official Shareholder Discussion Thread [Moderated] on: June 03, 2014, 12:50:08 AM

The MSD says the investors original purchase price, so the second IPO if you tendered shares from the first IPO you will receive the first IPO price of .0005 BTC if you want a refund.

I guess you leave no option but for everyone here to take it up with MSD directly. How do you think you'll fare if that happens?
15  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] Official Shareholder Discussion Thread [Moderated] on: June 02, 2014, 10:37:13 PM
The balance in the mining account will used to fund operations.

Which operations? There are still two companies here right... are you taking the ActM profits to fund VMC's failures?
16  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] Official Shareholder Discussion Thread [Moderated] on: June 02, 2014, 09:40:40 PM
Ken,

This requires an immediate response; not a short one liner on Wednesday.

Still no proper financials?

There is a reason why publicly traded companies are required to release such information...

Another missed deadline?
19  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] Official Shareholder Discussion Thread [Moderated] on: May 15, 2014, 11:21:49 AM
Ken,

What are the remaining liabilities? How much in USD do you still have to refund? This is an answer that shouldn't be avoided.

Thanks, I be answering most of these question on Wednesday.

Ken,

Good news/Bad news... just wanted to say thank you for the dialog and for showing a presence these last few days.
