241  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DOGE] Dogecoin - very currency many coin - v1.4 Released MANDATORY UPDATE on: January 11, 2014, 05:37:51 PM
There are 2 walls(1 buy 1 sell) around 16btc each and some orders in between:the guy is probably just trying to buy some doges cheap by "locking" the price and forcing people to think it is better to sell but in any way he benefits-buy low or sell higher is same fr him so let's just not panic, he will pull the walls at some point, it is just manipulation

Cheap doge is back, get in while it's under 40;)
243  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DOGE] Dogecoin - very currency many coin - v1.4 Released MANDATORY UPDATE on: January 08, 2014, 04:10:54 AM
I am watching DOGE right now and I must say that when some more hype comes in(block reward halving is one of the reasons but maybe even before that), DOGE is going to go very high:it seems like all of the sell walls under 40 are "fake" as there are walls every couple of satoshis and nothing in between. DOGE will definitely skyrocket to at least 45 when the rocket launches and I think I might even stack up on some more DOGE at the cheap price;)

I really enjoy how people claim to have a crystal ball..

The reward will halve and doge will go up...

And the base is that miners will stop dumping..

But why are miners dumping right now if everybody knows that doge will go up ?

Somebody call the mythbusters

Also , the only fact:
Bitcoin last halving , price ? Unchanged!

I am 100% sure that btc price now is also affected by the reward and its halving and although it might not be seen right away, if you do some math, the price definitely was and is affected. Once the reward halves DOGE might not necessarily go up right away but people will stop mining and there will be no more dumpers that just mine the most profitable coin at the time and sell it off for mining profits without any risks or any confidence and belief in the coin. Miners do not know DOGE will go up and nor do they care because their miner could ROI faster if they just mine the most profitable coin, who cares what its potential is when you could take your money right away and still win? Think about it! I am not saying buy DOGE because it will go up because I don't know if it will and nor does anybody else but these simple "facts" could cheer some bag holders up and maybe profit those who decide to get some coins. Sorry if this was not clear, but I DO NOT TAKE ANY RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY LOSSES OR GAINS BASED OFF OF MY "PREDICTIONS"

So Im mining on slow speed 100-200 khs with my nivida gtx 560 ti, should i use cudaminer or that dogecoinminer?

And one more thing, if my GPU is running on ~88 c will that destroy my card?

Fermi does like to run hot, but that is too hot in my opinion for mining:gaming for 6 hours is quite a bit different than 24/7 mining, I wouldn't let mine go above 80C or so especially since you probably have no warranty left.
Bs, my old gtx 570  hit 100c all the time when mining. There's always some guys who claim that over 70c is too much. Just like there are guys who claim you need to have 800W power to run decent graphics card. It's all bs.

The fact that it has been mining doesn't mean it wasn't getting destroyed slowly. How long did you mine with the card for? It isn't even the chip that is in danger but it is mostly vrm's. If the chip is at 100C the vrm's could be at around the same temp and most of them are only rated at 90-105C so the voltage regulators might start to malfunction over time especially if there is no extra cooling provided like with most non-reference coolers
Imho your opinion is too conservative. Fermi was designed to take the heat 24/7. Just don't overclock it too much.

I might be but to be honest with a 290(x) or any new card for that matter, and its heat even if it was not able to keep up with the heat there is 2/3 years of warranty and according to the manufacturer 95C is fine so they will have to exchange it, with Fermi cards I wouldn't risk it because there is no warranty, so unless that card is totally just useless to you and is just lying around doing nothing I wouldn't mine with it and even then you are better off just selling it because the hashrate is low but electricity consumption and noise are high

I feel the pressure on dogecoin and I think it might be one of the better buys right now for mid term. The depth chart looks a lot like the sells are being "forced" and the price is not very natural because of the people that just mine for profitability on multipool or where ever. I feel a big wave of buys coming once block reward halves

The difficulty is not falling while the price is-expect less mine-and-dumpers from Multipool because there will be more profitable coins to mine and the block reward will halve in just a month and a half so expect some nice rise there because only the believers will be left. I say buy and hold at anything less than 45 satoshi
250  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DOGE] Dogecoin - very currency many coin - v1.3 Released MANDATORY UPDATE on: January 04, 2014, 08:03:50 PM

Woah, that is 2 billion dogecoins in 1 account, kind of insane! I wonder who that really belongs to-I think it might be Just-Dice or something(didn't get to read all the comments and stuff yet, sorry in advance if it says there)
251  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DOGE] Dogecoin - very currency many coin - v1.3 Released MANDATORY UPDATE on: January 04, 2014, 06:46:43 PM
hmm 30 satoshi? Ooooh poor buyers.
Glad I sold most of my stash (first day miner) @ 225 satoshi!
Nice profit, much greed, so lazy  Tongue

Time for single digits.

Wow. Much luck! I sold mine at 150 bought back in at 80 and sold at 120 so got quite a bit(first day miner too) but now I am back nd already bought 10mil at 45 and 10mil at 30, will see how Doge reacts to btc going back up and block reward halving;)
252  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DOGE] Dogecoin - very currency many coin - v1.3 Released MANDATORY UPDATE on: January 04, 2014, 06:33:19 PM
Lots of coin to be earned during this bear market! This coin isn't going to take off until after block halving no matter what so as the old saying says, "Build it and they will come".

Can someone enlighten me what the big deal is with the block halving. Aren't all other mined crypto coins halving blocks from time to time. So how is it changing the status-qou ?

with block reward halving there will be 2x less coins mined per day and assuming that the difficulty stays about the same that will mean that mining the coin at current prices is 2x less profitable and people will stop mining(multipool is a big deal as the system changes to the most profitable coin so there are people that just mine the most profitable coin at the moment and sell it a day later with no hope that it will go up)
253  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DOGE] Dogecoin - very currency many coin - v1.3 Released MANDATORY UPDATE on: January 04, 2014, 05:48:23 PM
To be honest, anything under 50million dollars total market cap(100 billion coins) is a joke, even shitcoins like feathercoin are above that, so I think we have a very big chance of going up at least 2x, probably more than that. I say hold your Doge coins, you will not regret that.I think now is the perfect time to get in!

DogeCoin value is worth +- 157 atm.

Fail block reward design is fail.

I actually think the block reward design is kinda nice, along with 4 hour difficulty retarget it should do pretty well, now we just need the reward to halve and get rid of multipool and the mine ad dumpers and Doge will go to 60 satoshi + easily

Seriously fuck Cryptsy. I use to stick up for this garbage website. went from 1.2mil coins to nothing. All lost because cancelled transactions are still yanking funding even though I have no open orders. Can't refund anything, nothing. Fucking hate this website.

And then the kid goes and adds another coin today? Seriously, I'd like to meet him in person. How can someone make such a good website, and be that dense in the head?

I'm tempted to quit mining just because of losing my 1.2mil coins.

If anyone is willing to reinterest me and donate it'd be appreciated.

DHK5ToeW1C33qXfd1SVFq2tSoUEzjiiYSP

So you sold 1+ million Doges for good BTC and now look for donations? Am I missing something?

I could of explained it better, but I'm just really pissed at the current moment, so I apologize. I have nothing now because my portfolio has gone from .9 btc, to .14. Because of this site being so borked.

I went to purchase some more coins at .92 when the wall was getting low on .91. I seen the change in tide, and went to cancel order and just hold onto my funds for tonight to see if it drops in the morning. I cancelled order. Only problem is, it's still charging me for .92 coins. Even though I have no order, nothing. So it's drained what little BTC I had, and have 0 dogecoin aswell.

Sure, this is nothing in serious value to some of you. But to a new miner who has been working hard to attribute to 1.2mil coins, and actually start to see profit just get tossed, is frustrating.

Send Cryptsy a ticket and ask for the funds, they should return them, they are not trying to scam you it seems, the exchange is just very laggy. Usually if you cancel an order it could take up to 6 hours for balance to come back, sometimes even more:/

DOGE being traded at bter would be the best news for DOGE so far, I hope it is added in the next couple of days(I am assuming not long till adoption by bter because deposits are now taken) And remember: never dump with the crowd, think first;)

in 40 second, from 71 satoshi to 59  Undecided

It's okay, we were just shown some of doge's willpower.

Use that to renew your faith in doge.

Doge won't really rise until block rewards halve.

It will rise when btc goes back up in the beginning of next year and also when the rewards halve in February, this is going to be a fun run, I think we could get to 120 or so by mid January and stay there and the in February go to 200ish, hopefully even more;)
