1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can BNB beat Ethereum? on: June 04, 2019, 10:30:26 PM
As far as I know, BNB is an ERC20 token based on the Ethereum blockchain, so BinanceCoin is highly unlikely to beat ETH. Ethereum is a platform for hundreds of different tokens and many people use this ecosystem every day.

A few months ago, BNB developers launched Binance DEX but in my opinion this decentralized exchange still does not look attractive to large investors. Some teams are now running their IEOs on the Binance and other crypto-currency exchanges so undoubtedly this is an advantage for the BNB price. Frankly, I do not believe that the BNB capitalization will surpass the ETH capitalization.
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China refuses mining? on: April 28, 2019, 10:39:43 PM
It seems to me that China will in no way give up mining. Since they stood at the origins of cryptocurrency and it all essentially began with. I do not think that they will give up their own money.
It says that they planning to end it on 2021 so I believe by now they are already planning and preparing for something better to replace what they have right now in mining. They’re probably planning for a more advance devices in replacement to what they are using right now.
Maybe, it seems that they still hyping this issue and with what the statement above you, there's possibilities that they will not give it up since they are beneficiaries of this industry, China knows how things works and how they can take the advantages among nations who also wanted to play from this industry.
China won't be letting this to happen cause they know already that there is a huge money in here. There previous statement regarding banning crypto have ended already and they are now with crypto again.
Yes,  they could benefit a lots and everyone who are in crypto does. And so there is no reason why they'll keep banning crypto at all.
I think the Chinese government can really ban Bitcoin mining. In September 2017 they already threatened miners by blocking network connections on their border firewall. Therefore, I assume that this government will strengthen the pressure on the crypto-currency industry in the future.

The volume of the mining hardware sales is really huge (more than 2 billion dollars) so the Chinese government probably wants this market to stop growing. As an option, such a way they try to force Chinese miners to sell their hardware to other miners living in foreign countries.

In any case, in April 2020 the Bitcoin mining reward will be halved so miners will not be able to earn a lot of BTC coins.
3  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Binance going to delisted BitcoinSV on: April 17, 2019, 11:02:25 AM
I was surprised when Bitcoin SV dropped 20% two days ago. This dump shows the importance of listing on large crypto-currency exchanges such as Binance.

This must be one of the main reasons why binance is going to delist it, this is one of their check list to delist a certain coin in their platform.

*Evidence of unethical / fraudulent conduct

This was due to Craig's non stop attack on twitter to those who are saying he is not satoshi nakamoto. It is also hilarious how he made legal actions to some individuals claiming he is not satoshi.
Yes, Binance periodically conducts reviews checking compliance with the requirements of the listed coins. I think they might also consider the following two factors:
Quote
* Responsiveness to our periodic due diligence requests
* Level of public communication

I'm sure Craig is not Satoshi. His public behavior in social networks is inappropriate, IMO.

5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency is too complicated on: March 15, 2019, 03:24:18 AM
Since all crypto-currency transactions must be signed and broadcast to the network in order to be included in a blockchain block, sending payments via BTC or ETH may be more complicated for new users. Alternatively, these new crypto-currency holders can initially use a "light" wallet with a friendly web interface instead of a "cold" wallet based on the core application with the blockchain downloaded. Of course, the "cold" wallet is more safe and secure than a "light" wallet which is often backed by some services. I personally store my coins and tokens in "cold" wallets so that no one steals my funds.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: i lost my private key of my etherdelta account on: February 28, 2019, 02:26:46 AM
can you help me, how to open my account?
I often trade my ERC20 tokens on Etherdelta but I never enter the private key for my Ethereum address because I do not trust their website which can be hacked. I always use the Metamask plugin installed in my web browser.

Some naive customers enter their private keys on the Etherdelta site, so the administrators of this decentralized crypto-currency exchange may be collecting these keys. Thus, theoretically, you can try to ask your private key from them, but I am pretty sure they will reject your request because Etherdelta has a good reputation.
7  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Gaining quick profits or keep holding? on: February 21, 2019, 02:15:39 PM
I think you should set profit and loss targets. It will help you solve this worry. This is the situation of unprecedented trading speculators.
You need to set it up and place the order exactly what you set out. Not more and not less.
In the field of investment, you need discipline and persistence, if you can't practice to have it, you will easily fail.

I would tried the following strategy: if 15 min time frame is of positive trend for 7-9 candles then I open Buy position and set TP at 100 pips (or 100 USD) and then close a position.

then I make the same thing but with 2x volume.
Your trading strategy is interesting but in my opinion, your tactics can lead to losses if you do not read the news and monitor the current situation on the entire crypto-exchange market.

I do not like to hold coins without solid reasons so I personally prefer to quickly make profits. I just try to hear rumors and buy a promising crypto-currency. Then I wait for the growth of its price, for example, by 10-15%. I often place the trailing orders to gain a maximal profit.

I believe that it is necessary to know how will the coin you bought will be improved by its team in the future.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Decentralized Exchanges on: February 07, 2019, 01:04:49 AM
I am impressed with your useful thread, OP. Good work.

5. Presence of Actual Volume: Unlike most centralized exchanges where bots are used, there are no bots on decentralized exchanges. This invariably means that you will know the actual volume being traded.
Not always. On decentralized exchanges some traders occasionally sell crypto-currencies to themselves in order to show fake price transactions to other people or due to personal reasons.

4. Low liquidity: Due to lack of awareness, some decentralized exchanges experience low liquidity, but we are gradually tending towards that time, where liquidity will not be a problem.
Yes, this is a big disadvantage of DEXes. Perhaps it is possible to securely aggregate all the liquidity of such exchanges into one large pool but in this case a customer must have a deposit on each of these decentralized exchanges.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bakkt is a new hope? on: January 17, 2019, 04:09:15 AM
They have prolonged the launch one more time till the second quarter of this year. But yes, I believe that the Bakkt launch will push the industry and will provide a lot of new investors that are not familiar with crypto industry at the moment.

I guess that the Bakkt developers will postpone the launch of Bitcoin futures until the summer 2019. Their decision mainly depends on the situation in the global crypto-exchange market. I'm glad to hear that they focused on Bitcoin as a highly-liquid commodity recognized by CFTC.

In any case, the company will release their product someday. I believe and hope that this new trading asset will become a strong driver for growing Bitcoin.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why is ethereum on the rise?? on: January 04, 2019, 07:28:22 PM
Yes. It can happen if there will be a lot of people hodling the coin. A lot of people already see it coming as Ethereum is one of the most popular altcoin. Maybe it can go back to its #2 spot before the of the month. I was glad that I purchase some Ethereum when its below $100 USD. Take advantage of those weak hands so you can play around with the price.
you are really lucky to buy Ethereum lower than $ 100. if I were you, i would sell my coins when the Ethereum will be close to 200 dollars. I am sure that after such growth we will return to low prices again. maybe lower

I really like to see how Ethereum rises in the crypto-exchange markets. Of course, the upcoming hard fork called Constantinople affects the ETH price so Ethereum is growing from $80 to $150. I do not think that the price will fall again to $80 in the near future because according to the road map, the developers want to introduce very useful improvements to the Ethereum blockchain and its consensus.

I'm wondering why some services have temporarily stopped withdrawing Ethereum coins from accounts of the customers. They are probably worried about the safety of ETH coins.
11  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Will the bull run return this December? on: December 21, 2018, 12:21:32 AM
This week alone, price of Bitcoin climbed from $3,125 USD to $4,100 USD, thats around 32% profit if you bought at $3,125 USD. However, the price of Bitcoin slowed a little and stay at $4,050 USD.is the bull going to run this month? I'm Ok if it won't as long as the price of Bitcoin continue to climb even at slow phase.

Traders like to make a profit. That is why they like so volatile crypto-currency exchange markets. I am also surprised that BCH today grew by 45%. Frankly, I'm not sure that the coin prices will skyrocket further. In my opinion, the bull run should last at least 5 days. I expect the bears will be back soon so I'm ready to sell my crypto-currencies again. This market situation looks strange. I supposed that people would cash their coins to celebrate the upcoming holidays.

12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Eth <100 $ on: December 13, 2018, 07:14:40 PM
To be honest, I'm not surprised that the ETH price has dropped to 90 dollars. A few months ago there were many rumors about Ethereum. The developers of this crypto-currency say that infinite inflation is normal. I absolutely disagree with this statement. The total number of ETH coins should be limited to, for example, 120 millions coins. In this case, Ethereum can have a good future and its price will not fall every month. I suppose that the next level of support for Ethereum will be 80 dollars.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which wallet do you use for storing ERC-20 token? on: December 03, 2018, 11:37:56 PM
I keep private keys with me. And readily load them into either myetherwallet or metamask according to my need.
For long term storage of tokens, I use a single private key for a single token. While my regularly using wallets are used for multiple transactions.

You have a good tactics. I also use the Metamask plugin installed in the internet browser to sign ETH transactions. In addition, I do not store all my ETH coins and ERC20 tokens in the same Ethereum address. I usually divide my funds between different ETH addresses. I store private keys on my computer in a password keeper encrypted with my master password.

The best way is to use an offline Ethereum address generator. Often such an application can compose a new ETH transaction. It is secure and safe.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: China lifts ban on cryptocurrency on: November 10, 2018, 01:47:13 PM
You have some reliable source, I was looking in google and I get old articles with many speculations, if really China releases the cryptos in the country, that would mean that the bull run of December can still happen, I want to believe that but several years in this medium have made me a little skeptical.

https://www.btcnn.com/china-lifts-bitcoin-ban-individuals-and-businesses-can-now-own-cryptocurrencies-legally/

As I understand after reading this article, the Shenzhen court recognized Bitcoin as a legal asset that people may own, transfer and utilize. There is no information about other crypto-currencies but I guess that now all highly rated coins are also legal assets in China.

I'm sure that this is a step in the right direction. The Chinese government was too tough when in 2017 they suddenly banned the crypto-exchange markets. I suppose that now they see how the top rated crypto-currencies thrive and many people from all over the world start adopting Bitcoin and other coins therefore government decided to loosen the severe regulations in this new economic field.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Ethereum prices disappoint you again? on: October 31, 2018, 11:39:42 PM
Anything can happen when the bearish market is trending in cryptocurrency market. I am of an opinion that we might not have seen the lowest of ether yet, the price might dump further!

I tend to agree with you. Ethereum has infinite inflation and its miners receive new ETH coins every day. Ethereum miners will always be receiving at least 5 ETH for each block added to the blockchain. Thus, they generate approximately 1225 ETH per hour or 29400 ETH per day. These coins are transferred to crypto-exchange markets and are sold there. Large investors should buy 29400 ETH, spending about 5.88 million dollars every day just to stabilize the Ethereum price. I think that Ethereum will drop to 170$ again in the future. It is imminent.
16  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to handle tough times in cryptocurrency? on: October 18, 2018, 07:58:57 AM
To handle tough times in crypto-currency you need to sell all your coins and tokens before their prices fall in crypto-exchange markets. In this case your psychological state will be fine, and you will not call these times tough. On the contrary, you will probably wait for a good opportunity to buy some promising crypto-currencies again.

Personally I sell my coins even if I am wary of a bear market coming soon.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Alt market is testing you: Will you break! on: September 26, 2018, 12:11:31 PM
The market of altcoins is already broken. Ethereum fell down to 170 dollars and now it costs about 210 dollars. It seems that ETH is not a lucrative coin.

I'm astonished by Ripple. This crypto-currency is growing +25%. Now XRP is already rated second by capitalization. People say this is a coin approved by banks.
18  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Which strategy do you have for taking profits? on: September 26, 2018, 11:50:03 AM
My strategy has never changed!
1. When I earn more than 20% of the cryptocurrency, sell them!
2. When I lose more than 20% of the cryptocurrency, sell them!
3. When the market as a whole falls, convert all the altcoins into USDT or Bitcoin for preservation!

In my opinion, the second item is incorrect. Typically, the coin price on the crypto-exchange markets drops to -20% and then bounces back to +10% or higher because many investors start buying cheap coins. You need to figure out the current trend of the price movement. If you are sure that the circumstances are negative, sell your crypto-currency immediately. Do not sell coins at low prices if you are in doubt.

My trading strategy is based on scalping, sometimes I use an arbitrage tools. I trade many crypto-currencies simultaneously. I often follow the news from the teams of the coins that I bought.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: People say altcoins won't survive on: September 17, 2018, 01:23:28 AM
Bitcoin is the old school crypto-currency. Any other crypto-currency is considered an altcoin. Some of these alternative coins are technically improved on the blockchain and have many advantages over BTC. Almost all the top altcoins solve some problem and are used in their own area of the ecosystem. Therefore I think that some promising projects will survive but Bitcoin will still remain the "flagship" of the crypto-currency world.
20  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Stop loss feature in Exchanges on: September 17, 2018, 01:04:55 AM
Some exchanges support the "trailing stop" function. It can be used as a stop-loss feature. You set a bid order for selling your coins. Also you define the sell value which should be below the market price by several percent. The trailing stop follows the market price if it grows. When this price is reduced to the value you defined, this order is completed. Thus the exchange can automatically sell your crypto-currency and you do not need to watch the coin price and be aware of the current positive movement trend.
