Ciao! Mi sono fatto due conti "della serva" per capire quanto vale realmente oggi una AsicMiner Block Erupter USB. Per facilitare i conti e visto che alcune informazioni future non sono prevedibili, i miei presupposti sono stati i seguenti: - che la difficoltà aumenti del 20% ogni 15 giorni ; - che il mese sia composto sempre da 30 giorni; Basandomi su questo ed ipotizzando di avere oggi in mano una Erupter, ecco quanto guadagnerei minando in un anno:  minando per un anno si racimolerebbe poco meno di mezzo Bitcoin (ipotizzando costi zero di corrente e di ammortamenti hardware). Al di sopra dei 0,5 bitcoin quindi acquistare questi deliziosi oggettini (ammetto che sono molto tentato) è praticamente inutile. Resta da valutare la 'scommessa' di comprarli, farli minare per un paio di mesi e poi rivenderli su ebay sperando di avere complessivamente un piccolo utile... Which server are you connecting to? And have you tried connecting with other servers?
To connect with a server, switch to the Classic GUI and click on the Green Dot at the lower right corner of the window.
It was on random. Yes, i tried to connect to other servers, but nothing changed. |

I solved my problem with pywallet, now even the web version works, it was my fault.
In the output format i didn't insert the file name, i filled it just with the dir. Sorry...
Unfortunately i din't solve my early problem (missing transactions after importation).
In "Data to print" field i write only "sec"... so can you tell me what exactly are all the rows that i get in the output file?
Are they all private keys used by my old client? If they are, do they include even private keys of the (hidden) change addresses?

There isn't any associated balance to the address that i have in Receive tab. How to see it? Anyway now it is just missing a transaction, the one underlined in red in my previous post. Your procedure should be the best way to collect all addresses (including change ones) from the Bitcoin-Qt client. ...but it seems to skip something because it doesn't take over that transaction  PS: Have i to register one of the addresses on btcbalance? EDIT: i solve the problem with pywallet. I follow the procedure you linked me last time: In Bitcoin-qt you would only dump 1 key at a time. Use pywallet instead  Install pywallet dependencies(see: https://github.com/jackjack-jj/pywallet) Then: mkdir pywallet

python pywallet.py --web Next: Open your browser and navigate to localhost:8989 Search the dump keys part and write only "sec" on the export format. I imported them to Electrum (about 10 private keys can't be imported, i don't know why), but the balance is still wrong and that transaction is still missing. Why? Arghhhhhh EDIT2: if i try to send a payment i get this message: "wallet not synchronized". |

I tried to avoit "Never used" blocks but it is a very huge file. Any parameter to avoid to write these address to the output? In addition, why the web version doesn't work? "Dump your wallet" does this and returns the result in JSON, "Dump you keys" returns a CSV file
Don't bother, just answer the following question and I'll tell you what to do:
How do you import private keys into Electrum? ie do you type the "fac86293d82838..." private key by hand?
I just click on Import -> Private Keys. Am i wrong? |

You are trying to dump keys to a CSV, is it what you really want to do?
If not (or if in doubt), use "Dump your wallet"
If you really want to use CSV export, tell me and I'll tell you what to do
I need all private keys, including those of hidden change address, for importing my balance, addresses and history to Electrum. As i'm trying to do here. |

Hello,
I can't dump keys. I installed pywallet but when I click on "Dump Keys" (on web page) i get "File not written" error.
Maybe it happens because .bitcoin directory is a symlink. So i tried to enter the right path, but the same error occurs.
How can i solve this?

How to import change addresses?

I can't say for sure it will solve the problem, but there is no harm in trying. The change addresses seem to be empty, anyway, given that you say your balance is correct. About my situation, i had 2 addresses (i verified it with "listreceivedbyaddress" command) in Qt client and i dumped both private keys and then imported them in Electrum.
