81  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: SCAM: Bitcoin SV (BSV) - fake team member and plagiarized white paper on: October 25, 2019, 07:48:13 PM
BSV Team - Are community of honesty peoples, supporters, volunteers, coders etc.

BSV is not only CSW & Ayre.

Don't touch BSV, trolls. Send all your claims to CSW

Theymos, sorry please if something offended you

BSV Team
Claiming that a fork (of a fork) of Bitcoin is 'BitCoin' is dishonest and fraudulous. Anyone actively supporting BSV is as dishonest as Faketoshi himself.

Come on, stop it, they are not dishonest! They are simply delusional.
Don't harsh people with mental illness man! Lips sealed

I really feel sorry for all the people who are just starting and trying to understand crypto though... so much shit and misinformation. Undecided

83  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ARK - DPoS with Dynamic Fees 🔹 New CORE v2🔹 ARK Deployer 🔹 on: October 25, 2019, 07:28:17 PM
Following closely with our last ARK Core Series, it's time to go over the Multisig Server, a hub to verify & collect multisig signatures. Want to know more about it, how it works and how you can use it? Check out this post.

Read more at https://blog.ark.io/ark-core-series-multisignature-server-9557f5a9e711

Multisignature Server repository available at https://github.com/arkecosystem/multisig-server

If all the exchanges had this multi-signature function, we'd have no hacks!
Then again, some of these hacks (I'll dare guess that "most of them") are done by the companies themselves... actually they are not hacks!

But a necessity for this system to work in big companies and exchanges is a workaround in case that one of the multi-signature accounts is for whatever reason unable to sign... maybe some lost their key, or they died, or they got hacked and locked out.
Would it be possible to have a multi-signature system where for example 3 out of 5 signatures are required?
84  Economy / Gambling / Re: MintDice – Bitcoin Casino With Online Slots, Bitcoin Crash & Bitcoin Investment on: October 25, 2019, 07:21:27 PM
Update, the withdrawal went though and has now been sent to pending.
I did a 500x hit on the slots.
What a great experience you had. The most multiplier on the slots that I experienced is around x10 IIRC. I would want to have that x500 for my bets lol. I don’t know if I would ever be lucky enough. I haven’’t experienced a lucky break since a long time.

Let us know if you had a hard time with the withdrawal but I doubt it wouldn’t follow through unless you have done something bad with that.

Nah, MintDice have been fair so far, I doubt they'd create any difficulties with their customers' withdrawals.
I'm sure they'll keep rising in popularity thanks to their clean and fast UI and straightforward services.
85  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] We Built The Platform First, Then Blockchain [POW/POS/MN] DIY Tube Coin on: October 25, 2019, 07:16:29 PM
I was looking for a specific video in one of my YouTube playlists today... 1/4th of the videos I have bookmarked are removed or their accounts have been removed!
The older a video is, the more likely it is to not find the video anymore.
This is just ridiculous!

I don't know if DIY Tube can succeed, it looks like it's more focused on the coin and blockchain part than the quality of the service (ironically, the opposite of what the thread title states); but we really need an alternative to YouTube's monopoly.

I remember you used to direct my hashpower in dead shitcoins which would not be sold for long time, some of them for a whole day or more.
You were estimating a certain profit in a certain algorithm because a shitcoin with no volume happened to get a momentarily spike, and then direct people's hash to this coin which would eventually be sold for half the estimated price.

I put those coins in my ignore list using my miner but it seems this choice is not supported by your pool, so I left your pool.

I'd be glad to hear this is fixed.
87  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XRP] Ripple Speculation on: October 24, 2019, 01:37:14 PM
Have you noticed how quick the articles publishers are in writing about bad days in crypto, while they keep a low tone on the good days?

Like...
"huge loses today..."
and
"Bitcoin rised unexpectedly today, but will this last?"
88  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Money is Dirty Money on: October 23, 2019, 06:59:38 PM
A question to ask is "Why would some people call it dirty money?"
I believe a reason (which by the way I personally also support) is that the money someone wins in gambling are someone else's money, possibly money they could not afford to lose but their addiction drove them to lose them anyway and now you hold them.

This is why I don't gamble.
There's a fine line though between gambling and investing, so think this through yourselves.
89  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Often Do you Bet on Politics? on: October 23, 2019, 06:54:18 PM
I gave up on US stocks since Trump went nuts in a trade war with the Chinese because one Tweet from him can devastate the markets in a few minutes... let alone gambling around politics!
That's a no-no! Too unpredictable.
90  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Worst Day of My LIFE - Dice on: October 23, 2019, 06:13:01 PM
I don't get why people are chasing after gambling so much... it's like being told by a stranger "Give me your money and I'll most likely keep them, but you have a slight chance to double them".

Even if you give your money to an algorithm and not a stranger, I wouldn't gamble even with my spare income, let alone with money I don't have.

Thanks for sharing your story though, hopefully it'll help someone realize the dangers.
91  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀 Which poker hand is stronger? on: October 23, 2019, 06:05:32 PM
I've seen the movie and I remember Bond makes a Flush Royale and wins.
Then the bad guy gets mad, takes him in the basement and brakes his @@.... Something like that!
92  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are your most common superstitions? on: October 23, 2019, 06:02:58 PM
I just believe the superstitions are not real because they make no sense.
Nor is there anything like bad/good luck and karma. There are only mathematics... if the algorithm is created in such a way to make you lose 55% of the time, then you have  55% chances to lose. That's all there's to it!
93  Economy / Gambling / Re: MintDice – Bitcoin Casino With Online Slots, Bitcoin Crash & Bitcoin Investment on: October 23, 2019, 05:59:13 PM
Here's the thing. There are two types of gamblers, gamblers who play incessantly in hope of making a quick profit, though as it happens 99.99% of these are losses, and there are the gamblers who actually get 'pumped' up by the exhilarating gambling experience.  As such, most of the gambling sites would want to cater for both types of gamblers through its various features.

There's no point in faulting one site for trying to reach to the wider audience, yes, while, it may not be ideal for the 'true blood' gamblers its a strategy the industry adopts.

I don't understand what you mean by "pump" regarding the experienced gamblers. I don't think that the experienced ones are more likely to make a profit than they are to lose.
They just stand better chances in comparison to the inexperienced poor souls who keep gambling until they lose everything!
94  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you know if a gambling site is scam or not? on: October 23, 2019, 05:55:17 PM
Honestly, I've never found or played on a scam gambling site. I always play on gambling sites that do not have a problem even I don't only play one site, but very much. So I can't say how gambling sites are scams.
How do you know that you picked the legit site if you never played on it?

We have to research and enter into the right site due to clone and scam sites.

If you want to know how much scam sites then visit scam accusation section.

The scam accusation section is indeed the best to learn if a site is acting in unethical ways, but if you want to risk and try a new site which has no feedback yet, then check their FAQ, try some small deposits and withdraws to see if they act according to what's written in their FAQ, and also send them an email if you have even a minor issue to see how fast and accurately they respond.
They're only speaking Chinese or Russian? That's a warning flag.

Erm ...

"Satoshi Nakamoto"

"Born 5 April 1975 (claimed)"

Cheesy

For all fairness, this date of birth for Satoshi could be fake, even if provided by the real Satoshi.
Since "Satoshi Nakamoto" is most likely more than one person, this date could have a hidden meaning and not be the real birth day of someone.

Still, I'm amazed Craig didn't forge his own birth date and ID to match Satoshi's date! Cheesy
96  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ARK - DPoS with Dynamic Fees 🔹 New CORE v2🔹 ARK Deployer 🔹 on: October 23, 2019, 02:35:39 PM
May we know what is the remaining task to be completed from the previous quarter?

This platform is really moving forward. And they are actually holding activities for developers as well as users to keep us updated.

You just click on it and you'll see an analysis of all the tasks.

To answer your question, the remaining (ongoing?) task is "Testing of ARK Core v2.6 on Devnet prior to moving it to Mainnet".

So that means they have it ready and if no issue occur while testing, it should go live on mainnet soon.

Why are people crying about manipulation?
It's not manipulation, it's simply bad management.
If the project is supposed to give value to content creators, then it shouldn't have PoW and Masternodes.

Just mint coins through unique views and be harsh on those who use bots to increase their views.
98  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XRP] Ripple Speculation on: October 22, 2019, 08:54:57 PM
You made my point for me, do you really think trillions are going to flow through a centralized shitcoin? , making the ripple hierarchy extremely rich. Your dreams of adoption focus on the entire wealth of the world flowing through xrp which is beyond deluded. Banks trust swift for a reason. Swift have been adapting if u didnt notice, several cryptos are going to improve their throughput.

To be honest, banks tend to build their own stuff instead of using 3rd party solutions. I'm thankful they at least use Microsoft Office in their computers!

For example SWIFT was developed by banks for the banks.
For this reason, I don't expect a crazy XRP adoption by banks, at most I'm expecting some trial usage and if they like it, they'll create their own, centrilized blockchain instead of using a decentralized one like XRP.

Personally I'm seeing value in FinTech companies which seems to be choosing XRP so far. More and more collaborations are being announced and that's great!

This Trivia Night announcement looked more like we're going to VEGAS BABY! xD
And it seems like the teams were mostly made of people who don't know much about crypto... that was good to get them interested then!

Thanks for sharing! I didn't even know Samsung had something called "Samsung Blockchain", what is it? Is it something like Trust wallet's integrated web browser which supports dapps?
This is fine to have, but the mobile app will be best!
