1  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Max. temperature on KNC Jupiter on: March 10, 2014, 06:10:09 PM
try and keep it under 80c

put in a cooler room,
if you are overclocking lower the frequency,
more fans

If did some checking and 2 modules are fine and 2 modules are constantly around 70 - 80 degrees. Room is not the point, as the other Jupiter is in normal temperature level. No overclocking.
2  Bitcoin / Mining support / Max. temperature on KNC Jupiter on: March 10, 2014, 04:18:11 PM
Hey folks,

does anyone know what is the max or should be the max temperature of one asic modul inside a knc jupiter ? One of mine (firmware 1.00) is currently running at 83 degrees celcius and that seems pretty much to me. Fan is working fine.

Any suggestions ? Thx !

After entering my email and hiting send simply nothing happens...
i changed my password a few hours ago. You have to go to your email and follow the link to change it.

I donīt get an email. The payout emails are received...

Logging in counts as an action like posting, so it triggers it.

Ahhhh well...are you sure that this is a good idea ?

I can understand the posts per seconds limit, but including the login doesnīt seem so usefull (keeping in mind that the sessions length can be selected).

Hey folks,

everytime I log in to the forum and want to reply to a topic I get the error: "The last posting from your IP was less than 360 seconds ago. Please try again later. " After waiting 360 seconds it works.

But my IP didnīt post something in the last 360 seconds.

Any help for me ? Thx !

7  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Somebody mining with solar panels or wind turbines? on: August 21, 2013, 02:43:08 PM
Like the electricity price in Spain is abusive ($ 0,25 Kw/h)

...

Well if you already call that abusive...in Germany itīs around 0,36 $ (differs a bit as the market is big and the overall household income is higher but anyway).

You may check this out for your solar needs: http://www.suninvention.com/

They offer "plug-in" solar modules, which can be attached to your normal house / flat electricy (be sure that an electrician does it). Everytime the sound shines, solar energy is produced and reduces your costs (theoretically your power meter will turn backwards if you have many modules and lots of sun).

I think itīs a cheaper alternative then a fixed installation and itīs much cheaper.

...

but i hope you know that cpu mining brings you nothing... its only wasting energy no profit you will gain

best regards joe

I heard rumors about that  Wink. No just kidding, I know...

looks like i was in a few seconds late:

If it is just for a test.
GUIMiner is probably the quickest and easiest that lets you select your pool.
Bitminter is even easier and java based, but is in fact a bitminer pool product so it connects to that pool.

IF your miners do not see your CPU you may need to install the opencl sdk that supports your processor.  How old or new of a PC is it and what processor is it?

GUIMINER works great.

Thanks a lot !!!  Smiley
9  Other / Beginners & Help / CPU Mining on Windows with cgminer 2.11.4 on: August 21, 2013, 01:39:49 PM
Hello guys,

for testing purposes I want to mine with my CPU only using cgminer on a pool (stratum protocol) with a Windows Machine. As I read, the newer versions donīt support CPU mining anymore and the last one that did should be 2.11.4.

So I downloaded 2.11.4 from http://ck.kolivas.org/apps/cgminer/ but what ever cmd line I try, it always says "no devices detected".

Can somebody help me please ?

Or maybe somebody knows a working cpu miner for Windows that supports stratum.

Thanks a lot !
