DECENT had a good run but the devs changed the way the project was going too many times and spent too much of the ICO on dumb decisions, I think it is necessary for these type of coins to die so real projects can thrive. When Bittrex removes DCT this is the final nail in the coffin.

My criticism here is oriented towards the token and not towards the project, except for its huge delay and outrageous optimistic timeline. In regards to me promoting BISQ or any other projects that I believe in, I don't, except for a few mentions here and there where there is a purpose besides marketing and FOMO. I think a project should grow organically. If people don't want to use BISQ or prefer centralized exchanges, then it is their fault if they get a letter from their government or loose their deposits.
Not every project needs funding. Bitcoin didn't need funding. Open Source or community project often don't need fundings. Maidsafe is a company, and as such needs funding. It is reasonable to say that when a project is complex, it needs to have an organization behind it. But often this organization will get corrupted if successful. I do believe that Maidsafe is the most interesting project out there and I wish it success. But I stay away from the token unless its price meets its true value (not future value).

Oh great, now we got ChainRift where people can dump the balance of their Maid tokens. It is kind of hypocritical to support a project geared towards privacy and decentralization, but at the same time supporting a centralized exchange like Poloniex that for many year has proven to be an agent of the government, and which poor customer service reflect how little they give a damn about its clients. It is ironical that it is Poloniex taking the step to delist itself than its users. Meanwhile you got the best DEX out there called BISQ, and nobody is using it (and Maid is in it).
ln regards to MaidSafe project, I do support. But lets be real; the maid "coins" are worthless tokens sitting on the bitcoin blockchain and has nothing to do with the MaidSafe project. People gave away their worthy Bitcoins for worthless tokens with the expectation that they would get something worthy in the future. That future was supposed to be "soon" or even "very soon" but ended up to be an eternity.

Answer from someone who lives and breathes both Bitcoin and The Safe Network:
The SAFE Network is not primarily about the coin, but data in every application. It's about creating a space where everything is censorship resistance. The "oil" of this system is Safecoin. Unlike Bitcoin, Litecoin or all the other cryptos, Safecoin will not run on a blockchain. It will simply be data running on the SAFE Network - instantly confirmed with free transactions. Is it safer? That depends on what you mean by "safer". It will be totally private and anonymous. But if by "safe" you mean as a store of value, that will take time as people will need to trust it - and the network it runs on.
Right now Maidsafe is just as safe as Bitcoin as it is on the Bitcoin blockchain. Once it leaves that blockchain and moves onto its own network, I would speculate that it will become very unsafe until proven otherwise with time. I definitely won't recommend anyone to move all of their Maidsafe coins on Bitcoin blockchain to the new network all at once. You never know what could happen. |

I was about to buy some Maidsafe as the price seems to have bottomed. But just as I was about to, price fell to new lows. I believe ICO price was 3430 Satoshis. Price fell to an all time low yesterday at 2006 satoshis and is now at 2067. With Bitcoins ever increasing in dollar price, it doesn't look like Maidsafe is able to keep up. I believe most use dollars or other fiat currencies to trade Maidsafe, that is why it will never catch up.
cause this is a overhyped coin from like 2016 lol, and it (like many others) had some nice pnd hype action, but that's about it. zero reason it should have any high price. it's being 'developed' fucking forever only to show.....................nothing. like most vapor alts for the last 3-4 years LOL. Supposedly they will have something out in the next 2 months their leader and chief proclaimed on their forum a bit back. Lets see what happens  , as long as I keep my expectations rock bottom it can only be positive hah. "something out" doesn't sound ground breaking. This in itself is a sign that more dump is coming. I just did notice that all the rooms in the discord are read only. Why would they do that? Why not let the community chat with each other and ask question. Like I had a legit question for example. Which is: If you sell the BtV Crystalibur card in SoG's Counterparty platform, would that sale reflect on the ETH platform? I assume it is mirrored on both blockchains, so whatever one reads is what the other reads as well, right? In regards to the above update, I guess they are still attempting to create some value to their NXCs. I guess they are still stuck with a load of worthless NXCs and need to come up with another scam to pump it up and unload. |

Yeah, I remember you mentioning that the founders were selling their tokens back in November 2017. I am glad you warned us and I sold all my tokens as well. I didn't even know that the project was dead until today when I read this thread. I wonder what caused the founders to drop it. |
