The bull-run will begin after this massive drop, they said.

Well, there is no bullrun, and the market is going down they after day.

ENJOY YOUR LOSES!!!!!
802  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining , still worth it? on: March 26, 2018, 09:16:42 AM
although that can be true for others, it's not for me. I have a fixed electricity price all the year, so my price is always the same. 0.115€ Kwh x 26% taxes = 0.145€ = 0.18$

In summer, electronics use 30% more electricity than winter, they require more for cooling and safety. In summer is normal for you to see 30% more on your electricity bill.

For example, a mining rig which use 800 watts on winter, will use 940 watts on summer to work the same as the 800 watts on winter. Cold all year long helps to save money on the electricity bill.

although that can be true for others, it's not for me. I have a fixed electricity price all the year, so my price is always the same. 0.115€ Kwh x 26% taxes = 0.145€ = 0.18$

i live by the sea, and that's also a factor to consider. in summer outside can be at 40ºC. That will force me to turn on the air conditioning increasing my electricty cost for the same or less profit than now. Normally you have to turn it on. But 10 gpus generate a lot of heat.

the problem is not holding ETH The problem is that once PoS is applied, what will people with 1 or 2 or maybe 3 coins have to do, if Vitalik applies like 1000 coins to enter in PoS??? They will be forced to sell before PoS at low prices because they can risk of losing it all. Then those cheap coins will be bought by whales to increase their participation in PoS and get more money from smart contracts using ETH.

This strategy is clear as fuck. I see a lot of people buying ETH because they feel ETH will be here. They think once PoS applied you will be able to buy it, sell it, or even trade it. How are you going to be able to do that, if the coin will believe to the chain???

PoS means you , as a participant, will be paid according to the number of coins you attached to the chain. The more coins, the more money to get when companys do smart contracts.  i can believe how dumb people are. Then, when they lose money, they cry like children.

Maybe that's why ETH is the worst top 5 coins performer. While BTC has won 8% in the last week, ETH has lost 9.2% . Reality says this is not gonna end well for ETH.
803  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining , still worth it? on: March 26, 2018, 09:05:07 AM
Summer is coming to europeans, americans and russians and with summer at least 30% more to pay on the electric bill hehe, so if your trollmind says is profitable then you should calculate it again and deduct 30% more from your final net profit hehe

https://whattomine.com/coins/151-eth-ethash?utf8=%E2%9C%93&hr=30.0&p=180.0&fee=2.0&cost=0.2&hcost=450.0&commit=Calculate

Already did the thing for you on the electricity side, looks like your final profit per day per card will be $0.30 but put much lower cause pools steal 30% of your profit so in the end 1 x rx 580 30 mhs will give you $0.20 per day mining 24/7 on summer hehe.  ROI per card extended to 2000 days ehhe

although that can be true for others, it's not for me. I have a fixed electricity price all the year, so my price is always the same. 0.115€ Kwh x 26% taxes = 0.145€ = 0.18$

804  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining , still worth it? on: March 26, 2018, 08:41:51 AM
let me tackle this straight forward to solve this stupid conversation if it's profitable or not.

my 10 gpus (RX 580's and RX 570's) are doing 316,5 mh/s (a very good number TBH). the rig uses around 1500W.  (all undervolted , RX 570 about 830-840mv and RX 580 about 860-880mv at 1240 core). So pretty nice performance.

At this very momment, i would be getting like 0.677 ETH/month according to difficulty status right now (which is BTW hyperbig). Vitalik applied Byzantium when difficulty was about 3. We are now at 3,2-3,3.

my monthly income, at current prices considering this numbers, (+pool fee 1% + stale shares) would be of 347$

When i add to that the cost of electricity 0.18$ / Kwh (i pay in Spain in Euros, so my price is 0,115€ (one of the best, if not THE BEST price here + taxes 26% on top), it gives a total profit after electricity costs of 152$ per month.

if i convert it to € (in Spain we use € not $), i get 122€.

forgot about ROI (yes, i use ROI). At current prices, 2 years. All of my cards were bought in the cheap. my most expensive card, i paid for it 300€. Most of my RX 570 and RX 580 were bought for prices around 205 to 250€ (250$ to 309$). So i didn't even expend a lot of money in the cards. Those people that have bought cards for double that amount (my cards are actually 399€ for RX 570 and 429-459 for RX 580) , well, they are completely REKT right now.

Are you telling me that mining is profitable??? NO, IT'S NOT. You can believe in the future if you want. You can believe and ghosts, in God or whatever fucked up reason to continue mining a coin that will enter PoS in just 3 months from now. You can do it. You can even say that you are going to continue mining because eventually ETH will go up and you´ll get your part from it. You can also believe that if you buy your ticket, you can win the lottery.

BUT, if you consider the situation worldwide, the problems governments and banks are putting to crypto, the technical analysis , the bad news, the regulations, taxes and laws that are planning on destroying anonymity in crypto, being optimistic right now about this is just a FUD to yourself. you are misleading yourself.

The reason why you cannot accept reality, is because it would mean a fail for you. You guys are actually faith blinded. You need to believe in this market because you don't want to accept this. No matter if you are getting little to no profit at all. you believe in something that it's NOT PROFITABLE RIGHT NOW ar at least, not worth the effort.

Psicologist say that many many people don't react correctly to external inputs, to reality because their minds have been taught not to change. Mine can change. I invested little money here, just to take a shot. But this is not profitable at present.

my numbers talk clearly for me. Maybe , depending on the coin, on electricity costs, on hardware and all that, you can get enough profit to say "it's worth". But for me. It's not worth. Numbers talk. This is not OPINION. This are FACTS for me. This cannot be discussed. I will not use my money to help construct ETH chain if i don't get nice profit. You can do it if you want.
805  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: PCI Riser Power Test, Results, and Recommendations on: March 26, 2018, 08:11:52 AM
i use two risers in two Molex connection per cable. Since Risers can get up to 75W , and a molex cable can give max 150W, you are perfectly fine like this. This is my priority config.

I use one riser in one sata connection per cable. Sata uses like 54W per cable that's why only one riser per Sata cable. It can give you problems, specially if you are running a high power input GPU like RX Vega or 1080ti among others. This is the config when you need to add another card and have no molex to connect it.

If you do your research, you can see that 1060,1070 and all RX 470/480/570/580 and below, if well done (downclock and undervolt), will use less than 150W from the 8 pin connector so, even if your sata cannot provide 75W max for the riser, you should be fine.

if you want to mine Zcash, for example a Sata will give you problems with almost all cards specially those from AMD (since Nvidia cards are more efficient)
806  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is cryptocurrecy a money laundering tool for criminals? on: March 25, 2018, 01:06:20 PM
YES, it's used for criminal activities. That said, so is money.

But goverments cannot control "black" money. It has always existed and it will always will. But, as cryptocurrency is based on anonymity, if you happen to get control of it by regulations and laws, all transactions can be controlled, so more money can be controlled, and more people also.

Moreover, you can tax it as an asset. Destroying crypto is a Win-Win Scenario for banks and governments that's why we have a bear trend that will be very difficult to get rid off, if not impossible.

807  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 2018 seems like a good year for ALTCOIN on: March 25, 2018, 12:00:27 PM
yes, it's a good year.

Cryptomarket has lost 60% of it's capitalization value, most of the coins have lost more than 50% of it's value from January, but it's a good year for crypto

omg, how many bullshit do we have to see about this??? DON'T LIE!!!!!
808  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH TO $ 5000 on: March 25, 2018, 11:20:42 AM
ETH will enter PoS at current mining Rates in just about 3 months from now.

In three months it's possible not to have recovered half of the price lost. I can't believe people talk so many bullshit about this. ETH is almost dead because once Casper is applied, you will not be able to trade the coin, sell it or buy it, and obviously not mine it.

Why? because the coin will form part of the chain. in some weeks Vitalik will announce Casper and ETH will go to the floor. Because the actual price of ETH is just because it can be traded. Once the value is only for technology, WHO THE FUCK is gonna invest on a project that requires people to use smart contracts???

Hope you only lose what you can afford to lose, because you are going to lose money. A big amount. Just wait and see. I will come here to laugh at you when PoS destroys the value of ETH
809  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GPU's are getting cheaper now, but looks like Gamers can't buy all the cards :) on: March 24, 2018, 08:45:22 AM
they run lower fps because of the bios mod, specially if well done in downclocking.

The cards will do the exact same fps as new even if they've been mining for two years. But this does also depend on the "care" you take about them, temps, voltage, etc....

I would buy myself cards any day of the year for gaming.

810  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What temp do you set as your max - RX 570 on: March 23, 2018, 10:43:57 PM
i use 80 to allow gpu to throttle but that hasn't happened to me not even once because i have sapphire's RX 570 nitro+ and the cooler is overdesigned for this card so the max i see even with room at 35ºC is just about 60ºC.
811  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Suggestions for entry GPU? on: March 23, 2018, 10:41:24 PM
depends on the crypto you want to mine.

If you want ETH then chose AMD. Nvidia is good for Zcash

just to compare:

RX 560 can do 16Mh/s. My GTX 1060 6gb (with a low tier hynix mem) is doing 18,5mh/s . Some 1060's will do even 24mh/s if you happen to get a good samsung mem.

RX 580's 8gb will do 32mh/s all the way. That's 1070ti ground on Nvidia side.

1050ti will do just 14mh/s at it's best (depends on silicon lottery though)

entry level? i would go to RX 560 / RX 550 or 1050ti, only considering price.
812  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: how to prepare for summer? on: March 23, 2018, 01:31:48 PM
for the actual profit, it's better to shut them down.
813  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining , still worth it? on: March 23, 2018, 01:07:39 PM
The only thing that matters in mining is the time of selling your coins.. If you mine and keep your coins until ETH goes back to 1000$ you hit the bingo... You should NEVER watch what is the best coin to mine at current prices... (you should only if you are selling coins right away into $) This is the thing most miners are not capable to think about it.. Thats why every 3rd guy is crying about how shitty is to be a miner nowadays Smiley

nice!!! because i also laugh at people that mine shitty coins believing in their project, putting electricity costs on top with no instant profit, while they say: hey!! i'm getting a lot of (shitty) coins . If it goes up i will be rich!!!

Normally, that doesn't occur. Good luck mining alt coins. you´ll need it.
814  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH will enter PoS at current mining rates in 4 months on: March 23, 2018, 12:19:40 PM

Once PoS is applied, you will not be able to trade the coin, nor sell it, nor buy and not mine it.

Someone is spreading the gospel church propaganda. Cry
You got very bad concepts, please do have some research before posting crap.

What will change and not change can be comprehend from here:
https://github.com/ethereum/wiki/wiki/Proof-of-Stake-FAQ

interesting.

Because there it's not said you will be able to sell it. If it is, tell me where or quote it.

It's not said that the coin will be able to be traded. If the coin is attached to the chain, How the hell are you going to trade it??=

It's not said how you can buy a part of the chain (except through a smart contract).

Moreover, it's not said who will be able to enter, and the amount of coins necessary to enter . It's not said the total amount of ETH business in Smart contracts, and who and how owners will be paid for the coins on the chain. It's not said either which % of the income will go to ETH owners or developers.

Also, it's not said which will be the relation between the price in trading market and the price once PoS applied.

Also there it says PoS means decentralization or reduced risk of centralization. but in fact it is centralization, because the chain will be owned by ETH owners, and noone with no coins will be able to enter. Now it's decentralized. With PoS, all will be centralized. The more coins you have, the more centralized on you will be chain.

I can continue crashing your shitty post till the end of heaven, but i think you've had enough for today. Stupid people normally use their brain to not pee in the streets.
815  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GPU mining will die in 2018! on: March 23, 2018, 12:07:38 PM
This year started pretty bad, if there were no asics, trust me profitability and altcoin market would be amazing right now. People would still be earning $4 per card on eth, zec would be around $5 per day. Asics kill any profitability and make any coin more centralized as the day goes.

I agree with you
People have to understand about everything, but they keep posting: GPU will never die, GPU forever...
Without knowing if they start to sell Equihash or Ethash Asics, it's probably the end...

There will be a lot of coins to mine for sure, but the difficulty will be insane for every coin, it's simple

Anyone with half a brain knows that. take siacoin for instance that just had asics released. theres NO one mining with gpus on that coin anymore, why because gpus are no longer profitable on it because of the high hashrate the asics push out

Yes, but people always try to forget this

You can mine BTC with GPUs, but is it profitable?

You gave a good example, for guys who doesn't believe, go mine SIA, it's mineable via GPU and Asic, check your profits  Grin

it's not that people forget it. In fact, it's a fact, that people here don't want you to know the real truth of this cryptoworld. That's why with no evidence, clue, argument or reason to believe in crypto or to consider it will recover, they apply blind faith to all, which is a way of misleading.
816  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is this the end of the ethereum coin? on: March 23, 2018, 11:44:45 AM
No its not. You even know what ethereum is? Ethereum isnt some shitcoin who was created some weeks ago from someone who just want to make fast money. Its a real blockchain plattform with very good devs behind who works really hard on their project. So just because the price dumps a little bit at the moment, you dont have to expect that the coin will die. Ethereum has a to strong base with many project with real use cases. So it cant be ended.

you call "the price dump a little bit" to losing nearly 70% of its value? are you mad?=?
817  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH will enter PoS at current mining rates in 4 months on: March 23, 2018, 11:43:13 AM
thread ignored???

you can close your eyes if you want. The truck will pass over you anyway.
818  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: if you live in the EU, watch your profit. I've already turned off my rigs. on: March 23, 2018, 11:39:23 AM
with 314.7mh/s considering electricity costs (not even counting taxes to be applied in the future) , getting just 150$ dollars profit per month. 121€ in my country Spain (considering current value € --> $)

Let's clarify somethings here.

- No, there isn't a bull run. Don't let people mislead you.
- No, it's not profitable
- No, you will not ROI in years at current prices. Moreover if you bought it in the bubble.
- No, it's not worth the effort and headaches to keep it working
- No, don't believe in blind faith guys. Stick to reality. Watch the news, watch the market, analyse technical data and consider the high risk of mining and crypto in general.
- No, the market is not recovering. And it will not do it.
- No, the market has no good news to recover from the fall. has lost 60% capitalization of the hole cryptomarket and others like ETH has lost nearly 70% of value.
- No, regulations, taxes and the end of the anonymity proposed by many countries will not help either.
- No, your coins, and other users coins are insignificant compared to big whales. They are not in for technology. They don't care about that. They are in for profit , instant profit.

If investors, big ones, would believe in this cryptoworld, why are we not seeing huge amounts of big contracts to use it? Cryptocurrencies and their technical projects have been there for years. Why is it so that NOW, just NOW, we are seeing this? Is it because noone knew about this (which would probe developpers didn't do their job attracting money), or is it because now you can get profit trading Huh

can you tell me a single company that could survive losing 50% of it's value?? do you guys know the meaning of TRUST??? very few people here say they've made profit. Most of them did it in December, but greed was greater than intellectual preparation, and they hold. Now they are in big losses.

BTW, my rigs are staying off. F. Off crypto.

BTW (2) - ETH will enter PoS in just 4 months at current mining rates.

819  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Just RELAX, it will be OK! on: March 23, 2018, 11:08:18 AM
Why are people panic selling right now? Scared of a little regulation? That is bull! G20? All they might do is AML prevention. If you are not laundering money, nothing will happen to you!! And we don't want money launders in our midst anyway! Chillax, it will be OK!

it is just fud. This regulation is exactly what crypto needs and will increase the value of the coins tremendously in following years. I can't wait for that to happen

you have absolutely no clue of what the F .... you are talking about. absolutely no clue.
