261  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Help: How do I sign a message using my blockchain.info address on: August 13, 2013, 06:30:58 PM
But the key should be sent as well, shouldn`t it???

Received a few PMs about USB hubs, here's a good thread on it: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=253749.0

example of a signed message:

and this is what you'd PM me by copying from above example:

That's it!!!
--------------------------
how to send a shipping label:
I'm writing up some basic instructions to add to this post... you will essentially download that pdf label from usps and email it to canary.btc@gmail.com (email used for labels only, contact with questions via PM here)
in the body of the email, you will have 4 things:
1. transaction id of your order
2. 1st payment address of the transaction
3. tracking number (no spaces)
4. Signature (your will sign ONLY the tracking # from item #3)
additionally, if you use this method, you no longer need to PM me shipping address as a signed message.  trying to make things simpler for all.
I will check that the tracking number in item 3 matches the label exactly.
--------------------------
guidelines for your own labels:

small priority box fits 14 USB miners
medium priority box fits 100 USB miners
large priority box first 140 USB miners
20 USB miners fit into a flat-rate padded envelope

--------------------------
If you are a re-seller on eBay or other outlets, I can handle your shipping of USB miners.
- you sell
- send me the appropriate label (pdf) you generate for your sold order.
- I ship from zip 60181
- you pay me a handling fee for handling each order (negotiated).
- sit back and relax... don't bother shipping. I do that with my elves for you.

all you need to do is pay for and reserve a specific amount of units that are yours in my inventory.  I can extend credit to you and make a larger reservation initially.  so that you can use those 50 btc per day from coinbase daily and make use of negotiated credit terms.

contact me to enter into such an arrangement.  previous large purchasers will have easier starting credit terms with me  Grin

Thanks,

Canary

264  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: what is the best mining hardware for 1000 us dollars on: August 11, 2013, 07:37:58 PM
So,basically for BTC you guys suggesting the USB miners in bulk/ like 100  piece instead of the unsure other basic options ?
hell no

if i was mining BTC, I wouldn't buy anything.  if you insist on buying something though, you should buy 7790's or 7950's.  there have been 7950's for under $200 in the last 2 weeks or so.  i'm thinking they're a better buy than the 7790's now.

why?  because the USB crap will lose its value fast, and it's good for nothing but bitcoin mining.  while your video cards will basically mine two things (jack and shit), at least you can resell them for a good percentage of their original purchase price

Correction, USB miners can mine anything with SHA-256 algorithm. So, it`s not just for mining bitcoins, but also for alts. I say mine alts and just sit on em for a bit.

266  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / USB mining: Pool vs Solo on: August 10, 2013, 09:42:45 PM
I`m sure this is a noob question, but which is the better option for usb mining: mining with a pool or mining solo? Lets say you have around 30 or so block erupters. If pool is the most profitable, which pool is the best? recommendations?

Hi! I`m gonna be mining with a bunch of usb block erupters and I was wondering which usb hub is best suited for this task. I`ve heard good things about the D-link hub, but I was wondering whether a cheaper hub with a separate power supply would be a better option, Any suggestions?

Hi! I`m located in the NY area and am looking for a nice little startup rig for under 10BTC. I would preferably deal with an offer to exchange goods in person, but offers that require shipping are also welcome.
276  Other / Beginners & Help / Newbie restrictions on: August 04, 2013, 06:24:15 AM
Does anyone else feel like these restrictions put on us "newbies" are a little too harsh. I wasn`t given these term at the Litecoin forum Wink. So, There`s something to think about. Maybe a little policy reversal? I mean at least make PM`s available to newly registered members. Cut us newbies some slack Cheesy
