All my miners are running slower now since your last restart.  I'll investigate and see if I can work out why!
62  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: New Miner... possible functionality on: May 30, 2011, 12:35:54 PM
I'm keen to beta test.   I have some multi GPU rigs setup which I can test out for you.  If it means finder a more efficient way to mine then all the better for us all Smiley
63  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: MinerStatus 0.7.3 on: May 30, 2011, 12:31:48 PM
Thanks for adding swepool Cheesy
64  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: getting "Warning: work queue empty, miner is idle." on: May 30, 2011, 12:09:08 PM
First try increase your askrate.  If using poclbm add -a10 and work your way down.  I use -a4 in some instances.

Nice work!  I like Smiley
66  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Next Best GPU? on: May 30, 2011, 06:54:05 AM
IMO the 6970 will become the next best $/MH card available

Swepool is down for me now........testing from several locations!

I should clarify, website down but mining still operational

Seems to be going well now.  4 x 5870's totally 1.5GH on average.  I can live with that Smiley
71  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: New miner looking for some starting advice. on: May 30, 2011, 12:39:34 AM
To be honest with that card you probably won't get much more out of it!

You can try playing with the askrate, workload and framerate switches of the miner to see what gives you the best result.

Eg: poclbm -v -w64 -a2 -f1 (then host, user and pass info) and see what you get

Also you can try different driver/SDK versions (what version are you currently running)?

And then there's linux which should give you another 5-10% performance.  You would usually only run that if it's a dedicated miner.

I've got one rig with 2 5870's in it.  Both cards are hashing about ~320MH on swepool but on deepbit with the same settings were getting ~400MH

Any ideas?  I've tried tweaking the askrate down to 2 which improved it to an average of 350.
Try ping swepool.net and see what you get.

About 360ms.  I'm getting that on another PC and hashing at 410MH fine.  My one at home I ping in the 600ms' but with the askrate at 2 I can still hash at 400MH

It probably is just the latency...not much I can do about that one!

Yep offline for me too Sad  Good time to change to swepool.
75  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Installing SDK Ubuntu on: May 29, 2011, 11:34:51 AM
Just repeat the guide but replacing the filename and paths of the 2.1 SDK with 2.4 SDK.  You can find the files on the AMD developer site.

I'll be adding about 1.6-2GH in the next day or so, stay tuned Smiley

Ok no prob. It seems ok now.

Bitcoins.lc has had some DDOS attacks recently, I wonder if ur being targeted too?
78  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [Swepool.net][New server] Pay-per-share, LP, JSON-API, Autopay, Lowest PPS fee! on: May 29, 2011, 12:53:39 AM
Is the pool having problems?  I can't load the website at the moment and my miner has reported a few RPC communication issues but is working right this minute.

Try the Ubuntu guide I posted, it's a bit more clear/straight forward
