1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cheap Altcoins to mine ???? on: May 01, 2018, 01:39:52 PM
There is no point in mining coins with low profitability, unless you specifically want to "support" the project.

If you want to make the most of your power and earn most possible cash, it is better for you to mine what is most profitable and then sell those coins on an exchange and buy the "cheap" altcoins you would like to own. That way, you will get way more altcoins in the end.

Thx for your comment bro .........hmm as thick as a brick i feel really dumb.....yes mine the popular coins and buy Musicoin if i want  Undecided Undecided Undecided

I flatly refuse to go back to windows so one way or another i will need to sort out the  economy side of thing on hiveos. Please guys im no IT tech but would love some kind of help.......if possible.

BTW something else i just noticed and am not sure whether it is fixed yet or not. I use a Biostar TB250-BTC mobo and on the SMOS platform the USB image will not work on the latest bios. A bios from March 2017 is need .....On hiveos i was pleasantly surprised to see that a similar OS ....being linux based actually works on the Biostar latest mobo bios.....Just some info for anyone that would like to know.

Hi. When are you coming with the Auto Profit Based Switching?

For example if the ZEC is more profitable to mine instead of ETH? Your OS automatically switches to ZEC Mining without the need of manual input.

Please let me know since Auto-Profit Based Switching is what we need at the current time.

Thanks.

They just launch API on HiveOS so you can create your own auto-profit mining switch

http://forum.hiveos.farm/discussion/192/hive-api

How can we make one?

Im in the same boat inverted.......thing is the   "They just launch API on HiveOS so you can create your own auto-profit mining switch

http://forum.hiveos.farm/discussion/192/hive-api"

Unfortunately the average mining guy like myself wont be able to create an algo for this ......Any chance of helping out with a video

Am just about to ask the same question.......was using Mutlipool Miner from aaronsace  on Multipool Hub and i really like his profit switching ......if hiveos could have profitswithing app added it would make this a complete package.

How have I not come across this before? I've been using Simplemining but this looks really nice.

Without reading through all 22 pages, has anyone here switched from Simplemining? How is Hive OS better?

Yes i was on Simplemining and to be honest  hiveos is so simple to use you actually can forget to check on your rig for a day or 2 ........"ONLY THE BEST"  in 3 simple words

Guys i have a strange thing happening from time to time.

Sometime (maybe once a week) i find my rig off .....then when i look closer i see it rebooted but goes into CMOS. Setup page.If  i remove the USB and  plug it into a differant slot and reboot it goes back into Linux as it shud but not unless i have changed USB from one the another....any idea why

Was using MultiPoolMiner from Aaronsace on Mining Pool Hub......could something of a similar nature be added so we can auto algo-switching ....mining most profitable as we go

I am new to HIVE OS.
I have 2 ASUS 1050 TI GPU having 4GB DDR5 MEM.
i have setup all configuration and its working properly.
Now i want to use OC on ASUS card but not sure how to use and what values need to add.

Current hash rate is low compared to windows.

Click on rig name on the left and the CP will come up ....when you OC  you put in details and space for next GPU

Hey Guys

the OS looks good so far only one Issue which i dont think is the OS problem but my Problem. I been usingSMOS on MiningPoolHub for about 2 months and would like to try Hiveos. But my issue has always been ....I for some  frigging reason can never configure the strings for MPH. Could somebody please try to assist me with fixing this  issue. the stirng i have been using on Claymore 10.5 has been as below on SMOS and it works

-epool europe.ethash-hub.miningpoolhub.com:17020 -ewal JUPIE2008.worker1 -eworker JUPIE2008.worker1 -esm 2 -epsw x -allcoins 1 -allpools 1 -dpool stratum+tcp://hub.miningpoolhub.com:20550 -dwal JUPIE2008.worker1 -dcri 10 -dpsw x -dcoin sc

with the demise of SIACOIN i have  altered the string as follows:

-epool europe.ethash-hub.miningpoolhub.com:20535, WALLET: %EWAL%.%WORKER_NAME%, PSW: x, ESM: 2

Please could somebody  tell me where im going wrong or what the hell is going on..... I know withthe 17xxxx ports one doesnt need to add a wallets as goes to the worker on MPH. I would prefer an all coin string for ethash. I hope i havent confused everything..

16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Bios Incorrectly Flashed ???? on: January 26, 2018, 08:33:30 PM
Hey Guys Not sure where to put this

I have 4 cards 2xMSI RX 580's 8G GAMING X Samsung Mem and  1x Saffire RX570 8G Samsung Mem  1x Biostar RX 580 8G  Hynix mem.All the cards are runing perfectly and are not crashing or causing any errors.

BUT  ........ I am using SimpleMining which works like a dream and according to all comments and specs my clock timing and all BIOS settings are not well done. My  settings are as follows:

ETH - Total Speed: 120.818 Mh/s, Total Shares: 897, Rejected: 0, Time: 08:57
ETH: GPU0 29.405 Mh/s, GPU1 30.727 Mh/s, GPU2 30.343 Mh/s, GPU3 30.343 Mh/s

SC: GPU0 499.056 Mh/s, GPU1 521.703 Mh/s, GPU2 514.581 Mh/s, GPU3 513.849 Mh/s

The only issue is when i show people my setting they all say OMFG. That way to high.

GPU0=Saffire  GPU1=Biostar   GPU 2+3 = MSI RX580 GAMING X

Core = 1240,1290,1300,1300
Mem=  2190,2190,2190,2190
undervolting = 900,900,900,900

I do not have to worry about electricity but would like to know whether these settings would leesen the life of my cards or even cause damge....bearing in mind the rig runs at good temps 24/7 no problem.
If i need to rectify this please could you guys post a link or 2 so that i could start moving in the right direction.

Regards and thx for any responses

18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Busy Mining on MultiPool Hub and wondering ????? on: January 16, 2018, 10:58:45 PM
Hey Guys the re is so much reading on this forum im bound to be Duplicating somebodies thread......

I have been faffing around with  mining for about a 3 weeks now  and have been trying all kinds of Apps and methods. Every time i start something  i read a thread  and it grabs my attention i try it. Well i landed up on MultiPool Hub and  settled there for about a 10 days. I have 4x RX580's and seem to be getting a paid out  in my chosen coin Litecoin  $16 per . I pay very little for electricity so in a month  $16x30 adds up to a bit.
I however have been asking myself whether i could do better mining just a single coin ......
I know that answer would be  ....goto whattomine.com, Which say  PIRL.. Question is ...do i mine pirl till it changes  then  what ever it say next . this would amount to multiool miningbut in manual segments.
What could i jump onto and stick with and make  more if not  the same amount  per/month........I am in any case dump most of my mined coin on an exchange and my company  partner trades and we  are carrying on nicely.  So my actual question  shud i rather stick to a coin  and mine it  the multipool way .

regards

19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][POOL] Mining Pool Hub - Multipool. Multialgo, Auto Exchange to any coin. on: January 14, 2018, 11:33:25 PM
Well i have spent the best part of  3 weeks getting up to speed with all this mining stuff. And i must say whether i'm getting the correct payout daily i am not sure but then where  or on which pool can one be really sure you not being ripped off.What i can say is i first looked at Multi-pool miner of aaronsace and thought Fekk this it too difficult. Well after watching a video of razorseal i think it all became clear to me and frankly i think MPH works very well in conjunction with aaronsace's program. Im getting ave $10+ everyday with 2x RX570 GPUs and it seems good enough to me. If there is a better option id surely like to know where and to try it out.

Skimming profits i think is an impossible calc to make as mining speeds and algos change every few minutes so unlees you can mine your own block forever and a day  i doubt if we will ever know the truth .......im getting 4 more cards in the next weeks and if i can make $30+  a day i thin ill be happy.  Just my 2 cents......comments welcome

Can someone clarify how exactly autoexchange works?

Is it correct that if at some moment in time i have Autoexchange coin set to XXX and some coins are on autoexchange and exchange balance and i change coin to YYY means that all coins from exchange will get back to XXX coin and from moment i changed main coin all coins from "autoexchange" balance will be marked to be changed to YYY?

Or autoexchange+exchange wallet will still be converted to XXX and only when i switch to YYY all new "autoexchange" balance will be set to exchange to YYY?

Hope question is clear Smiley

Smiley there are 2 videos that will sort out your questions very quickly....one if by  Goose-Tech    and the other is by  razortech  google them on youtube
