1  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum suddenly not working - network status red on: April 30, 2014, 08:44:52 PM
I am having the same problem using the latest windows version, 1.9.8 since this morning.  Tried unchecking auto-connect and manually selecting different servers to connect to but that did not work either.

Update: I rechecked Auto-connect, and now it's syncing again. Hooray!

Believe it or not, George isn't at home, please leave a message at the beep. I must be out or I'd pick up the phone. Where could I be? Believe it or not, I'm not home. [Beeep]

LOL...That was perfect.

5  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [9 TH] Bitparking Pool, DGM 0%,vardiff,stratum,Merge Mining on: February 05, 2014, 06:16:59 PM

I think OP should change dgm 0% to 1,5 % as i think thats the right one? At least for bitcoin-part. And that 9 th/s also to 27-30th/s.

btw: what it would say when cgminer says BLOCK! ? does that mean i found a block or what? It doesnt show that on the pools Im mining at...

when cgminer says BLOCK it means your workers were too busy having lunch and missed it. dock their wages.

LOL

Can one of you show how it's hooks up?
I second that!

To add to Aurel's post (most of this is the same as on his blog):

Supplies:

1) Multimeter ($30 at Radio Shack, a lot cheaper from ebay)
2) Wiring to connect the PSU to your hubs (can also just snip off the plug from one of the cheap 1A/2A power supplies and strip the 2 wires): http://www.mcmelectronics.com/product/27-5990
3) Extra Power strip
4) Philips Screwdriver
5) More common sense than me (I initially bought a 12v PSU and blew up 2 hubs...Yeah - a loud pop and smoke haha)

After getting a power strip and literally just snipping off the plug, you should have 3 wires, strip the insulation off each of them so you have inch or so of exposed/bare (copper?) wiring,

You need enough stripped so you can fit all 3 wires on their respective screws but not too much so when you close the little plastic safety latch there is still enough exposed wire to still end up hitting the wire and shocking yourself.

Green wire connects to  GROUND (the weird symbol)
Black (may also be red) wire connects to L(ine)
White wire connects to N(eutral)

Keep it unplugged.

Get the plugs you ordered -
White wire is + POSITIVE
Black wire is - NEGATIVE

This is how I lined mine up:

+     +     +     -    -    -   So first hub i connected got the 1st positive with the 1st negative, second hub got the 2nd positive with the 2nd negative, etc...
|                   |
---------------

I had more than 3 hubs so i doubled up with +/- terminals.  I think I have 5 connected total.

Make sure voltage switch is set to 110 if you're in the US. Plug in the PSU, it should power on.  Make sure you have a fan on it if it didn't come with one built in. Take the multimeter, touch the black probe to the first negative screw/terminal then touch the red probe to the first positive screw/terminal.   Adjust voltage as needed to make sure it reads 5 and 5.5v.  When you're done, plug in your hubs! And close the plastic safety hatch thing.

This is how I got setup running (40A) and it's been going strong for over a month.  If I have anything wrong here please let me know so I can change it.  Here is a close-up of my PSU:

have been hashing away with 70 erupters using this genssi s-200-5 and for $30 on ebay is unbeatable

Using this PSU as well with 56 block erupters, going strong for over a month.

And don't forget that you can play the markets. Vircurex has more trade options (Altcoins for Altcoins) while MCXnow only offers Altcoins for Bitcoins.
So you can buy altcoins, and if you look at the Vircurex markets, sometimes you can find a loophole where you can buy the altcoin for cheap on MCXnow, then use the altcoin to get cheap DVC on Vircurex. Then take those Devcoin back to MCXnow to make a profit. You really have to pay attention to ALL of the devcoin markets at once to do that though.

Keep in mind Vircurex has posted the following in their news section:

"on November 3rd 2013 we will be disabling the Any-2-Any coin trading, as from then onwords only trades to and from BTC will be supported."

With all the uncertainty and the growing number of devs MIA, you are a fool for leaving coins unattended at any of these exchanges.

Yeah, you're right.  As Bitcoin surges in price we're gonna start seeing another massive wave of hackers hit all the exchanges.

Is this on any exchanges?

Shitcoin? Naw...You want to trade some DVC for shitcoin??  Grin Grin

Last chance --  15 billion shit coins!

https://www.bitmit.net/en/item/69634-15-000-000-000-shitcoin-sht

15000000000 shit coins

these have to be worth more than 0.0000000000006 btc each right??  Thats 12 zeros there.

May I see the ANN?

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=307419.0

there are 100 trillion coins, hence the cheap sell price. also, as the co-creator of the coin, i will add that you are only able to send 99.999 million coins at once from the qt,  and the transaction fee is 10,000 coins per kb, making this the shittiest shitcoin of all time. TIX, IFC and the others have nothing on shitcoin. truly a pile of shit

LOL this shit will never get old.  Love this coin.

I have sent 2 payments (one of 180,000 DVC and one of 145,000 DVC) to my Vircurex account, and both have just DISAPPEARED. Not a SINGLE confirmation. Just NOTHING happening. My wallet says that there are confirmations going through, but my Vircurex is getting no credit and says nothing is coming in.

I'm trying to buy the dragon, but I can't do that without Vircurex...

Here is my Vircurex address, it worked like a week ago:

If anyone is bored and wants to deposit coins in a dead wallet to see what happens, there's the code.

I got that last year. Love it. They even came to my house and did a commercial with me in it. Smiley

Are you in it?! Let me guess...The housewife who speaks really fast and writes novels?!

Just joshing...But I hate that commercial.  It's like 3 minute long and at night sometimes the Military channel will play it 3 commercial breaks in a row. Makes me go crazy.  The chick is pretty cute, not as cute as the cheerleader in the Quibids commercial, though.

Same problem for me as well.  Deposited DVC yesterday and it still hasn't shown up after >70 confirmations.

Is anyone else experiencing that reward payout is not happening?  Had my confirmed reward above the threshold for at least 2 hours and no payout... Wake up slush server, put some more coals into that engine....

Yeah me too
