41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: War affects the Entire Cryptocurrency? on: January 12, 2020, 05:41:13 AM
The war between American and Iran may not be the sole reason for the slight upward movement of Bitcoin. Though, it's possible some persons could choose to convert their fiat to Bitcoin to ease the process of changing into other countries fiat. I still believe that there's more to the bitcoin upward value than the war between Iran and United States.
42  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Year of changed altcoin discussion mentality on: January 08, 2020, 02:13:36 AM
You made a good point, we need to develop a better understanding of the purpose of this platform and walk in that light. Our discussion patterns should be evident of the purpose of the forum bearing in mind that several eyes on the platform and decisions could be made considering the discussions made on this platform.
43  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Danger that awaits few coins on: January 08, 2020, 02:08:26 AM
In my opinion, you need to understand that every project cannot have a use case for the entire public. While some are useful for the entire public, just like bitcoin which is a major means of payment, others could be limited to an exchange, just like bnb. The major goal is to be useful. Let's channel it down. Every human being is useful, some persons may be at the helm of affair, piloting World issues, while others national and some more local. Every person cannot be as relevant as president of the United States.

45  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Quality or Price? - which one you look when buying altcoins? on: January 05, 2020, 03:08:24 PM
If I'm to choose between quality and price of a token to consider making an investment, I'll go with the quality of the project. This is because the price of most tokens are volatile and could drop substantially, but the quality of the project would determine the longevity of the project and in most cases when the project has a very good use case the price would increase with time.
46  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coin you love to see die soon and why? on: January 05, 2020, 03:04:48 PM
The token I would love to see die is btcone, I hold a large amount of tokens but was surprised when I got to know that the token has been swapped and all the tokens in my wallet is now useless. I feel very sad as I wasn't aware of the swap and the project could have made the swap period longer to give more persons the opportunity to participate in the swap arrangements.
47  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why lots of people got scam easily on: January 05, 2020, 03:00:38 PM
There's no doubt that greed is one of the most popular vices which has lead many to be victims of scam projects. There are several ways to which these scam activities are made attractive to people. One of such way is through hyips and ponzi schemes which promises investors huge returns with short period of time with the deception of using the invested funds for forex trading and other non existing activities. We ought to be very careful especially when the returns promised by a scheme seems to good to be true.
48  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin Bleeding on: January 04, 2020, 03:25:51 PM
Indeed, the altcoin market is bleeding. I suppose its as a result of the distrust of investors in the market and new projects most especially. I'm of the opinion that the bleeding would be over in no distant time as this year seems promising for the cryptocurrency space, based on the information I have. We still need to remain positive as the cryptocurrency industry has so much to offer.
49  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Just a quick warning on: January 04, 2020, 02:01:32 PM
No matter how promising a project might look, especially if they are new projects just look them as if they have nothing to offer and invest only what you can afford to lose. Do not keep your eggs in one basket, do you fall in love with a single coin, no matter how good they are always keep digging, many more good gems won't hurt than relying on a single gem 💍. Be smart
You gave a plausible warning. In fact, I've always heard that it's unwise to keep all your eggs on a basket. It's a sound investment principle to diversify and don't depend on only one single source of income. Its also a good idea to only invest what you're willing to loose., the cryptocurrency space is highly volatile and there's no promise or assurance on any project or coin.
50  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is this really a good plan? on: January 04, 2020, 01:57:04 PM
Few of my colleagues told me they quit bounty because many new projects are finding it very difficult to reach soft cap and those who manages to reach softcap ends up listing on ridiculous exchanges because of listing fee, a part of me feels like they are right because if a new project fails to aim for top exchange its game over,  the question now is why promoting new projects then?

It may not be far from the truth to say that bounty programmes are not very lucrative. This is because most of projects are actually not performing too well in terms of tokensales and returns on investment. I understand some projects are doing well, but it's barely 25% of the projects that we can say are performing above average.
51  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best way to protect your crypto against a natural disaster? on: January 03, 2020, 08:37:12 PM
It's actually funny, reading the post on protective measure for cryptocurrency against natural disaster. I personally won't go through the tedious step of protecting my cryptocurrency wallet when there's a natural disaster. I believe the persons that would be eager to protect their cryptocurrency would be those with substantial value of tokens
52  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Beware of browsers add-ons on: January 03, 2020, 01:21:07 PM
I've personally had a bad experience with browsers add-ons, I remember vividly, the attack on my ethereum on Google chrome browser which made me loose a substantial amount of ethereum as a result of the compromise on my browser ethereum wallet. It feels really painful each time I remember the experience.
53  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why lots of people got scam easily on: January 03, 2020, 01:16:53 PM
The rate at which people get scammed in the cryptocurrency space is alarming. I'm in support of the opinion that it's basically as a result of greed. The Cryptocurrency space is one of the industry which people join to make quick money and I guess that's why they're willing to invest in anything that promises a Fortune.
54  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is there any change this year? on: January 03, 2020, 12:53:23 PM
I entered the new year with a positive outlook for cryptocurrency and an intensive desire to take advantage of the price swings which I believe we would come to see any moment from now. The Cryptocurrency industry is getting better and the users or Enthusiasts are supposed to be better off.

56  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BCNEX - "SCAM" Withdrawals are no longer available. on: December 31, 2019, 05:49:45 AM
I still have funds in bcnex and on logging yesterday, I noticed that withdrawals are not available for all the cryptocurrency on the exchange, I'm certain that the exchange has an issue and need to suspend withdraw to fix the challenge. I'm certain that this would be corrected ones the issue has been resolved.
57  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why do people still fall victim to obvious scam? on: December 30, 2019, 07:14:41 AM
Why do people still fall victims to obvious scams? Especially on twitter people are still sending bitcoin to traders, no one is a perfect trader, do not send bitcoin or other coins to people to trade for you, its stupid and foolish idea

Today a bitcoin trader on twitter exit scam and delete all traces off social media, i heard its about 53bitcoin, here is the link to the news

Pls stop, there is no such thing as easy money, its either you learn or you quit or else you will keep losing money

When I see people making stupid mistakes, I wonder whether the Scammer utilizes hypnosis to subdue their victims. The rate at which people are easily deceived is alarming. I'm still surprised on how people still agree to twitter obvious scam when they're aware that posts could be deleted and traces cleaned.
58  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Libra coin alive or dead? on: December 30, 2019, 07:10:28 AM
There was a rapid growth in bitcoin price in last 2-3 months when it was announced Facebook is going to launch its own coin, called libra coin,
Now its already in cold store, due to US and EU agencies interference.

I saw in coin market cap, its only general information about libra coin, but no technical data is available yet.

I remember the hype that came with the news on libracoin, I even learnt that there's still plans to launch the project by next year being 2020, though am sceptical about the project due to the issue with United States government and other regulatory authorities. I do hope that the project is set rolling as soon as possible.
59  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Vitalik Buterin makes a new statement. What do you think about this? on: December 29, 2019, 04:28:21 AM
Vitalik Buterin proposed an accelerated transfer of the Ethereum blockchain based on the Proof of Work consensus to the “beacon chain” that underlies blockchain architecture using sharding. The update proposed by Vitalik will require only light clients without state preservation (stateless clients), but he will not need miners. This will require significantly fewer changes at the architecture level.

I'm of the opinion that this development is a good one and would make the ethereum blockchain more attractive for users. The fact that miners won't be needed could serve as a pragmatic solution towards the end of high transaction costs and help to make the speed of transactions faster.
60  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how to avoid fraudulent projects? on: December 29, 2019, 04:14:27 AM
It's a known fact that bounty hunters are only interested in promoting projects for a reward. Any project that is willing to give a good reward would be promoted, so investors should not be considering the fact that the project has a very good review as a condition for validity.
