Just little suggest, how about you add timeline for (at least) first round, since I'm not found any date when it's begin and end for each rounds (actually I just read that this video contest will have 3 rounds with 1 month duration)

First round will run until Friday 07 February 2020

31  Economy / Economics / Re: Why Bitcoin is not that good as currency? on: October 15, 2019, 12:59:06 PM
I think it's undisputable as a fact that Bitcoin remains the best-performing investment asset class for the past 10 years given that it rose from a value in cents to thousands of dollars during the said time frame. However that having been said I do not think that BTC would make a good primary/default currency given that it's too volatile even in a space of seconds. How would the exchange rate and conversion rate to other currencies work when you are dealing with such a highly volatile asset? It wouldn't make sense to use a medium of exchange whose value changes mid-transaction because most of us are risk-averse.
32  Economy / Economics / Re: Are Initial Offerings Overpriced? on: October 15, 2019, 12:52:23 PM
IPOs cannot be overpriced since they are backed by actual past performance history of a firm and the beauty of it is that this data is verifiable. This is usually not the case with ICOs and IEOs where you are buying a token often connected to a theoretical documentation of how someone intends to solve problem X. Linkedin profiles and whitepapers can do much but won't be able to guarantee success to a greater extent. Most projects that have been raising funds in the past and continue to do so to this day are nothing but plain heists that are not even worth the papers where their names are printed on. IPO returns might not be that attractive but at least one can perform due diligence.
33  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Blockchain Replace Banks? on: October 10, 2019, 03:22:59 PM
Blockchain can only enhance banks not replace them because it can be used as a tool to move and assure assets which traditionally was performed by banking software.

34  Economy / Economics / Re: The U.S. Government Tried To Shut Down Bitcoin on: October 10, 2019, 03:20:20 PM
I hope this is just fake news that usually often circulates on the internet when the price of bitcoin rises, traders must understand if this can be fake news and don't easily panic so you don't lose.
Market conditions are starting to improve so follow the flow and let's bring the price of bitcoin to the moon.
You are right there, there is a need to verify news before making a decision because we are in the era of fake news. Anyway even if the news is correct it can only affect the price of the coin for a while only and price correction happens soon after the news goes stale.

37  Economy / Gambling / Re: AskGamblers.com 🔥 Presents the best bitcoin casinos 🔥 Top bitcoin games on: October 10, 2019, 02:31:40 PM
AskGamblers Casino Complaints page for Bitstarz Casino shows that there are no unsolved complaints related to this casino.

https://www.askgamblers.com/casino-complaints/bitstarz-casino-failed-to-compensate-accordingly-after-proven-malfunctioning-game

The way they handled this complaint was pretty shady.  Did you ask them how many other players had played the game with the malfunctioning bonus round, and what they planned to do about it?

You are right there, what does Chris having to deal with 6 chats have to do you the client? It's an internal setup that should not concern the client and should not have any effect on the quality of service he receives.
38  Economy / Lending / Re: I don't know what to do anymore on: October 10, 2019, 02:14:09 PM
Similar to a fellow borrower on here, I wanted to post here about my situation and introduce myself since a lot of people seem to think I'm a scammer.

My real name is Cencia and I am from Wisconsin. I am 23 and mother to a 1 year old boy.

So my situation. I am in need of 0.28 btc which can be paid back by 10/18/19, I'll even throw in an extra $100 or so. I can show proof of my identity: passport, Id, a selfie holding the id. I can also show proof that I can pay it back: my bank account and investment account. Lastly, proof I will pay it back: password to my wallet, escrow.

I was also just scammed myself of $300 by someone who claimed they needed security deposit before they could loan me, now I have nothing. I can also show proof of that.

I AM ALSO WILLING TO PUT UP MY INVESTMENT ACCOUNT AS COLLATERAL.

I hope someone understands and can help.
Wait what? you are putting up your investment account as collateral? How does that work in the case that you fail to return the money? Who will be in control of this investment account? This is hazy to say the least

40  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin adoption rising in NGO sector: Report on: October 10, 2019, 11:09:30 AM
see

https://decrypt.co/9966/bitcoin-cryptocurrency-adoption-ngo-chaarity-report

Quote
The number of charities accepting crypto donations has doubled in North America, Europe and Australia, says the 2019 Global NGO Technology Report.

But the numbers are still small. While the number of charities accepting crypto donations has doubled in North America, Europe and Australia, cryptocurrencies still form only 2 percent of total donations.

Africa has the largest amount of NGOs accepting crypto with 5 percent, Asia follows with 4 percent, while Latin America trails with 1 percent.

The real question is whether the NGOs immediately sell their crypto for fiat, or whether they then use it to buy services in the target sector using crypto. lf they did the latter, then adoption would soar in places like Africa.
I loved this report because it points out one of the sectors of the world economy that crypto can truly disrupt and bring change to. Aids usually travel across borders and oceans from the funders to beneficiaries and in so doing it has to jump through countless hoops, crypto can ease this burden by being the much needed digital pipeline. Also, the aid sector is usually shrouded in mystery as in some instances there is no clear evidence that the donors' funds have been put to the intended use and this can be solved by deploying smart contracts.

The real challenge lies with developers and techies to build the much needed digital infrastructure that can aid this process by making exchanging and transferring of crypto assets easy for NGOs. This answers your question as to whether NGOs are selling their crypto for fiat as soon as they receive it or are they using it to pay for services, in Africa there are a few or next to none service providers who accept crypto as payment so NGOs here end up just exchanging as soon as they receive it. What is needed in infrastructure and simpler usability processes that makes adoption and acceptance easier.
