Hey guys,
I plan on selling some of my altcoins in the near future. Instead of converting it to fiat, I will rather convert it to BTC and stablecoins. I hear a lot of concerns regarding USDT, which is why I want to ask you guys what stablecoin you prefer to hold?

For now I still like USDT stable tokens, I still believe in them, so I still keep USDT up to now, so if I may know what concerns have you heard about USDT so far? If you look at the article jawhead is linking to, my concerns are pretty much summed up there. |

I have been lurking for the past couple of years. I have discovered a pattern I would like to share. When there is a bull run on Bitcoin, the quality of the topics on bitcointalk takes a turn for the worse. Is there no moderation in terms of removing completely irrelevant or just plain stupid topics? If I remember corretcly the moderation was a bit stricter back in the days. I find myself wasting so much time digging through shitpiles of topics in search for a gem. “Then stop digging and find another home” you might say. Well, this is the OG, so I would rather not have to.
If you have such a hard-on for getting smarter, then you'll be more than welcome in the technical side of the forum. If you're reading Politics & Society, Off-Topic, Bitcoin Discussion things get dumb really fast. You're also part of the problem. Your topic/post complaining about low quality posts is a low quality post. It doesn't really belong in Bitcoin discussion, it belongs in Meta because it's about the bitcoin forum. My strong side is not the technical side of Bitcoin. Honestly much of the technology behind Bitcoin is gibberish to me. However, what fascinates me about Bitcoin is the ideology behind. I don't consider this topic to be a low quality topic. It is a real concern regarding the part of the forum where it is posted. What kind of question could be more relevant?  |

I invested in Polkadot and already earned 50% congratulations, but have you sold your Polkadot yet? Because now the price of Polkadot has risen even higher, but if you haven't sold your Polkadot then you better still HOLD, because I believe the price of Polkadot can still increase even higher, so my advice is if you want to sell your Polkadot, then you better not sell 100% Polkadot that you have, because the price of Polkadot can still increase very high and give you a bigger profit. So he should hold because you “think” the price will go up? Please elaborate on why you think it will go up. What a dumpster post. because Polkadot ROI is only around 500%, so Polkadot ROI can still increase again (almost all altcoin that are in the top 10 on coinmarketcap, have an ROI of more than 1000%), besides that the market has not yet had a bull run, but Polkadot price has increased very high, so if an incident like January 2018 happens again (bull run), then of course the price of Polkadot will increase even higher than the current price and can even make new ATH price again. So it will go up based on the fact that it has only given a 500% roi? The devs really should reconsider introducing negative merit. |

OT:
Polkadot is heavily overpriced. Market cap of 15 bil $ is waaaaay too high. However, with so much liquidity flowing into cryptocurrencies right now, the price will probably still go up.

If you own a share in a company you have a voting right. For many crypto projects I have invested in this is not the case.
mentally. And thats it. Voting power? And what can I do as 0.000001% owner of Alphabet Inc. ? Pay 2000$ for ticket, spend 30 h in plane to go for shareholders meeting to say that I don't like how youtube is censoring and demonetizes videos that was never targeted and kids for not kid friendly content? What will that change? You own just a piece of paper. Owning 0,000001% of a company is enough to force the CEO and board of directors to hear out your opinion. Doesn’t matter if you are a minoriy og majority shareholder. That is imo pretty special. However, I get that this is pure theory in many countries, as the cost and time spent participating is too much. But in many european countries, Denmark for example, logistics isn’t a problem. |

(hot air) This also means that the risk when investing in crypto is way bigger.

News are unfortunately not interesting unless it creates FUD. FUD sells newspapers. Crypto is in the spotlight right now because of all the money going into it. News reacts to this with FUD. No need to be surprised. 😊

I don’t think that the banks will succeed. However, as they fail to succeed I think that they will somewhat be much more likely to accept Bitcoin as a real asset. I get why the banks think like they do right now. Decentralization means less revenue, less regulation and less power, which must be kind of scary from their perspective.

I think a part of the problem for many of the ICO’s in early 2018 was that the value of the Ethereum raised during the ICO was worth much less in the aftermarket, which affected the efficiency of the projects. At the same time the team behind RED has done a ridiculously poor job on the marketing side. However, this could very well change soon, as the product is ready for release soon. At the same time it has a market cap of just 1,3 mil, which means it is heavily undervalued compared to other projects in this space. |

I have bought at both 25k, 30k, 35k and 40k. Without the slightest regrets. I have done this from an investors pow, not a traders pow. |

I invested in Faceter. It is either going to be a smashing succes - or die a quick death. I hope for the first.  One thing that got me a bit worried though, was the video of the office just before the launch of pre-sale. The office and desks were complete empty. Like it was just a set made for the filming. The only piece of hardware visible, was a camera in the development department. I have seen a lot of development departments in real life, but none as empty as this. I saw this after I had already invested, so I hope that I am dead wrong.  |

I am so in love with this project.
Normally I have pretty strict rules in terms of portfolio balance. However, MWAT is now dominating my portfolio at the cost of BTC as a long term hold.
