Bitcoin / Pools / Re: BTC Guild - 0% Fees, Long polling, SSL, JSON API, and more [~750 gH/sec]

I think he is working on the stats now. I am seeing an estimated reward when I check. I am seeing an estimated reward, but I didn't receive any payment for the round that just ended.
I am sure that he will get it worked out. I am sure the data is all there, do I wouldn't sweat it. I am not aware of anybody not getting paid when they should be on this pool. Most likely the front end web site will be fully updated and working soon.
Oh yeah, I agree, but just want to be sure. I've worked out deals with people who've pre-ordered bitcoins at a locked in rate, and I gotta try to deliver tomorrow as promised!

I've been on the current block for 22 minutes, not sure which server I'm on as my miners are just pointed to btcguild.com. Done 181 shares with 2 stales, yet my estimated rewards and unconfirmed rewards are both 0.0000. Is there a problem with the totals, or are my shares being disregarded for whatever reason? I've had no problems on the previous two blocks...
Estimated rewards wasn't adding EU shares. This has now been fixed. Actual rewards were not affected, only the estimation display. So I take it then I was on the EU server? Guess I better hardcode one miner to the west coast, the other to the east....

In afterburner, lower the memory speed all the way down, click apply. Then close afterburner and restart. You should then be able to decrease the memory even further.

So you're interested in bitcoin mining, you put $2k in to a single card, "never really got in to the whole thing", came here and signed up today, and posted it for sale as your first post.
No offense, but I call shenanigans.

Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Redeeming deepbit instant payout

3% fee as far as I know but I'm pretty sure that is already paid as soon as you get the coins so you will get paid out the full 15BTC. Don't quote me on that last point though.
You're correct sir, fees are deducted as soon as your deepbit account is credited with the previous block's earnings, so what you see for your balance is post-fees. I have mine set to 1BTC instant payout, and I get exactly 1.00 BTC transferred to my wallet. cent

Other / Obsolete (selling) / Re: Selling NES and SNES games for bitcoins

In the past week, I've seen the value of a bitcoin swing way high and low. Just because it is worth $7 today certainly doesn't mean it will be tomorrow. Maybe I'm pessimistic, but I've got a feeling the value is going to plummet after one or two more difficulty increases as the new adopters that were spawned by the recent media attention leave in droves.
You may be exactly correct. However if I am going to plan a purchase today, in bitcoins, I'm obviously going to compare it to today's market price. You can speculate all you want as to what's going to happen in the future. I'm just saying, there's no way I'm paying $28, today, for a SNES cartridge. YMMV! cent

Bitcoin / Mining / Re: How to know if my GPUs are communicating with Bitcoin?

It's working, you're just mining by yourself which at ~70Mh/s, will take close to a year to find a valid block.
Forget the bitcoin app for anything other than sending/receiving funds. Go create an account at one of the various pools (deepbit, btcguild, etc) and modify your scripts to connect to them with the username and password you setup. That way you're adding your resources to a pool of other people, which greatly increases your chances at getting valid blocks, and you all share a portion of the 50BTC.
For what it's worth, I'm using two Geforce 9800 GT's and have about the same hash rates, and I'm averaging 0.33BTC a day. Can't wait for the 5850's to get here!!
