21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Atheios - A PoW Ethereum Network with No Premine on: May 16, 2018, 10:06:46 PM
Its probably not the best to be the voice of a new coin while you have avatars / signatures promoting a different coin. If you're going to be the bitcoin ann voice of Atheios you should probably have avatar / signatures of Atheios otherwise it doesn't really look like you're committed to the new project you're hoping other people adopt and invest in.
22  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][PASL]-[PASCAL Lite]-[The Future is Almost Here] on: May 15, 2018, 09:18:38 PM
Are you guys making any progress on an algo change or is this project more or less dead? There hasn't been any update in months as to what is happening with the coin?
23  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] DERO FIRST SSL BLOCKCHAIN: CryptoNote Privacy + Smart Contracts on: May 13, 2018, 10:39:45 PM
is the pool broken, I see 2000 h/s generating only .12 dero = ~20 cents per day

Dero network is currently running piles of ASIC making GPU mining impossible. You have to wait a week or four till they release their new update which will boot the ASICs off the network and make GPU mining profitable again.
24  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Expanse (EXP) - 1st Stable fork of Ethereum on: May 12, 2018, 09:50:44 PM
2miners recently published this.

How to Mine Expanse: Complete Guide and Profitability

https://2miners.com/blog/how-to-mine-expanse-complete-guide-and-profitability/

How to mine EXP.. mine ETH on miningpoolhub and autoexchange to EXP lol. Thats what I did for a while cuz i'd get like 1.25x what I could mine daily mining EXP directly Tongue When EXP jumped a lot and it was more profitable than ETH i was actually pretty angry Cheesy

What is your plan for inflation? At 13 second blocks with 13 coin reward per block you're looking at over 31 million coins a year. Will rewards per block be decreased year over year or is the inflation rate permanent? Is there a limit to the amount of coins that will be produced?
26  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] DERO FIRST SSL BLOCKCHAIN: CryptoNote Privacy + Smart Contracts on: May 10, 2018, 04:27:02 PM
So are the block rewards halving every year for 8 years till we get to the yearly infinite inflation rate?

The block reward is smoothly varying

What does that mean lol Tongue is that a fancy way of saying its going to halve every year Wink
27  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: PhoenixMiner 2.9e: fastest Ethereum/Ethash miner with lowest devfee (Windows) on: May 10, 2018, 04:14:13 PM
Is there a chance that 3.0 will have dual mine (preferably keccak/blake2s) ?

I do not understand why many people have the dual mining function waiting for phoenixminer 3.0, it is still possible with calymore dual miner. but what do you shoot with dual mining, costs much more energy and also less hashrate for eth and minimal earnings with the second coin.what do you shoot with this.i personally prefer a miner software that is economical with energy and stable works and high hashrate and more schares eth

Agreed.  I have little experience with mining, but lots tuning PC's with Windows and Ubuntu.  I've tried and tried tweaking the settings on both miners.  With Claymore's dual miner my ETH hashrate drops 10%, and the additional DCR only makes up for a mere fraction of of the loss.  Energy usage is the same regardless of which mining software I use.  So, obviously I'm sticking to phoenix.  Dual mining, at least Claymore's miner, just don't make cent$.

Dual mining is dead. ASICs killed that months ago. Nothing I've seen is profitable dual mining vs solo mining. Not only doesn't it cover the extra power used, it loses money, an increases heat. The dev of Phoenix should have stopped code for dual mining once it became clear it wasn't profitable anymore and focused on a linux version for the larger farms.

So about that Linux version? That coming anytime soon?
30  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: who bought bitmain Z9 will face a big issues now on: May 05, 2018, 11:35:12 PM
Bitmain has been mining these for at least six months. So if you fork then they Asic the fork and once again get to benefit for 6 months or more. Until they release the z10 or whatever.

I can understand the hate maybe towards the s9 because of the power requirements but this is 300w.

So I don't get the hate. Either you are buying from Nvidia or you are buying from bitmain. What's the difference really. There are groups buying 1000+ GPU.

Imagine if no equihash coins forked. Are you telling me those same groups wouldn't be clamoring to buy as many z9 as possible?

Bitmain could easily dumpster any coin that planned a fork. Cool you forked but not before they mined half your coins. Obviously that's hyperbole.

Making these coins actually useful should be the ultimate goal.

Also, come on devs, looking at AMD and Nvidia sales reports should have been clue#1 where the increase in difficulty came from.

1 post , is this bitmain ceo?

With Billions of dollars in excess capital i think its safe to say they likely have troll farms advocating for ASICs lol They'd be stupid not to but its annoying either way.

I don't see how Zcash don't fork.. they'll destroy their own user base and likely end up sued on multiple continents for lying to their users to get them to invest in their network then throwing them under the bus. The large Nvidia miners who invested in Nvidia rigs to mine Zcash because of what their company stated aren't going to just shrug their shoulders and move on.
31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: DIY FPGA Mining rig for any algorithm with fast ROI on: May 04, 2018, 02:03:57 PM
OP said these cards take 100w - 160w.. they'll be profitable on something for a while. People aren't going to mine algos with GPUs that lose money lol From the sounds of it these cards will remain profitable long after GPUs are no longer possible. The arguments here are cost vs hashrate vs GPUs.. but you have to remember that the GPUs will consume significantly more power than the equivalent hashrate of a GPU rig. You're also repeating yourself over and over again which honestly seems like you're attempting to just scare people off from the idea of using these cuz 'muh ASICS are coming for everything'. I think everyones aware of what happens to other cryptos when ETH either goes ASIC or Proof of stake.. the insane amount of hashrate pointed at ETH will move. Markets adapt.. at this point I think a lot of anti ASIC cryptos are getting annoyed with these ASIC companies and will likely create a plan to have backup algos slightly modified to switch to prior to an ASIC being released for their current algo. The current ETH ASIC aren't super awesome. At 800 they're decent but add on shipping an a PSU and it pushes the price up.. they can't just flood the market with these or they'll kill the profitability on ETH and they won't sell more of them or possibly annoy ETH devs to the point they really do fork. If anything the current ETH ASIC is likely just going to put a cap on the profitability of ETH.. when ETH increases significantly and GPUs are scarce they'll be able to dump another round of ETH ASICs on the market essentially capping the profit at a certain point to a certain extent.
32  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: DIY FPGA Mining rig for any algorithm with fast ROI on: May 03, 2018, 11:52:03 AM
What kind of hashrate can these cards get on equihash?
33  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] DERO FIRST SSL BLOCKCHAIN: CryptoNote Privacy + Smart Contracts on: May 03, 2018, 12:13:09 AM
Dero is all ASICs right now.. until they release their update in like a month. Until then all we can do is cheerlead from the side lines an hope they fork to cryptonight v7 (cuz i have rx rigs and rx cards got a bump in hashrate from cryptonight to cryptonight v7 lol) Tongue
34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][NO-PREMINE][EtherGEM] An ethereum network with a different view. on: May 02, 2018, 11:40:52 PM
Ethash ASICs aren't a threat. They are a little cheaper than building a GPU rig but a GPU rig is more power efficient than the Ethash ASICs.. 6x rx 570 / 580 can hash 180mhs for 600-750w if properly modded / settings.. an the ASIC is 180mhs 800w. The price for the ethash ASIC is cheaper up front.. but has no real resell value and can't mine other algos. There isn't any reason to change algos unless they start mass producing the ASICs and dumping them on the market.

Glad you guys got Egem on an exchange with volume.

You guys should add a mining calculator on your pool page so people get an idea of how many coins they should be mining for their hashrate based off the difficulty without having to calculate it all manually.

Are you guys planning to create a GUI wallet anytime in the near future?
35  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][POOL] Mining Pool Hub - Multipool. Multialgo, Auto Exchange to any coin. on: April 24, 2018, 05:15:49 PM
I'm not exactly sure what happened but I have 2 rigs on ethOS and 1 rig on windows. I was mining monero v7 yesterday. I use ethman to monitor it all. I had all 3 systems connected to us-east.cryptonight-hub.miningpoolhubcom:20580 they were all mining without any rejected shares. I woke up an checked my payout an it was substantially lower than it should have been. The ethOS rigs have 24 cards.. the windows rig has 4. So i went to the dashboard for monero and it only showed the windows rig hashate the 2 ethOS rigs had workers but showed no hashrate on the dashboard. It showed nothing hashing for the ethOS rigs even though ethman showed them connected and hashing submitting accepted shares. So I basically mined for half a day and didn't receive anything. Has anyone else experienced this on miningpoolhub monero ethos claymore-xmr?

Why is the network hashrate fluctuating so much so quick so often?
37  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Crypto is dead because credit card companies stop crypto purchases on: April 05, 2018, 02:49:26 AM
If you bought 10,000.00 worth of ripple at 3.00 and it dropped.. you don't owe the IRS anything. You owe the IRS on PROFIT you made from Crypto not losses. If you gambled a large amount on credit with high interest you're an idiot. Countless movies have been made about bookies killing idiots who gambled money they couldn't afford to lose / pay. Its not the fault of the team you bet on that you lost money you couldn't afford to lose on credit.
38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] DERO FIRST SSL BLOCKCHAIN: CryptoNote Privacy + Smart Contracts on: April 05, 2018, 01:39:41 AM
Are these cryptonight ASICs going to be a problem on Dero Network?

That dude throwing a fit about Dero not open sourcing their work clearly just wants to copy the code an fork it. Or he has a larger team that can move faster on the code then the current team behind Dero and take first mover advantage away from them. They'd be insane to release their code into the wild before they are firmly in the first mover category which would include functional smart contracts and a team hired or multiple teams hired to help innovate. This dudes seems salty him and his team aren't smart enough to implement smart contracts on cryptonight themselves but is more than willing to take the work to benefit himself. Seriously what do you think the odds would be that the creators of Dero would abandon the project and not release their work into the wild? Zero thats the odds unless all 3 of them got struck by lightening at the same time and died lol. Nothing this guy has been complaining about is logical or would justify them open sourcing the project this early.

stocks.exchange needs a DERO/ETH instead of just a DERO/BTC listing. I don't use BTC an going through the added step of converting to BTC to buy DERO just annoys me
