@Ken et. al.

so this just went live: CounterWallet (very beginning stages but looks more promising and understandable that ColoredCoins)

In my estimation; CounterParty looks far more refined than colored coins.

Ken,

With all of the news recently of failed bitcoin ventures (BitFunder, Gox, NeoBee, etc) and especially the way NeoBee went down...

I just wanted to say Thank You for keeping at it despite set backs (both those we might know about and those we don't). It would have been all to easy to call it quits at any point of the process. I'm sure I'm not alone in saying I appreciate your efforts to keep this thing moving along.

I will always ask tough questions it's in my nature to want to understand the situation as well as helps from an investment standpoint to decide where my risk limit should be.

That said... I know your focus has been on getting the mining going (as it should be); but I was wondering if when you get time (of course after getting shares trading again) you might define share holder expectations a little clearer. For example what financial information we should expect and on what schedule. As well as our reinvestment plan, there has been a lot of recent discussions pertaining to reinvestment and a lot of good thoughts and ideas. I think the community is curious where you stand on the discussions.

I know in the past your advisory council didn't work out the way anyone expected. That said in your "community" of investors you do have several with skill sets that could benefit your venture in one way or another. I would encourage you to consider those resources and reach out when it benefits you. If there is anything I can do let me know.

Thanks,
Shao

Awesome news all around!

Yes, and we are still working on developing our own 28nm chip.

If these boards do not sell; what kind of financial position does that leave us in? Can we mine with these and ROI with our DC costs and everything taken into account?

HashFast... FastHash... what's the difference....

46  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] Official Shareholder Discussion Thread [Moderated] on: March 30, 2014, 09:35:56 PM
And I'm a shill?

What matters is that Ken keeps the company afloat, I keep saying this.

He said himself he is working on multiple ways to succeed.  This means he is developing a 28nm custom that we can be proud of.  The guy needs much more credit than he's given, imo.

Zum: The problem as I see it... Ken has used up all of the communities faith. He continues to make decisions which are questionable at best and provides no information to those of us who provided the funding for his organization.

Maybe he is making the right decisions... but he has failed at every corner to provide us with any information to aid in our understanding. Why after all of this should anyone continue to give him any benefit of doubt. The reality is while we have no option to but wait and see if Ken actually will make good on his assurances or not as he continues to hold everyone hostage.

Honestly the lack of consideration for those who trusted him is just frustrating and if it reflects this poorly on us; those who funded him... how do you think that it looks to potential customers?

Why does CryptoTrade show this:

Quote
762175 / 25000000 Outstanding

Why are 762,175 shares in the wild? UKYO had less than 300,000 shares.

Someone is getting preferential treatment and will be able to sell on good news before anyone else. This is not fair and pure manipulation of the price.

I wonder who else issued 400,000+ shares...

There is a bug in CryptoTrade's system that causes this. I've opened a ticket with CryptoTrade a while back but got no response. I also let Ken know.

CryptoTrade charges fees on every transaction; it looks like the fees are being credited towards additional shares sold. These shares don't appear to be transacted but it is causing the counts to grow every time a transaction takes place. If the shares are being created (which I don't know for sure) we have a really big mess.

Ken,

Can you confirm is this the board you are selling or are you using a reference design provided by HashFast?

http://hashfast.com/shop/yolievo/

Or did you just randomly design a board that is roughly the same size (estimates by picture) with screw holes in almost exactly the same location? I mean it looks like you tossed a metal plate on the back of the board and called it your own design.

Why are you concealing this information from us.

Honestly the longer this goes on the more and more it feels like you are either lying to us intentionally or at the very least deceiving us on purpose.

Ken,

Can you comment on if this product includes IntelliHash? Is IntelliHash a thing?

And how about some explanation of this...

Quote
Cooling System: Corsair 80i or equivalent liquid cooling system is required (not included)

So no cooling is included with your solution?

And...

Quote

Built in thermal controls that allow the chip optimization without damage to processor.
Warranty:  Quality Controlled Pre-shipping tested against DOA. Experimental No Warranty

Oh and...is it a PCI card or just using PCIe power connectors?

Quote
·Typical Power Requirements:  Standard PCIe dual 6pin to 12 volts of DC power
@ .70 Watt per GH +/- 20% (power supply not included)

For those counting... that's 358W +- 20%

Development board running here:

Early Prototype Development Board

Ken,

Please confirm the source of the chips... are they from another vendor? The longer you put off answering the more suspicious it looks.

Can you confirm the status of Intellihash? Does this generation of hardware utilize the technology? There was a fair amount of hype on this technology... just curious the status as we haven't heard much about it in months.

My lawyer has just responded to the MSD with the information they requested.  I think that due to the couterparty risk with these bitcoin exchanges, that we will be using colored coins.  CC is getting very close to being usable.  I do want to get everyone where they can trade; however, I need to consult with my lawyer before doing anything.

My understanding of CounterParty is that it rides on the same blockchain as bitcoin. As long as two parties are using a CounterParty aware client I believe they can exchange issued assets directly without the use of an exchange.

Honestly Ken at this point CC just feels like a continued excuse for not re-listing.

I could be wrong about CounterParty; but in my professional opinion it is much further down the road than CC in just about every way.

52  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] Official Shareholder Discussion Thread [Moderated] on: March 12, 2014, 11:42:45 AM

Yes but how many counterparty coins will Ken need to buy to make this work? Also how does Ken issue more shares? Because it's 10,000,000 in the wild until 0.0025 is paid, and then another 15,000,000 enter the wild. So does counterparty allow Ken to issue more shares? Or if not, can he issue all 25,000,000 at once but force a logic rule on the 15,000,000 preventing dividends until the 0.0025 is paid?

Ken would have to issue all 25,000,000 shares up front. He would not be able to use the existing interface to pay dividends until after the 0.0025 is paid however it shouldn't be hard to pull the ownership list and filter out his own addresses when making payments manually.

For example you can see an asset list on their BlockScan site and see who currently holds those assets.

Counterpartyd version 6.6 allows dividend payments to be made in bitcoin: https://www.counterparty.co/pay-dividends-with-bitcoin/

Very cool.

Ken,

My suggestion is that you put together a team of trusted individuals to assess this as a possible solution for ActM.

From what I've seen they look pretty far down the path and with this last addition it might be a solid viable option.

Success or not... audit or not... the single largest issue is that investors are stuck and cannot if they wanted divest themselves.

Ken I hope you take this to heart. Let people that want out... out. Let them decide what gains or losses are acceptable.

I'd bet a lot of people hold and have faith in you delivering... but give them the option.
55  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] Official Shareholder Discussion Thread [Moderated] on: February 26, 2014, 03:28:33 PM
Wow. I had no idea something this polished was out there.

Do I read this correctly?

https://counterparty.co/faqs/why-must-dividends-bets-and-betting-fees-be-paid-in-xcp/

I don't care to have dividends paid in XCP... that's a huge no-go for me.

No bitcoins on CT.

Do you have a copy of the share holders list from CT?
57  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] Official Shareholder Discussion Thread [Moderated] on: February 24, 2014, 12:20:05 PM

I am completely *NOT* surprised. Crypto-Trade gets a poor rating in my opinion.

I've personally found major bugs with their trading platform and have had a ticket open going on 2 weeks now without any response.
58  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] Official Shareholder Discussion Thread [Moderated] on: February 21, 2014, 12:24:28 PM
No you haven't, I have been waiting 9 weeks for my refund and despite a vague promise to look into it I have yet to to receive a refund. You are a muppet.
No, I am a muppet for believing this scam in the first place.

You WILL be hearing from the Office of the  Attorney general's Consumer protection Division in Jefferson County quite soon (if not already)

I don't know the timelines... but I'd say you are welcome to report to who ever. If Ken has done as he has said he'll have proof that it's been mailed and can put it to bed pretty quick.

I sincerely hope you get your refund ASAP. These types of claims are probably the worst Black Eye that Ken and company can receive. I hope he understand that responding to customer requests such as this should be a priority and if he's busy with engineering decisions that one of the others on his staff should have some ability to take care of operational issues while he's away.

Despite all of the delays... I hope ActM/VMC can recall the community backlash of BFL. Delays are understandable and explainable but remember your customer base.

Our project manager and engineers have worked to get a chip that can be air cooled, this will work in our expansion cases.  The project manager with our engineers has managed to reduce the cost of the expansion cases to about 25% of what the cost was.  This will be changed on our website soon.

Ken,

Can your card be used in any computer similar to BFLs? Or will it only work with a VMC Base Unit or Expansion Unit? I assume this is all software; but curious your plans.

Why are we over analyzing pictures of a chip that we know hasn't been spun yet.

Ken has said on multiple occasions that they opted to not go for a small sample run and instead have placed a full order. That schedule has been released you know there are no chips yet so why all of the concern over what must be some stock photo.

All of you who keep calling this a scam need to step back and review the risk of an investment. There is never a guarantee that your investment will return a profit. You might yet loose money in this... that remains to be seen. But a failed investment doesn't make it a scam regardless of how sure you were of the investment.
