Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best performing "old" coins on the market?
|
on: August 15, 2020, 11:48:31 AM

If I'm to hold on to any old coin, my best bet will be bitcoin and ethereum. Bitcoin is the first cryptocurrency and happens to be the oldest, but have strived to remain relevant despite the ups and downs of the market. Ethereum on the other hand, is my best altcoin and I learnt it was brought to life around 2015 which makes it also an old project. I would rather hold on to coin that has the potential to give me a better reward.

Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin reach to $100K ?

I understand that Bitcoin has the potential to get to any amount, but it would take a while to get bitcoin trading at $100k. Bitcoin has been bullish this year and hopefully we would get another ATH before the end of the year. I would love to have bitcoin trading at a much higher value, but we need to understand that predictions are mere opinions.

Don't give me false hope, I need answers, is it a wise move to hold on to a coin that have continuous development but bad value? Or should I dump for other coin? I'm already in a big loss from 3000$ to 400$ presently, the continuous development is why I still hold on. This good or bad ? The project name is (Switch) aka ESH
I must confess that you're a loyal holder. In fact you're a good man and deserve an accolade for staying with the project despite the overwhelming drop in value. It's sincerely not worth selling now, because you're be at loss and would regret your decision if the project picks. I'll advise that you remain loyal to the project and hopefully your loyalty would pay off.

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Reason hunters dump reward as soon as received. Trust Exchange etc
|
on: August 14, 2020, 07:19:30 PM

In my opinion, bounty hunters are not very objective when it comes to deciding on whether to dump a token received from bounties or not. They are more concerned about the returns to be derived from the project. When the reward is worth the hussle, they dump and move on, there are more jobs to be done and bills have to be paid. Bounty hunters are short sighted and rarely wait for long term when they are aware that the project can become worthless tomorrow.

The increase in the value of ethereum does not seem to be a surprise for me, because I saw it coming from the beginning of this month. Ethereum has shown a great sign to pump much harder this year. The ethereum 2.0 is yet to commence and we're over 100% higher, with the phase 0 of the project, ethereum should be clocking $1,000 for a start.

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: UNISWAP MADNESS

I've been wondering why uniswap became popular all of a sudden and now I know. I've come to realise that most people in this space are only interested in making money and several does not give a damn about the risk involved. Uniswap got her recognition from allow every project to list without any formality and since its a decentralized platform people took it upon themselves to create projects for the pump and dump schemes and several persons are getting burnt but hoping to win some day. I only hope that we can be wise and let go of these unnecessary consequences.

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Safest cryptocurrency wallets

From my understanding of wallets, you can get your wallet to safety, if you're in charge of your private key and mnemonic phrase. Every wallet that gives you this option can be said to be safe. But the safety is limited to your ability to keep your private keys safe. There are several wallet that gives us access to our private keys, the Web wallet, mobile wallet, paper wallet and every other wallet can be compromised when the wrong person gets access to the right information.

If bounties were restricted to few persons, the reward would have been more substantial than what we have now, some projects are so conscious of giving hunters peanut, so when a campaign doesn't get a certain amount of participation, they slash the reward to ensure that the hunters gets a small amount of tokens after the participation and that's unfair.

I'm actually not certain of when most of the projects coin I hold was established, I know bitcoin came into life in 2009, but for ethereum, litecoin, dogecoin and Ripple, I really do not know. I once read that ethereum came to life in 2015, but I wasn't in the space then and haven't verify that. It's our hope for every coin we hold to increase in value and I believe that ethereum would make us proud, just like bitcoin in 2017.

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why do some people stop their crypto project?
|
on: August 11, 2020, 02:26:09 PM

Some persons think that setting up a project is as simple as getting a smart contract tokens. Most projects lack a good bedrock or foundation. They are built on wishes and not hardwork. It takes a great deal of effort to become a developer and strive to fix real life issues. Most projects don't even have a sellable product. I read some whitepaper and wonder how such a product could fly. They are basically interested in getting the funds and after few months they abandon the project because they don't have content or anything to offer.

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Compare Withdrawal Fees before you trade on a Exchange
|
on: August 11, 2020, 12:41:10 PM
|
It's a good strategy to compare prices of withdrawal as well as the least amount of tokens to be withdrawn, before making decisions on the exchange to use. This would help prevent the loss of funds for users who are withdrawing a small amount. Secondly, some exchange make withdrawal too expensive, some blockchain like dogecoin transaction fee is 1 dogecoin, its criminal for an exchange to charge 1500 dogecoin for a withdrawal that was effected with less than 1 dogecoin.

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 21 Best Cryptocurrency to buy in 2020

on: August 11, 2020, 12:34:05 PM

Investment in cryptocurrency is quite risky and one needs to be very careful and knowledgeable about a project before making any financial commitment. I believe that the best crypto to invest in is bitcoin because it holds a critical position in the cryptocurrency market. I personally would invest in the first five choice than go for the 21.

It's quite unfortunate that people still fall for cheap scam like this. When I see people get duped from giveaways, I ask myself why didn't they ask the giver to give them 50% instead of the lump sum. They wanted to get their funds double within a short period, forgetting that there are no free funds. Its a case of greed , if looking closely.
