Hi, you mentioned that use 12 GPUs setup in rings.  What OS do you use linux(hive/rave/other) or win?  is it stable? what AMD drivers vers? what motherboard? what rizers (molex/6pin)? what power supply?
ps. i have 12 x 5700xt gpus rig but cannot get stable work.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: PhoenixMiner 5.0e: fastest Ethereum/Ethash miner with lowest devfee (Win/Linux) on: June 21, 2020, 01:17:55 AM
Hi, i see that the miner in the console shows each GPU power usage,  how may i get this data using phoenixminer API?
4  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum is extremely slow with 200 addresses on: June 07, 2020, 01:21:04 PM
I do use password for electrum.
Password and passphrase are different things.

ok, in this case i do use both.

as i understand bitcoin wallets are not optimized if you frequently use the same address(es). And as i suspect the same issue affects bitcoin core wallet as well.
That can't be the issue, the issue is your number of UTXOs which is over 1000 and Electrum will have to fetch the necessary data
of all those unspent transactions outputs from the Server/Node that you're connected with.
Internet connection speed can slow/speed this process.

For Bitcoin core, it will only perform slow in the initial scan; after that, it should be smooth sailing since the blockchain and its index are stored locally.

hm indeed,  but bitcoin core is too difficult to maintain.

Most people don't use passphrases at all (I think OP one of them). And if a user used passphrase for example "456rty789uio", he can use "456rty789uio2020" instead.
BTW, I don't agree that everyone should use a passphrase. Yes, it improves security and plausible deniability, but 12 words provide the necessary level of security, so that passphrase is optional.

I do use password for electrum.

well thanks to all for sorting this out.

ps. i consolidated all coins to new wallet  and new address. hope it will be good for the next 12 months.

I would like to save 2 addresses from the wallet, it is bound to many pools.  May i recreate new wallet with 2 addresses from old wallet?
Actually i know that electrum has import private key option, but i didnt try that, is that an option?

Why not export the 2 private keys from the addresses that is bound on many pools? You can able to export them and make a new wallet then import the 2 private keys as a new wallet.

Make sure you have seed backup as the above said and don't forget to make a backup copy of the wallet file of your old wallet. You can use it in the future if the old wallet is removed from your Electrum wallet.

What if those 2 addresses have 1000+ transactions in history, would it be affecting the loading again on new wallet?
8  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum is extremely slow with 200 addresses on: June 02, 2020, 11:12:32 PM
Can you not make a new wallet?

You can keep more than once wallet with electrum and a new one will greatly speed up your access to some funds if not all for when you want to sign or load up the wallet.

I'm guessing the slowness is because your wallet is encrypted and the node will slow you don't because of the time it'll take to confirm your request there and I wouldn't suggest not keeping an encrypted file so a new wallet is probabky the best way to go...

Hi all,

I have the wallet that have ~200 addresses(20 receiving and 180 change) and ~1000 transactions, wallet.dat file size ~7Mb.
when i open the wallet it takes ~10 minutes. and very slow when i sending btc.

What can i do?  is it possible to clean change addresses and transactions?

Electrum version: 3.3.8 (linux)
10  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: I need help testing my new BTC miningpool on: May 25, 2020, 01:31:34 PM
i would suggest pool testing on smaller coins where difficulty is not so much, for example: DGB or LCC with just 300M diff.

well, nice job, but why do you use windows based application? since bot should run 24x7, it's much cheaper to run on some cloud-based LAMP VM for $4 as php application.

15  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: connect to miners over outside network ... on: December 02, 2019, 12:27:04 PM
Hi anybody.
I have a small farm in somewhere far from my home. and want to monitor them and also connect to miners if I need and restart or re-config them as I need from my home over internet.
What is your idea about this situation. And also is anybody now bout the ports numbers that miners work with them?
some of my miners are for ebit and antminer company.
Thanks so much

if your router support vpn client - then setup VPN connection to your router and manage your devices from Home.

if your router doesn support VPN, then buy raspberry Pi and install on your farm in the same network where your asics. Then install and configure openvpn on raspberry Pi and use it for accessing your devices from home.
16  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: SSH Unlock Tool For Antminer S17 and T17 on: November 29, 2019, 01:23:29 PM
If you are running an S9, S9i, S9j, S9k, S9se with May 2019 firmware or older. You can remove signature check using this file: https://asic.to//files/Firmware/S9/signature.zip and unlock ssh.

mine has fw from July 2019, where to get May'19 fw?
17  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: SSH Unlock Tool For Antminer S17 and T17 on: November 26, 2019, 11:26:20 AM
is it applicable to S9K?
18  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Braiins OS: open-source mining firmware [S9, T1]. New release includes AsicBoost on: November 13, 2019, 11:47:46 AM
I have 100+ S9 miners from different batches starting from 2016 and ending with 2019 s9j/s9k models.  So i can compare them. by the way, BOS still not showing chip temp on some S9 models from 2016/2017 batches.

Bitmain FW has temp cut value close to 110C, why BOS set 95C is not clear for me, my miners work for years in summer over 100C without issues.

At the end, bitmain fw stops mining process when you hit 110C, but BOS just restarts miner when you are close to 95C = which leads to infinite miner restarts - which kills hashboards also. So this is real problem which should be addressed.
19  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Antminer S9 Volt Rocket Ship firmware mod! ~ALL S9 MODELS INCLUDING S9i S9j~ on: November 08, 2019, 11:59:43 AM
freq per each chip would require a massive overhaul of the bitmain code. Not that I am aware of. I know there is one that floats around with a dev fee that supposedly is per chip but it's actually per board and it's all just a fake ui stating it is changing chips individually. Pretty sure you cant per chip anyways.

so, then do you know how fw with devfee that has individual chip freq tuning works? is that developed completely from scratch or based on bitmain bmminer code?
20  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Braiins OS: open-source mining firmware [S9, T1]. New release includes AsicBoost on: November 08, 2019, 11:54:04 AM
I'm using brains OS for about an year, want to say thank you to developers. it is pretty stable OS.

the issues that should be addressed ASAP:

1. temp cut on 95C - it is not good, as under high overclock it is ok to run 95-100C, so this should be tunable from GUI:  "fan-dangerous-temp":"100"
default should be: 100C

2. the same as above but for "no-sensor-scan":true - should be a checkbox in GUI

3. in case some hashboard failed the order of OC settings are shifted, Example:

if i set:

board#0 = 750 freq 8.8V
board#1 = 700 freq 9.0V
board#2 = 725 freq 8.9V

if board#1 - failed then board#2 will get "700 freq 9.0V" settings from board#1 - this is incorrect and brings problems on healthy boards. please fix this asap.
