 SegWit2X Adopts the Hybrid Consensus POW & POSThere are two main mechanisms providing the consensus helping to confirm new blocks on a distributed ledger called a Blockchain. These are POW (Proof-of-Work) and POS (Proof-of-Stake). POW mining makes use of high powered computer hardware to deduce a desired sequence of numbers to create consensuses. The more efficient the mining machine is, the higher is the profit in terms of cryptocurrency rewards. When during the mining, POW only is used then the whole system is vulnerable to ‘51% Attack’. It means that whoever holds 51% of the network’s mining power could manipulate the Blockchain (cease new transaction confirmation and be able to double-spend coins). POS mining mechanism allows miners receive rewards using very minimal resources in terms of hardware and software. The new block creator is chosen in a deterministic way and the miners with larger amounts and holding tokens longer than other fellows are more likely to receive rewards. The SegWit2X team decided to adopt the Hybrid POW+POS consensus mechanism. It will maximize user engagement and is beneficial for both parties. How does the Hybrid B2X mining work? 9 out of 10 blocks are mined with the help of POW mechanism and the last one, the 10th is mined using POS. The user's stack starts participating in mining if there is no activity on the wallet address as well as "maturation", which takes place after 8 hours and 100 blocks. Having B2X coins on the wallet users are able to mine the 10th block. The updated B2X official wallets are already available to download but it’s important to backup wallet.dat before the installation of new wallets without fail. A user connects to the network, waits 8 hours and another 100 blocks, and then participates in the mining process. After receiving the award, the funds get frozen for 100 blocks. The profitability of the Hybrid POW+POS censuses mechanism is static and equal to standard POW mining from every blocks.The most significant benefit of the hybrid consensus is that it eliminates the ‘51% Attack’ threat or at least makes it super complicated to activate. |

The newest updates have turned the B2X into a really revolutionary and unique coin. As the result of the softfork, the hybrid mining POW & POS protocols are introduced. Can someone explain to me how this is a scam? I see a working network and crypto. Where does the scam part come in? Did they steal private keys or something? Even if they premined 90% of the coins how is that scamming you? I thought in a scam there was a victim who loses money TO the scammer. Some of you idiots have just lost money to the free market and have no sense of responsibility for your own dumbass actions! “But I trusted the team”...You don’t know them at all so stop trusting in these coins ffs and then crying when it doesn’t hit the moon. It’s been less than 2 months for crying out loud!
I've put a fair amount of thought into this project (and some mining power) and I agree, I don't think we can call it a scam as such, but we can call it a "sham". Why? Because this team has hijacked the SegWit2X name and attempted to profit from it. This is why HitBTC is trading different to Exrate prices, because HitBTC have been trading futures on the SegWit2X team involved in the New York conference. This SegWit2X team has literally NOTHING to do with the other SegWit2X team, hence a large amount of suspicion, confusion, different prices etc etc. If only they'd called it another name, hey why not call it B4X?? why not Mickey-Mouse coin? why not Take-Me-To-The-Moon coin, who cares?? Call it anything, but don't associate with the SegWit2X name. Seriously, don't hijack another team's name and not expect to be doubted as to your credentials. Calling it SegWit2X was a grave error, and expecting the wider crypto community to get on board with it is..optimistic at best, however you spin it. No it´s a Scam! 1. They use this Name for some reason, to let the people think the SegWit2X is back. 2. and this is the part where it´s a scam! They post on the Website a few exchanges that accept B2X, only on HitBTC was a coin with the Name B2X, but it´s not this coin.
