861  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Are Your Coins Safe on: February 03, 2019, 05:42:11 PM
It's easy to see, NO ONE read the article. In the event of a certain type of 51% attack, the attacker could rewrite the blockchain any way they wish. Even paper wallets and hardware wallets can't keep your coins safe then. Thankfully, such an attack would be incredibly difficult to carry out.

I read the article and I am very surprised 2 page of replies and almost everybody is on 2fa or hardware wallet where OP is all about blockchain attack. OP also never come back in this thread to clear the things here.
Anyway I have no investment in these coin so I am not worried but I will keep this in my mind.
862  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Being a good trader must be able to maintain emotions on: February 03, 2019, 05:34:40 PM
Not only trading, you need to control emotions on every job to be successful. You cannot be surgeon and emotional during operation. Even emotion need to be controlled in bringing up the child.
Most of the people jump in trading without any research or study that's why they are fooled by emotions.
863  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Hodl or Not on: February 03, 2019, 11:06:58 AM

When I saw the OP site , I actually thought that OP either copied from them or inspired from them. I remember few months back it do not have blog structure, chart s that we are seeing today.
@OP, do not be demotivated by the criticism, actually something better already exists before you. You just need to check if your ideas are already implemented.

Anyways, I will not ask your logic, how you decide hodl or nobodl, because I am fixed with my preferences.
864  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are we not abusing decentralization? on: February 03, 2019, 10:20:54 AM
Satoshi made decentralization so that you do not need to take permission from the third party for your own money. Trustless  system meant you can send your money without  trusting anybody but it does not mean that you should send money to someone that you don't know and have no idea ( like  ICO).  If you not serious about your security/ or not using your security , you will be scammed anyways.
865  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin changed the men but not the women on: February 03, 2019, 09:37:23 AM
I got an idea that I should spend Bitcoin on stripper so that she can spend back on me .
I guess nothing can be easily spent then the cash in pocket. If you have some spare cash in wallet you tend to spent it on things that are not needed but "good to have" only.
866  Other / Meta / Re: Can we get a guidelines sticky on beginners and help? on: February 03, 2019, 09:20:00 AM
Who would be making these guidelines in absence of active mod there? Again mprep or any other global mod.

I feel/read that Theymos believe less in writing rules but more in the discretion of the moderators handling that section.
867  Other / Meta / Re: [SHOCK] [166 in 1] MULTI ACCOUNTS! All bounty managers are required to read! on: February 03, 2019, 08:36:09 AM
if this is even real then it's probably a whole  spam group and not just a single person.

I am not able to find the pharmacist's post in which the picture of the office of the  bounty hunter is shared. They have their own website too.
They are doing full time bounty hunting in their life, nothing else.
868  Other / Meta / Re: [New] LoyceV's Trust list viewer (updated weekly) on: February 03, 2019, 08:01:52 AM

I noticed that post too.  Obviously a suckpuppet of one of the butthurt boys.  I was starting to worry that I was being neglected by them, but I see some of them are taking H8bussesNbicycles' advice.

No need to worry about them. I just think if any one of them used their energy constructively instead of throwing stones here and there, they might got the chance.
They remind me of spambies bounty hunter that used to create post "Why I did not received any merit"
869  Other / Meta / Re: Suggestion: length limitation to trust ratings on: February 03, 2019, 07:47:41 AM
OK, new limits:
 - You can't give more than 5 ratings to a single user.
 - Your total sent ratings is limited to three times your activity, but at least 1.
 - The comment length is limited to 600 characters, but each newline counts as 120 characters.

Can "Edit" option also given in trust feedback. Currently it is only "Delete".  If something got missed then no need to delete and rewrite again, just edit it.
870  Other / Meta / Re: Appeal for ban account on: February 02, 2019, 09:46:36 PM
The second account (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1910995) was ban due to plagiarism when replying to a thread which l agree because l copy a quote and paste as a reply in other to provide a solution to a thread that was raise .
1. Broke the rule.

I did not get any reply which lead me to create another account, after a while raise a topic on the economic board about candlestick analysis (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5103723.msg49484046#msg49484046) which l move to the altcoin section for much people to benefit from the topic, the next day I got ban evasion.

Again broke it.

I make a research more on the forum rules, l found out l have broken the rules.
Research need to be done at the time of joining the forum.

l have read all rules and whole heartedly promise to comply with them.
You are late now.

There is no plagiarism on my account as a reason for banning the account this was due to ban evasion.
Ban extends to person,it is not limited to account only.

871  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Misuse of the quote button on: February 02, 2019, 09:27:30 PM
I think forum should ban Multi quotes or pyramid quotes. They are just increasing the length of post without any value addition.
For long quotes, quoting can be limited to say 100 words.
Ban, it is unrealistic suggestion.
However, another punishment, like red tags might be good.
Jet Cash proposed about it in another topic.
By now, I known that the forum has only report for spamming posts, repeatedly posts with same contents around.
I wish that in the future, theymos will expand reports on pyramid quotes.

I am not saying ban the user, I was saying ban the multi quotes/pyramid quotes. In other words remove/disable this existing functionality of pyramid quoting. No need by theymos to start another report.
Due to forum pyramid quoting option, I need to manually delete the earlier quotes.(but I will leave them today.)
872  Other / Meta / Re: The clubroom - another radical idea from Jet Cash on: February 02, 2019, 07:27:35 PM
There seems to be a whole hotch potch of problems at the moment.

Not new,it supposed to increase

We have over moderation coupled with under moderation.
Time to shuffle these moderators.

spamming together with a lack of posting. There are also a load of boring personal attacks and whingeing threads. I'd like to see a nice clean general discussion board that is open to everybody from newbie to Legendary , and that is kept clean, courteous, and informative. So how can this be created and maintained?
a) So, you are trying to find an equilibrium here
1.spamming together with a lack of posting.
2. I'd like to see a nice clean general discussion board that is open to everybody

b) Looking for a Ideal Forum
1. A nice clean general discussion board that is open to everybody from newbie to Legendary , and that is kept clean, courteous, and informative.

I suggest a club room that is moderated by 12 legendaries who aren't going to bitch and fight with each other. They can have total control over posting and threads on that board, and they can decide on the topics, subject to certain guidelines set up when the room is implemented.

I think, too many cooks to spoil the broth.

875  Economy / Services / Re: Stake.com Signature Campaign - Up to 0.035 BTC a week on: February 02, 2019, 05:41:24 PM

I think there is one extra zero in rates. I guess it should be .001.

877  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Indian Government Invites Law Firm to Present Suggestions for Crypto Regulation on: February 02, 2019, 05:25:06 PM
Can anybody give this news sources from mainstream media house or from the government of India website.
I doubt the validity of news that "Indian government invited  xxx lawyers" because
1. No mainstream news article.
2. Government create their own committees with the expert on legal system (like retired judges) andey do not appoint private practitioners for  recommendations.
This might interest you - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5096389.0.

Thanks for sharing that document, but officially government is not saying anything about  "Nishith Desai Associates " appointment. If you read the reply it clearly says it will have representative from RBI,SEBI , CBDT and so on to discuss/develop the crypto currencies framework.
