2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: How the best ICO is choosen on: July 31, 2018, 07:25:14 AM
For me one project that's very convincing for me right now is menlo.one. I mean, there plan is to clean the ICO marketplace from Scam projects with their guild based ICO review platform which I think what we really needed right now. Plus, I have been seeing their team, or there projects being mentioned on coin conferences around the globe.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Promising ICO Today on: July 31, 2018, 07:18:41 AM
I think there's a lot of promising ICO's lately, some of them do tackle current problems we have right now on the blockchain and our daily lives. Also, I see this trend that most of the ICO's coming out right now are from VR or either from Security industry. Some of the ICO projects I can recommend is OPP, EON, and MENLO ONE.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: avoiding ICO scam and frauds on: June 19, 2018, 03:39:36 AM
Scam is bad and all people want to avoid that scamp attemp in ico or other but its not that easy to make us stay away from fraud.
Easy to say but difficult to do. Scam can not be avoid just by checking the whitepaper since whitepaper and roadmap can be made so easily by expert to cover their scammy project.

I think menlo.one can help you with that. It's a platform that will serve as a review site for any upcoming ICO. The good thing about is that it can't be corrupted unlike the review sites we have right now where an ICO just pays a certain amount of money to get a +5 review.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO is still legit? on: June 19, 2018, 03:27:35 AM
The problem right now is that legit ICO's are outnumbered by fake ones, there are some decent ICO's out there and distinguishing the good from the bad ones is very hard. Anyway, @OP you might want to try looking to www.menlo.one they will act as a review site platform for all upcoming ICO.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]Ⓜ️ MENLO ONE Ⓜ️ COMPETITION & STOX PARTNERSHIP! [ICO] on: June 13, 2018, 10:32:12 PM
An ICO marketplace where you can directly buy and see good reviews on it? Well this seems to be promising, I'll follow this project. It seems a good concept. One thing though, does menlo.one able to accommodate all types of ICO?
7  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Who uses paper wallets on: April 10, 2018, 01:26:13 AM
Ahh, I see. But as you said there's some vulnerabilities (I've done some researching and some users are also experiencing this) with it? I find it less secure and a bit expensive, if I'm to use this than just keeping a paper wallet.

If you only intend to hold and never spend then paper is fine and probably preferable. If you do spend coins relatively often, and especially if you have plenty of alts too, then hardware makes sense.

Most of the vulnerabilities that have been uncovered have been at the extreme end of possibilities and will likely never happen to the average user, but that's only the ones that have been discovered so far.

Thanks for the reply mate.

Well, as for now I'm not planning in using it. What I do is have some wallet for spending purposes and ones for investment, although its a bit complicated and less convenient I find it more secure.

Hello, just wanted to ask few question cause I'm a bit confused, why people are more inclined in using hardware wallet?

I find it hard to think, why we still need a hardware wallet when its easy to make a paper one?

Convenience. The only safe way to spend from a paper wallet is to empty it completely and never return to it. A hardware wallet allows regular access without exposing the private key to the internet.

I have seen a few for free on classified sites in my area and was intrigued by the concept.

What the hell does this mean? People are using paper wallets supplied by other people? That completely destroys the point and they're going to get raped.

The longer I use hardware wallets the less I'm inclined to depend on them. There seem to be an ever increasing number of vulnerabilities and Ledger's superior attitude is getting on my nerves.

I'll probably head back to paper. If you do it right you can sleep soundly.

10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is it a good idea or not? on: April 04, 2018, 04:40:12 AM
I see its a good move. Thinking how low ETH have gone down, you'll get 150% increase compared to BTC with only a 50% increase of the price, assuming the market will be back as it was last December.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Monero one of the popular cryptocurrency ? on: April 04, 2018, 04:32:45 AM
Yeah, Monero is indeed one of the popular coins right now. Besides the fact that its in the top 11 in coinmarketcap, they also have recently made a move against the asic miner of bitmain. Changing its algorithm for the asic's move to make it mine-able with their hardware. LOL
12  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [PAYBEAR] Crypto Payments Service on: March 09, 2018, 07:03:32 AM
I haven't much about Paybear probably because it's still new.  Will see how it goes in a few months or so as I think this new payment company is good for business.

They seem to be quite here on Bitcointalk, I don't know if they have even an Announcement thread or a Sig/bounty campaign. Paybear seems to be promising but I think they lack people's awareness of their product.
13  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Future : Bitcoin Lighting Network on: March 09, 2018, 06:08:11 AM
What I'm saying is that its already being implemented, nodes are running and we'll see more adoptions in the next coming months.
14  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [Paybear] What do you think of this new website? on: March 07, 2018, 06:17:27 AM
Just checked their site and I think (Not sure) it's mainly a payment channel for merchants. I hope that they can expand so that non-merchants can use their low fee service like Paypal and Bitpay.

Paybear is planning to implement a wallet system by the Q2 of 2018 as they are also planning to launch an ICO for their own cryptocurrency.
15  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Future : Bitcoin Lighting Network on: March 07, 2018, 05:56:09 AM
What do you think about this technology ?

Well, it isn't ready yet, so it's quite early to judge. But the idea itself is great.

You're wrong on this, bitcoin's lightning network is already been implemented (although its not fully operational) but lightning network nodes are now running.

Here's a reference.

16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Update on this week's best ICO's on: March 01, 2018, 10:44:39 AM
Hey, what do you think of paybear? They seem to be promising project and have a clean website. Do you think they would be successful on their ICO?
17  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Choosing Between Payment Gateways on: February 26, 2018, 10:02:59 AM
Paybear does seem like a professional site. Their interface looks great to work with as well.

They are indeed relatively new. I have no idea how much you can trust them with at this stage. Haven't seen any negative reviews around though.

Coinpayments and Shapeshift are two of the largest and most trusted payment gateways. Though shapshift doesn't technically allow you to store funds with them, but only serves as a altcoin -> bitcoin converter. Coinpayments has a lot more flexibility and there's a range of things that you can do with them, including storing funds in their wallets. Bitpay on the other hand is more working with fiat type of site.

Up to you, do some research on your own part. But these are the main ones.

Looking for this kind of thread, dont know if paybear have an official post here on BTT.  Anyway, I have been researching about them and I had drawn interest on them because they have been recently retweeted by LTC and partnered with MakerDao.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you rich? Prove it! Poor people please stay away! on: February 23, 2018, 04:31:06 AM
Your just begging for money in a different way by creating this ICO, a shitcoin/ token that has no value at all.. Why don't you say please share your wealth to me, instead of creating an ICO asking rich people to invest and getting useless token in return..

It’s not my creation :d As per rest, it is certainly NO VALUE (valueless), as that is CLEARLY written on the website https://www.bigballstoken.com

So, it’s not SHARING your wealth, it’s giving your wealth that is going to give you no gains! It’s only there to help your EGO and SATISFACTION that you are RICH ENOUGH and of course, it’s about those BIG BALLS TOO!  Grin

Lol this is so stupid. Why would rich people want to publicize that they are rich in the first place?

I guess you live in very different world. A truly rich person is full of EGO and the opportunity of SHOUTING I AM RICH is not MISSED. So, not for ordinary people, but with large BALLS, EGOS and CRAZINESS, it’s ideal place to invest!

Don't know but this sounds like your begging RICH people for their money basing on the bolded words you had said.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you rich? Prove it! Poor people please stay away! on: February 23, 2018, 03:45:05 AM
LOL. I am not rich can I join? I have a few bucks here.   Grin

Seriously dude? I wonder how many ignorant "RICH" people will join your project.  Cheesy Cheesy
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin in 2018 will see the clues on: February 23, 2018, 03:29:44 AM
Can't say much but the way new ICO's are coming out in 2018. Shows a good sign for another cryptoboom. This so-called bubble burst will never happen this year or in the near future. I found many services offering cryptocurrency as payment, online seller adapting crypto bandwagon.

Anyway, guys, I need suggestions on cryptocurrency payment gateways... I’m thinking about going with Paybear. https://www.paybear.io/ Is there anyone who has used their service?
